IRS making plans to rescind Harvard’s
tax-exempt status

The Internal Revenue Service is making plans to rescind the tax-exempt status of Harvard University, according to two sources familiar with the matter, which would be an extraordinary step of retaliation as the Trump administration seeks to turn up pressure on the university that has defied its demands to change its hiring and other practices. A final decision on rescinding the university’s tax exemption is expected soon, the sources said. The administration already has blocked more than $2 billion in funding from the nation’s oldest university, which is fighting the White House’s policy demands, citing the constitutional right of private universities to determine their own teaching practices.

Private? Yup. Want tax payer money? No can do. Want to violate the constitution? Not ok. Being private does not allow you to support racists.

Harvard has become nothing but a private training camp for terrorists and revolutionaries. Cut off the taxpayer money and tax them for what they are.

President Donald Trump wants to help illegal migrants self-deport from the United States as some of his supporters complain about the slower-than-hoped pace of deportations and Democrats launch a massive resistance. “We’re doing a self-deportation [program], and we’re going to make it comfortable for people, and we’re going to work with those people to come back into our country legally — the good ones,” Trump told the Spanish-language division of Fox News. He added: The only thing I haven’t determined is what are we going to do? We’re going to give him a stipend, we’re going to give him some money and a plane ticket,

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Wednesday reported “good progress” on negotiations for a mineral rights deal between Ukraine and the United States. “The basic legal stuff is almost finalized, and then, if everything moves as quickly and constructively, the agreement will bring economic results to both our countries,” Zelensky said in his daily address to the Ukrainian people. According to Svyrydenko, Ukrainian negotiators have “adjusted several items within a draft agreement.” If the American side is satisfied with those adjustments, a memorandum of intent could be signed very soon. Zelensky’s remarks echoed the assessment given by Economy Minister Yulia Svyrydenko, who said “significant progress” has been made on the deal.

Gaza? Tunnels? Tehran? Yes, the IDF hit Hamas in all of those places, including in Iran's capital when Israel took out its top leader Ismail Haniyeh. However, the Wall Street Journal reports that the IDF and Israeli intelligence have struck hardest at the heart of Hamas -- its wallet: Israel last month cut off supplies of humanitarian goods to the enclave, some of which Hamas had been seizing and selling to raise funds, according to Arab, Israeli and Western officials. Its renewed offensive has targeted and killed Hamas officials who played important roles in distributing cash to cadres and sent others into hiding, Arab intelligence officials said.

A pair of earthshattering, history-altering, Chris Christie-sized stories broke this week, but they’ve (mostly) skated beneath the political periphery. That’s because you can’t grasp the sheer enormity of the consequences until you connect them together. On their own, they’re inconsequential, back-of-the-page news stories — scarcely soliciting a shoulder shrug from political wonks. But together, as a one-two punch, it will change American politics forever. And it will murder the modern Democratic Party. There’s been a slow-moving coup… but nobody’s noticed! It’s tied to the larger political realignment nationally:

So much for the "he criticized Democrats" narrative that formed around Cody Balmer. The arsonist targeted Josh Shapiro and his family over perceived slights to "the people of Palestine," according to police search warrants, as well as Shapiro's Jewish faith. The timing of the attack -- on Passover -- strongly suggested domestic terrorism in the first place. Now police and prosecutors claim they have evidence to back up that assumption, as well as evidence of Balmer's left-wing extremism ... in the familiar form of Che Fever: The suspected arsonist who allegedly tried to kill Pennsylvania Gov. A distant ocean-covered world, teeming with life. That's the most likely explanation for a new discovery made by scientists, who say they have detected the most promising signs yet of life outside our solar system. Using data from the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST), the astronomers, led by the University of Cambridge, have identified the chemical fingerprints dimethyl sulfide (DMS) and dimethyl disulfide (DMDS) – molecules that indicate life. Here on Earth, these molecules are only produced by living organisms – primarily microbial life such as marine phytoplankton. The molecules have been detected in the atmosphere of exoplanet K2-18b, which is located around 124 light-years from Earth in the constellation of Leo.

The United Kingdom’s supreme court ruled Wednesday that males who identify as women do not fall qualify as women under anti-discrimination law, a monumental decision that will have major consequences for British law. The high court defined “woman” based on sex rather than gender identity, keeping it within the bounds of scientific reality rather than giving into the demands of left-wing activists. The ruling specifically addressed Britain’s 2010 Equality Act, an anti-discrimination law that covers nine protected characteristics and applies to various sectors of British life.

I’m often darkly amused by common examples of inherently false nomenclature: “Jumbo shrimp.” “Government ethics.” “Unbiased news media.” And one of our society’s biggest falsehoods-in-a-name: “Non-governmental organizations.” Until recently these groups have been widely seen as international, idealized versions of domestic non-profits. We thought of them as do-good organizations set up by people who really care — about the environment, or poor people, or children, or freedom. We imagined they raise money, help the downtrodden, send out press releases and engage in other private activities to promote the causes they favor. They’re not government entities, we thought

The New York Times hates Donald Trump, in part because of his “nativism.” He doesn’t appreciate the wonderful things the Chinese have done for us. He even went so far as to suggest that covid might have originated in a Chinese laboratory! And he has imposed tariffs on Chinese goods, a retrograde, far-right policy–even if tariffs were formerly recommended by the Times’s own Democrats. But a foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds, and, as we all know, the Timesmen have big brains. Thus today’s headline: The paper’s lack of self-awareness is stunning. The Muslim group intends to sue Spain in Strasbourg over these Catholic processions, with Choudary arguing that these religious events, rooted in Catholic tradition since 1978, are a “provocation” against Muslims.

Houseguests and fish begin to smell after three days, as the saying goes. But ex-presidents who stay in Washington, D.C., reek almost immediately. In the history of the republic, former presidents have had the decency to get out of town rather than loom over their successor. The two exceptions appear to be Woodrow Wilson and Barack Obama. Wilson, however, has the excuse that he was practically bedridden and expired within three years. Obama has no excuse at all.

The Democrat senator who traveled to El Salvador to meet with a deported illegal migrant and alleged MS-13 member was seen drinking what appeared to be margaritas, infuriating many online. Chris Van Hollen, the junior senator from Maryland, met Thursday in El Salvador with Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a man who was sent there by the Trump administration in March despite an immigration court order preventing his deportation. But it was his decision to sip margaritas with Abrego Garcia, as El Salvador´s President Nayib Bukele put it, that caused a wave of outrage.

That would have been smart. But he appears to still be there and still grandstanding. After being told bluntly by the Central American nation's vice president that the senator wasn't going to be able to get in to see Garcia at CECOT, it looks like Van Hollen decided to go there anyway to try to get in. It didn't go well. He says he was stopped by soldiers.

It’s not just Biden family artwork that’s struggling to sell these days. Former President Joe Biden’s attempt to bill $300,000 per speaking appearance is finding few takers, The Post has learned — as some of his own former aides say it’s time for the 82-year-old to leave the spotlight for good after reminiscing about “colored kids” Tuesday in his first public address since leaving office. A source familiar with Biden’s faltering speaking career said that the 46th president’s standard pitch is $300,000 — 25% below Barack Obama’s $400,000 asking price upon leaving office in 2017. It’s unclear how negotiable Biden’s rate is.
