On Thursday’s broadcast of NewsNation’s “On Balance,” Rhode Island State Rep. Charlene Lima (D) stated that we should be “commending Mr. Homan and ICE for protecting our streets from these vile criminals” and law enforcement should be required to help ICE and face penalties if they don’t.
Lima said, “What we should be doing is commending Mr. Homan and ICE for protecting our streets from these vile criminals, these child predators, fentanyl traffickers, these are bad people. And we have Mr. Homan and ICE coming in to protect our streets from these type of people, to keep our community safer.”

Key MAGA influencers who were critical of the Trump administration’s handling of the Epstein files are rallying behind President Donald Trump following the Wall Street Journal’s hit piece on the president, contending he sent a lewd letter to disgraced dead financier Jeffrey Epstein for his 50th birthday.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk, Journalist Megyn Kelly, Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, and journalist Jack Posobiec were among the infleuncers who took to X on Thursday night to question the Journal’s report of an alleged letter Trump supposedly wrote to Epstein in 2003, which Trump says is “FAKE” and has vowed to sue the outlet, News Corp., and Rupert Murdoch over it.

Congress is officially sending a package detailing $9 billion in spending cuts to President Donald Trump’s desk, minutes after midnight on Friday.
The bill, called a "rescissions package," was approved by the House of Representatives in a late-night 216 to 213 vote after intense debate between Republicans and Democrats. Just two Republicans, Reps. Brian Fitzpatrick, R-Pa., and Mike Turner, R-Ohio, voted in opposition.
Friday was also the deadline for passing the legislation, otherwise the White House would be forced to re-obligate those funds as planned.
It’s a victory for House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., but a mostly symbolic one

The mainstream media, print and broadcast, has largely ignored the fact that FOX News recently achieved an unprecedented milestone in the 75 year history of U.S. commercial television.
FOX News not only has more viewers now than the other two mainstream cable news channels combined (Trump Derangement Syndrome channels CNN and MSNBC), but also for the first time is outranking the three major legacy commercial broadcast networks that also suffer from TDS (ABC, CBS, and NBC).
As FOX News Media announced in a news release on July 15:
During the week of July 7–13, FOX News Channel (FNC) averaged

Live by the federal subsidy ... well, you know the rest. And if not, Robert Kennedy Jr just served up a big reminder.
Republicans in Congress got thwarted in their attempt to defund providers delivering pediatric sex-change therapies. Instead, the HHS Secretary will act within his authority to deny Medicare and Medicaid funds to hospitals and clinics that provide these services, forcing them into a choice between funding for actual care and pandering to the extreme Left at the expense of children. National Review got the scoop:
The Department of Health and Human Services will soon begin the rule-making process to prohibit the federal government from directly funding sex-trait modifications for minors

US President Donald Trump says he's ordered the US Justice Department to produce "all pertinent" grand jury testimony related to sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
"Based on the ridiculous amount of publicity given to Jeffrey Epstein, I have asked Attorney General Pam Bondi to produce any and all pertinent Grand Jury testimony, subject to Court approval," Trump said in a post on Truth Social.
Attorney General Pam Bondi posted minutes later: "We are ready to move the court tomorrow to unseal the grand jury transcripts."
The development comes after days of sustained pressure from Trump's Make America Great Again (Maga) supporters demanding further disclosures in the Epstein case.

A “bawdy” letter to Jeffrey Epstein bearing President Donald Trump’s signature was included in an album of letters Epstein received for his 50th birthday in 2003, The Wall Street Journal reported on Thursday evening, citing documents reviewed by the newspaper.
The letter, which the Journal said Trump sent at the request of Epstein’s friend Ghislaine Maxwell, would have been written 16 years before the Justice Department charged the now-dead Epstein with child sex trafficking in 2019, during Trump’s first term in office.
The missive, which Trump denied having written, came to light as the president angrily tries to tamp down

The media’s desire to make themselves the main character in the story reached the Platonic level on Wednesday as CBS correspondent Scott MacFarlane joined former moderator of NBC’s Meet the Press, Chuck Todd, on his appropriately named podcast: The Chuck Toddcast. According to MacFarlane, he was diagnosed with PTSD after the first assassination attempt against President Trump, not because of the shooting, but because of the reaction of Trump supporters. Meanwhile, Todd thought this was a completely reasonable thing to claim.
MacFarlane recalled, “For those of us there, it was such a horror because

Connie Francis, the immensely popular mid-century pop singer known for teary ballads exemplified by “Who’s Sorry Now?” and jaunty, infectious near-novelty records “Stupid Cupid” and “Vacation,” died Wednesday. She was 87.
Her statement was announced on Facebook by her publicist and longtime friend Ron Roberts. A cause was not disclosed, but Francis was recently hospitalized in Florida where she reported “extreme pain” after suffering a fractured hip. In today’s post, Roberts writes: “It is with a heavy heart and extreme sadness that i inform you of the passing of my dear friend Connie Francis last night. I know that Connie would approve that her fans are among the first

New polls show President Donald Trump’s approval among Republicans has risen—not fallen—despite nonstop social media backlash over the Epstein case.
CNN chief data analyst Harry Enten admitted this week he was surprised to find that Trump’s standing with Republican voters has strengthened despite widespread complaints on social media about the Epstein files.
“You might think his approval ratings were going down with Republicans—if anything, they’re going up,” Enten said, referencing recent polling from CNN and Quinnipiac. According to CNN’s numbers, Republican approval of Trump rose from 86% in the previous poll to 88% this week. Quinnipiac’s poll showed a similar jump, from 87% to 90%.

Emil Bove’s nomination to serve as a judge on the Third Circuit Court of Appeals is headed to the Senate floor after Democrats walked out of the Senate Judiciary Committee meeting in protest.
The panel voted Thursday morning with only Republican support to advance Bove’s nomination, as every Democrat abstained from recording a vote either way. Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.) shouted over the proceedings as the roll was called, imploring colleagues to continue debate and accusing committee Chair Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) of failing to follow Senate rules.
All Democrats, barring Booker, left the hearing room during the votes to advance Bove and other nominees pending before the committee.

Zohran Mamdani is running for mayor of New York City at exactly the right time in American history. The confluence of a shattered Democratic Party, an electorate wild for change, and a bitterly divided opposition will make the 33-year-old socialist the next mayor of New York City.
As long as he doesn't self-destruct, that is.
We're going to see if Mamdani can keep his foot out of his mouth in the next three and a half months and avoid making his support of an "intifada" against Jews any larger of a campaign issue than it already is. Otherwise, there doesn't appear to be anything that can stop his election victory.
