Democratic Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer notched low favorability among voters in April, according to a poll from The Economist/YouGov released on Wednesday.
The survey found that just 23% of voters held a favorable view of Schumer, while 51% of respondents said they viewed the New York Democrat unfavorably. The poll comes after Schumer faced enormous intraparty backlash over his vote to help advance a GOP spending bill backed by President Donald Trump in March.
Several Democratic lawmakers have notably called for Schumer to step down in recent weeks, including Democratic Maryland Rep. Glenn Ivey and Democratic Michigan State Sen. Mallory McMorrow. Some left-wing youth activist organizations

I guess United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres didn't think his hyping global warming risks brought him enough attention, so now he says, "The era of global boiling has arrived!"
Global boiling?
Give me a break.
Yes, the climate is warming.
We can deal with that.
What annoys me is politicians, activists and media pushing hysterical myths.
Myth 1: The Arctic will soon be ice-free.
It "could already be ice-free by the summer of 2030!" shrieks a DW report. "'Doomsday Glacier' is melting faster than scientists thought," adds the BBC. "Earth's biggest cities are at risk!"
Nonsense.
"It's not happening at nearly the catastrophic pace that they claim," says Heartland Institute fellow Linnea Lueken in my

I'm not a doctor and I don't play one on TV, so please take it as a non-medical, totally unprofessional diagnosis when I tell you that Taylor Lorenz is a high-functioning sociopath with murder in her heart and CNN's Donie O'Sullivan is one of the many moral cowards in the legacy dinosaur media who enable her.
Lorenz, you might recall, is a semi-anonymous child of wealth and privilege who went on to become a tech and privacy reporter for many of the big media names after having her personal life scrubbed from the internet. Her specialty, even before being virtually fired last year from the Washington Post, is playing

Stephen A. Smith, the fast-talking ESPN “quick take” guru (and occasional beef jerky salesman) is, in a roundabout way, a colleague of Joe Rogan: They’ve appeared together on ESPN’s UFC telecasts.
Rogan, of course, is one of the leading experts in cagefighting. He personally competed in martial arts tournaments throughout his early 20s and was an eyewitness to some of the biggest, most dramatic moments in MMA history. He knows the trainers and the fighters like the back of his (fist); they’re his closest friends.
So when Rogan heard Smith saying something stupid and disrespectful about a UFC fighter, he called him out. Here’s a short,

Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) has quickly positioned herself as the face of the Democratic Party. If she's not code-switching into being "street" in front of a left-wing audience, she's on cable news or in front of a podium at the Capitol Building trying to make news.
But now, she's got a new audience to contend with: The Federal Election Commission.
According to a new report, the FEC has opened a probe into a donation made to Crockett through the Democratic Party fundraising apparatus ActBlue.
The Federal Election Commission opened an investigation into firebrand Rep. Jasmine Crockett, D-Texas, regarding donations to her 2024 campaign made through ActBlue,

In a age of lightning-fast information and leaks over secrets, it's remarkable how quiet things are on who may have been behind the two known assassination attempts on President Trump last summer, one of which almost succeeded.
We still don't know.
But Byron York at the Washington Examiner thinks the Ukraine angle of Ryan Routh's second attempt in Florida is worth a closer look.
He writes:
It is remarkable how little we know about the two 2024 attempts on President Donald Trump’s life. We don’t know much about Thomas Crooks, the 20-year-old who shot Trump in the ear during a July 13 campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. Nor do we know much

An immigration judge has ruled that Columbia University graduate student Mahmoud Khalil is eligible for deportation under a decades-old federal statute.
Immigration Judge Jamee Comans found that due to his involvement in the pro-Palestinian protests that rocked Columbia University in the waning days of the Biden administration, Khalil’s continued presence in the United States raised “potentially serious foreign policy consequences.”
It’s the latest development surrounding the efforts of Secretary of State Marco Rubio to deport Khalil under the McCarran-Walter Act of 1952, which allows the secretary to make the determination

There was a time when liberals promised to “get the government out of your bedroom” and then they decided that the government should be in your bathroom instead. And I’m not just talking about the transgender movement which really took off later, but the obsession with controlling every aspect of human life to save the planet.
President Trump ended Obama’s War on Lightbulbs. Now he ended the War on Showers.
Today, President Donald J. Trump signed an Executive Order to end the Obama-Biden war on water pressure and make America’s showers great again.
The Order directs the Secretary of Energy to immediately rescind the overly complicated federal rule that redefined “showerhead”

CNN host Anderson Cooper was hoisted by his own left-wing petard after being schooled by an audience member for misgendering her.
The farcical irony unfolded Tuesday night during a town hall Cooper hosted with Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont.
At one point, Cooper called on a woman in the audience and got scolded on live TV for assuming the lady was female. “I want to introduce Grace Thomas,” Cooper said. “She’s a local civil rights attorney. She’s a Democrat, right?”
An annoyed Thomas shot back: “It’s ‘they/them’ pronouns, actually. Thank you.” An apologetic Cooper stammered in shock, “Oh.” This ridiculous exchange perfectly encapsulates the left’s frivolous obsession with triviality, as the

Did you bet on March Madness?
I did, and many of you did, too. Americans bet billions on NCAA tournaments.
We also "spent $60 billion at casinos last year (and) about $12 billion on online sports betting," notes economist Jason Sorens in my new video.
Sorens published a state-by-state ranking of gambling freedom across America. Nevada lets gambling flourish, while Utah, Hawaii and Georgia ban most of it.
Now some politicians want to ban more.
Philadelphia mayor Cherelle Parker moved to ban arcade-style gambling machines found in gas stations and convenience stores, loftily saying, "It's not OK to tempt our residents ... to gamble away their hard-earned dollars."
Some states ban at-home poker games, occasionally

Middle-class America is rapidly going the way of the dinosaur and the dodo bird.
And California, where mansions and homeless people abound, is the template Democrats want to bring to America as a whole.
Because it suits their needs. Big money donors and poor people in crisis who think they need ‘compassionate’ Democrats’ help.
The ‘American Dream’ was that any normal person who worked hard and saved could have a house and a relatively comfortable — and meaningful — life, expecting to live better and longer than their parents did. That dream has turned into a pipe dream for many.
Why? Political leaders from both parties have presided over the extinction of manufacturing

The desperate Dems, pole-axed by Trump’s fast start on his second term, have revved up their TDS Rube Goldberg scandal machine. The so-called SignalGate affair is being vigorously flogged, with the usual help from Republican Fifth Columnists. But the “-gate” suffix doesn’t mean what the Democrats think it does.
Recently, a group meeting including Trump, Vice President Vance, Def Sec Peter Hegseth, and other defense and national security officials, convened to discuss a punitive attack on Yemen’s Houthi terrorists, and inadvertently included Atlantic editor-in-chief Jeffrey Goldberg, best known for his inveterate, hysterical hatred of Donald Trump, and his eager peddling of the preposterous Russia hoax.
