Trump has done it again. That much is clear. He has outmaneuvered and out-thought everyone else, and did what many others assumed to be impossible.
But what exactly has he done?
On Wednesday morning, during his trip to Saudi Arabia, Trump met with Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa, who from 2017 until January of this year, was known as Abu Mohammad al-Julani. Al-Sharaa was the leader of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), the “Syrian Liberation Group,” a Sunni jihad group that had been linked to al-Qaeda and was working to overthrow Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
In January 2025, HTS finally attained its goal. Assad fled to Russia. Al-Julani took control in Damascus

I wish I could locate the Twitter wit who said, during the Biden administration, that "Pete Buttigieg is so bad at being Secretary of Transportation that people actually know the name of the Secretary of Transportation." (Snip) Nothing seems to stand in the way of the unaccomplished former Indiana mayor taking another stab at his party's presidential nomination — and he's so serious about rebranding himself that he's even grown a beard.
The beard jokes write themselves, but I'm not here to take cheap shots at Buttigieg; I'm here to take high-class, data-rich cheap shots.
Join me, won't you?

As if you needed more reasons to like Tom Cruise, here's another.
Cruise might be a crazy Scientologist who once jumped on a couch to express his love for a woman who ultimately left him, but I will hand it to the man. He's a fantastic actor, (Snip) But aside from his acting chops, one of the reasons he's so respected by audiences is that he doesn't insult their intelligence, or waste their time. The man knows what his job is, and he respects it to the point where he doesn't use it as a platform for personal politics.

One of the main reasons DNC Vice Chair David Hogg is on the outs with the national party machine is his push to challenge incumbent Democrats in primaries, particularly those whom he views as entrenched and out of touch with Democrat Party voters. (Snip) perhaps even more, shall we say, "interesting" was seeing Rep. Debbie Dingell (D-MI) appearing to be fast asleep during a House Energy and Commerce Committee markup of budget reconciliation text on Tuesday.
A video that looks to have been taken by an audience member shows Dingell, who is 71, lying back in her chair and apparently snoozing:

Democrat Rep. Shiri Thanedar (MI) has introduced a resolution to force a chamber-wide impeachment vote against President Trump.
Thanedar introduced “his impeachment resolution as privileged on Tuesday afternoon, meaning leaders have two days of the House in session to take up the legislation,” per Fox News.
No House Republicans have signaled support for the measure, and leaders could potentially keep lawmakers from voting on impeachment at all.
When deeming his resolution privileged, Thanedar said the president “has unlawfully conducted himself, bringing shame to the presidency and the people of the United States,” while calling the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) a “flagrantly unconstitutional creation.”

Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN) has quickly become one of America’s top members of Congress thanks to his outstanding voting record and humorous put-downs of leftist anchors during hostile interviews. He once again went viral today after a liberal tried to ambush him on the streets of D.C. regarding the massive piece of legislation introduced yesterday by Congress that will enact a considerable chunk of President Trump’s agenda.
As The Gateway Pundit reported, House Republicans on the Ways and Means Committee—led by Chairman Jason Smith (R-MO)—released the text of a monumental new tax reform package titled “The One, Big, Beautiful Bill.”

The rate at which President Trump is moving his agenda forward and taking executive action is astounding. Trump is regularly accomplishing in one week what a White House used to be satisfied with accomplishing in one month. This past week is a perfect example. President Trump announced a new trade deal with both the U.K. and China, brokered an in person meeting between Russia and Ukraine, de-escalated a possible catastrophic war between India and Pakistan, secured the release of the final American being held hostage by Hamas, and is taking on big pharma in an effort to lower drug prices.

Former Hawaii Rep. and current Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard—who left the Democrat party in October ’24 to become a Republican and join the Trump train—continues to make her mark as she on Tuesday fired the top officials leading the National Intelligence Council because she alleges they are fierce Dem partisans.
Whistleblowers describe the officials as "radically opposed to Trump" who go out of their way to block his agenda.
Gabbard fired Mike Collins, who was serving as the acting chair of the National Intelligence Council, and his deputy, Maria Langan-Riekhof, Tuesday, senior intelligence officials told Fox News Digital.

We're still not tired of winning. In the latest, a Turkish company, Mega Metal, is planning to open a 91,000 square foot facility in South Carolina to manufacture a specific, specialized copper wire used in electronics and semiconductors.
The plant is expected to employ more than a hundred local workers.
A Turkey-based copper wire manufacturer announced on Tuesday it is investing $34 million in South Carolina to establish a 91,000-square-foot facility that will manufacture superfine electrolytic oxygen-free (EOF) copper wire in Fairfield County.
Mega Metal, which has more than 700 employees and distributes products to more than 30 countries, said the project will create 135 new jobs.
