Former UK Ambassador to the U.S. Peter Mandelson announced Sunday that he has resigned from the Labour Party, amid growing scrutiny over his connections to the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Mandelson’s resignation comes after the release on Friday of Department of Justice documents suggesting Epstein made payments totaling $75,000 to accounts linked to the Labour peer between 2003 and 2004. Mandelson, who was a sitting member of Parliament at the time, denied receiving the money, but said he would resign to avoid causing “further embarrassment” over his ties to Epstein.

I said this Epstein files business would backfire on democrats. Otherwise it would have come gushing out while Biden was president. It's fun to watch them squirm.

In January of 2017 California Senator Dianne Feinstein abdicated her position as Vice-Chair of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence (SSCI). Upon the initiation of a new congress, and two weeks before the inauguration of President Donald Trump, Virginia Senator Mark Warner took the SSCI Vice-Chair seat…. and that’s how things get started. Amid a concerted effort to resist the incoming administration the Russia Collusion Conspiracy was launched. Politicians, the U.S. intelligence apparatus and DC beltway media united in common purpose to push a Trump-Russia narrative. Within the early days of that effort, the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence initiated an investigation into Russian interference with the election.

So, it only seemed fitting that The Federalist compile 10 of the justice’s best quotes from over the years to celebrate the occasion.

Apparently, the Senate and House intelligence committees are very concerned about what Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard is doing. Almost every tweet from Senator Mark Warner in the past 48 hours has been about DNI Tulsi Gabbard. What seems to worry them the most is that they don’t know exactly what she is doing. Triggered by Senate Select Committee on Intelligence (SSCI) Vice-Chairman Mark Warner, the Democrats are now demanding Director Gabbard tell them her intentions and her itinerary so they can monitor her activity. Democrats in the Washington state legislature are pushing a proposal that establishes a list of demographic groups that are presumed to be “socially disadvantaged” for the purposes of state business certification. Based on the breadth of those categories, roughly 70 percent of Washington state residents would fall under the bill’s definition of “socially disadvantaged.” Under existing statute, the Office of Minority and Women’s Business Enterprises (OMWBE) defines a “socially disadvantaged individual” as someone who has experienced racial or ethnic prejudice or cultural bias within American society due to group identity, stemming from circumstances beyond the individual’s control. The agency may also determine social disadvantage on a case-by-case basis.

The former was well funded and portrayed favorably by the corporate “news” media as a centrist, while the latter struggled to raise money and was labeled an extremist because of her strong support of gun rights. Spanberger won by double digits and most Virginians thought they were getting a slightly more liberal governor than her predecessor, Glenn Youngkin. The group further noted the importance of states working alongside ICE and Customs and Border Protection officials to remove such individuals — including unlawfully present criminals — from America’s streets.

Last year, more people moved out of Colorado to other states than vice versa. Interstate “net migration” was negative. After factoring in births, the state’s overall population increased less than half a percent. That’s the lowest since the oil and gas bust of 1989 nearly a half century ago. These figures put Colorado in the bottom half of population growth. We’re 29th of the 50 states. Neighboring Utah grew at the fifth-highest rate, so Colorado can’t blame it on the demise of the carbon-spewing, environment-wrecking, injury-causing, traffic-jamming ski industry which is mired in a record snow drought.
