Ministers have admitted that riots could break out outside a new migrant camp in East Sussex. Steve Reed, the communities secretary, said that moving hundreds of migrants into the former army training facility at Crowborough could raise anxiety among residents and lead to protests and even riots similar to those in the summer of 2024. The Home Office transferred the first 27 men to the Crowborough camp last month and plans to house up to 540 at the site over the next year.

Imagine a kindergarten talent show where every child is handed a microphone, told they’re brilliant, and encouraged to scream whatever they feel. Facts are optional, and tantrums are welcome. Now replace those toddlers with embittered semi-celebrities clinging to cultural relevance, amplify their egos with national airtime, and broadcast it five days a week. That’s The View. What once was pitched as a platform for intelligent dialogue has morphed into a bitter cocktail of rage, identity politics, and intellectual laziness. Once known for its various voices, The View has devolved into a soapbox for those who believe their outrage is a virtue.

LOS ANGELES — Democratic National Committee Vice Chair David Hogg said Friday that Democrats have to figure out how to grow their party in order to help younger people pay their bills and focus on having fun and sex. He told comedian Bill Maher during an appearance on the “Real Time” show that assisting younger people with getting by will allow them to “focus on what young people should be focused on.” (snip) “Young people should be able to focus on what young people should be focused on, which is how to get laid and how to go and have fun,” the vice chair continued.
