As families across the U.S. gather on Thanksgiving to celebrate one of the nation’s most cherished national holidays, some educators and schools are lamenting the day, pushing back on its "colonial" roots, and incorporating diversity, equality and inclusion DEI into the holiday. At the University of California, Davis, the California History-Social Science Project, which describes itself as "Resources & professional learning for K-12 history-social science," hosted a Zoom event called "Decolonizing Thanksgiving in the Classroom."

Communism never ended with the fall of the USSR: it rejuvenated it. With the help of the WEF and other globalists they are determined to take down the USA brick by brick. It would be a gold mine for them.

Bump that! I'm so tired of the left stealing our country bit by bit. In the spirit of diversity, if you don't like a holiday, don't celebrate it. But also, don't try to keep others from celebrating. You nasty demonic communists need Jesus. We all do, but you punks do your best to make sure few there be that find him. Just like your father the devil. Ugh!

These people must be loads of laughs during the holidays. Henceforth, North America will beknown as 'Turtle Island'. You can't make this stuff up. Idiots.
Many (all?) civilizations have been expansionist in history yet the only one they find fault with is the USA. Total BS. Hypocrites.
We can give the USA back to the native Americans, Mexico back to the Aztecs and Mayans and South America back to the Incas. Don't forget the Patagonians! We can give back the Caribbean Islands too. Oh, the indigenous population is all dead! Let's give the world back to its indigenous populations and pat ourselves on the back. A pat on the back is a foot up from a kick in the pants.

Obviously this shouldn't be a holiday so they need to have mandatory teacher training Thursday and Friday to make up for the "colonial" roots.

Make the globalists stop trying to colonize every tradition in Western culture. They join, and then collapse it from within. Very much like the colonization they purport to lament. Just a bunch of steenkin' hypocrites.

The The European people who celebrated the first Thanksgiving were Colonist Caucasians with their Native Americans guests. There is no record of Transgenders or gays or anyone else. The tradition caught on.. Why has this become a DEI issue? Thank God for what we have and stop this rabble rousing among ignorant people.

It must suck being a dem living in the depressed dark world of their minds. Since the time of when there were more than two people in the world there has been war, and slavery, and rape, and murder, and destruction, and the taking over of other people's land and property etc. Everywhere, this has happened everywhere in every land and culture. If they think the American Indians just sat around weaving blankets and stringing beads and beating on drums, just lovely, lovely people, they are wrong. Study world history and you will discover a lot of people were pretty vicious. Grow up or just go away and leave the rest of us alone. You want to border on mental illness, that is your choice. But I will not be bullied into feeling bad because I will have a nice meal tomorrow, watch some football, maybe take a nap and thank God I live in America.

This has been going on for years now. I shelve books in an academic library and I can tell you "decolonization" is one of the big buzzwords in academia land. We normal people just ignore the crazy and get together to eat, laugh and watch football.

If Dems want Americans to repent for their ancestors "colonizing" the US, they'll first have to explain to Middle America why they're OK with it now.
Half-wit Biden, on his first day in office, encouraged illegals to enter the US. Illegally. He invited them to "come" to the US "to be heard". We don't know how many NGOs collected taxpayer money to help them get here and STAY here. We do know that when they came in by the millions, Democrats already had sanctuary states and cities prepared for them. Democrats gave them free lodging in fancy hotels, all meals included, cash, gift cards, jobs, free education for their children, and even loans to buy homes. When Democrats talk about "inclusion" remember who was first in line to get all the goodies. And remember most of them are STILL here. What does it tell you that Dems are STILL protecting them? It tells me they don't believe Americans deserve to come first. Even on their own soil.

Put some meaning behinds their words. They should donate their houses and other real estate to the indigenous perpetual victims. Me, I am a very happy America. I've earned what I have and I am keeping it. On T-day we will have the whole family gathered and we will all share some of what we are most thankful for - family tradition, toast and dig in to a great mea

The US won Mexican-held lands (not very populated lands might I add) in war and by treaty, and cash. The US can give those lands back. So how about we start with SoCal, Ariz, and NM? After the convo is started, we can let those areas hold elections to agree or disagree. It would be interesting!

All of these academics and activists think that the Native Americans lived a Disney like existence. They were, wise, peaceful, and one with nature. They never got illnesses or had any kind of tribal wars or fighting. Everything was in harmony. What a bunch of baloney! The PC police better check their storylines.

The first Thanksgiving was celebrated by White Europeans and Native Americans from the Northeast. There was not one collard green or chitlin on the table and no amount of DEI fantasy will change that.

There are no such things as elite colleges in the US any longer. They are all the same. Only question is, how much are you willing to spend for a Degree in Hate America?
Charlie Kirk was right, college is a waste of time and money.

The reason the Pilgrims celebrated thanksgiving was to thank God that by his grace and mercy they were still alive with the help of friendly Indians. It was a celebration of their survival.

The quote “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing” is often attributed to Edmund Burke. However, it has been suggested that the exact origin of this quote is not definitively traced, and it has been attributed to various figures, including John Stuart Mill. The quote emphasizes the importance of moral responsibility and the potential consequences of inaction in the face of wrongdoing. Don't know for sure who said it, but it's certainly where we are today.
