Ten Iranian Questions

1. What are we to make of Saturday night’s destruction of the three Iranian nuclear sites at Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan? Trump and the U.S. military took a great risk and succeeded in astounding fashion. Operationally, the destruction of the nuclear sites seems to have gone perfectly, in contrast to a long history of America’s Middle East debacles from the failed 1980 Carter rescue mission to the 2021 flight from Kabul.

An excellent overview and some honest answers of the nature of "We will have to wait and see." but none of the panic that the hapless dems are trying to push. As Hanson states, success is a winner with public opinion, no matter how insanely the Left whines. In fact, their whining is doing more damage to them than Trump. Another key point is that Iran was hated by most and only a useful tool to others. No one is going to rush to their aid, especially seeing what Israel and the US have been capable of. Any further aggression by Iran is likely to trigger an overwhelming response, shredding Iran's military and leadership even further. And the best thing is that Iran's nuclear capability has been destroyed. If some capability remains, it is likely to be ferreted out and destroyed as well. That is an enormous and essential win.

HEY!!!! They didn't get the enriched material. The Iranian bomb ability was not reduced by one whit. With the material a working bomb can be put together in a week in a regular machine shop. Not a good bomb, suitable for a missile, but one that will do a lot of messy damage. The Iranians removed the material from Fordo BEFORE the raid. Where is it? The raid means NOTHING without the capture or destruction of that bomb Uranium and/or Plutonium.

This may be what #6 is referring to. CNN all over it. https://www.forbes.com/sites/tylerroush/2025/06/23/did-the-us-destroy-irans-uranium-supply-or-not-vance-experts-clash-with-trumps-claims/ AI says that reports are conflicting - that some say that Uranium stores were moved to Fordow in the belief that it was more secure. It will take a little time to fully evaluate the results of the bombings. It was interesting to me that they targeted the two camouflaged air shafts. The bombs went directly to the "guts" of the facility.

If the report that the uranium was at 60% enrichment is correct, it is not bomb-ready. Most machine shops don't have the technology to enrich it to 90%. I understand the technology Iran bought to do the enrichment was recently blown up. And I don't want to work somewhere where someone is working with 60% enriched uranium on the lab bench next to me. However, I can think of naughty ways to use the material so I guess that means that Israel and the US need to just keep blowing things up until they believe it has been dealt with.

Aerial images of trucks lined up outside Fordow were what gave rise to the question of whether the material had been moved out. But another more plausible story was that they had brought material here from other sites because this site was more secure.

What an impressive sight it was Sunday, when the futuristic B-2 stealth bombers sliced through the powder-blue Missouri sky on their triumphant return to home base in the American heartland after dropping their Massive Ordnance Penetrator bombs on Iran’s underground nuclear sites. The strikes were “a spectacular military success,” President Trump told the world Saturday night, after emerging from the Situation Room. “Iran’s key nuclear enrichment facilities have been completely and totally obliterated. Iran, the bully of the Middle East, must now make peace,” he said.

Pennsylvania Sen. John Fetterman brushed aside far-left “Squad” Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s clamoring to impeach President Trump over his Saturday strikes against three of Iran’s nuclear facilities. Fetterman (D-Pa.), who lauded the attack, warned that Ocasio-Cortez’s (D-NY) threat reduces the significance of impeachment, which he implied should be reserved for more extreme circumstances. “Of course, no, she knows it. I know it. We all know it,” Fetterman told Fox News’ “America’s Newsroom” when asked about the possibility of Trump getting impeached over the strikes.

Democrats in Washington are again talking impeachment. Politicians and pundits are expressing outrage over President Donald Trump attacking Iran without a prior authorization of Congress. It is the Claude Rains School of Constitutional Law where politicians are "shocked, shocked" that Trump is using the authority that they accepted in Democratic predecessors. Fourteen years ago this week, I was in court litigating that very issue when President Barack Obama attacked Libya. Most Democrats supported or were silent on the action.

"Real Time" host Bill Maher and Rep. Wesley Hunt, R-Texas, hammered Whoopi Goldberg and "The View" on Friday after the co-host claimed that life for Black Americans is equivalent to women living under Iran's oppressive theocratic regime. Maher claimed that Democrats took a step "back to sanity" after The New York Times took a more "sensible liberal, not crazy woke" position on transgender issues. He then asserted that the second step Democrats should take is to "do something about ‘The View’" after Goldberg's comment comparing life for Black Americans to living under Iran's brutal regime.

Immediately, Padilla got his media moment wish -- once Secret Service agents, who had no idea who Padilla was, forcibly removed him. Sen. Blue-collar workers have seen real wage growth of almost two percent in the first five months of President Donald Trump’s second term, the largest increase for any administration in nearly 60 years. The 1.7% pay bump is in stark contrast to negative growth under Joe Biden, according to new data from the US Department of the Treasury. Since Richard Nixon in 1969, Trump has been the only president to record positive growth for blue-collar workers in his first five months. He also achieved 1.3% in his first term.

Americans are usually an optimistic people – except when it comes to our country’s future. Right-track/wrong-track surveys have long found yawning gaps favoring the dark view. The RealClearPolitics poll average, stretching back to 2009, reports no point with a positive majority but several where the spread was 40 or even 50 points to the negative. When Donald Trump was sworn in last January, the wrong-track view held sway by 30 points. Followers of the news – which presents the president’s first months in office as a kleptocratic frenzy marked by destructive economic policies and naked assaults on the Constitution – would expect these numbers

The US military strikes on three of Iran’s nuclear facilities last weekend did not destroy the core components of the country’s nuclear program and likely only set it back by months, according to an early US intelligence assessment that was described by four people briefed on it. The assessment, which has not been previously reported, was produced by the Defense Intelligence Agency, the Pentagon’s intelligence arm. It is based on a battle damage assessment conducted by US Central Command in the aftermath of the US strikes, one of the sources said.

That is mostly to be expected of the ghostwritten memoir of an obscure judge. Except that Jackson received a $893,750 advance for her memoir and is now reporting $2 million in profits last year. The Fed chair once warned against using speculative forecasts to drive policy. Now he’s doing exactly that. Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell made a quiet but extraordinary admission on Tuesday: if the Fed were following the actual data, it would be cutting interest rates. But it isn’t—because the Fed expects President Trump’s tariffs to raise inflation, and it’s choosing to act on that forecast instead. “If you just look at the basic data and don’t look at the forecast, you would say that we would’ve continued cutting,” Powell told lawmakers. “The difference, of course, is at this time all forecasters are expecting pretty soon that some significant inflation will show up

The apparent plan is now to find the president’s deployment violates the Posse Comitatus Act, which goes to show that judges bent on executing a coup by courts also have six ways to Sunday to rebel against the duly elected president.
