Late last night, President Trump signed an executive order "to end collective bargaining with Federal unions" at more than two dozen government agencies. In theory this puts an end to collective bargaining for more than half of all federal workers. President Donald Trump signed an executive order Thursday evening abolishing union rights at more than two dozen federal agencies and offices, in a major expansion of the administration’s efforts to shrink the federal government. The White House cited national security concerns for terminating workers’ ability to bargain collectively, but the order applies at agencies with both direct and indirect links to national security.

A Manhattan judge on Wednesday dismissed the federal corruption charges levied against New York City Mayor Eric Adams last fall, partially granting the Trump-era Department of Justice’s request to drop the case.
U.S. District Judge Dale Ho, who presided over the Democratic mayor’s case in the Southern District of New York, permanently dismissed the charges in a highly anticipated decision.
In February, the DOJ ordered federal prosecutors to stop pursuing the case and subsequently asked the judge to dismiss the case without prejudice. That would have allowed prosecutors to refile charges against Adams in the future if the DOJ wanted to do so.
Elon Musk visited Central Intelligence Agency headquarters on Tuesday to discuss his government efficiency program.
The visit was the first for Musk since the creation of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), which is charged with rooting out wasteful federal spending and shrinking the government.

Argentina’s poverty rate dropped from 52.9 percent to 38.1 percent during the second half of 2024, according to new data by the National Institute of Statistics and Census of Argentina (INDEC).
Local outlets reported that INDEC, a decentralized entity within the Argentine Economic Ministry, observed a nationwide decrease in poverty and indigence (extreme poverty) rates during the last six months of 2024. Liberal judge Susan Crawford has won Wisconsin's high-stakes state Supreme Court race, beating her conservative opponent Brad Schimel late Tuesday evening, according to NBC News and CNN.
Her win comes despite billionaire Elon Musk pouring around $20 million into the Badger State race in attempts to see Schimel win and Crawford defeated. The entrepreneur had protested what he called "activist judges" and sought to reinforce President Donald Trump and Republican's popularity. With spending on both sides combined, this race broke records for the country's most expensive court race. The final tally could surpass $100 million.

The Trump administration cut funding to a host of Princeton University research projects, the school said Tuesday, marking the latest Ivy League campus to see federal backing reduced or revoked.

Capitol Police arrested one of Senator Cory Booker’s staffers on Monday evening for carrying a pistol without a license on Capitol grounds.

Brown University has opened an investigation into a student for sending emails to administrators asking them what they do in a day.
The 20-year-old sophomore at the university, Alex Shieh, sent emails to all 3,805 administrators at Brown asking them to “Describe what tasks you performed in the past week.” Now the school is investigating him for inflicting “Emotional/Psychological Harm” on the staff, according to documents obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation.
School officials accuse Shieh of obtaining confidential information and are requiring him to send proof he has deleted the content, essentially requiring the student to incriminate himself, something that Brown’s policies are supposed to protect him from.
If it weren’t for the fact that it is Democrats doing it, it would almost be shocking that there is so much opposition to the efforts of Mr. Trump, through DOGE, to eliminate waste, fraud, and abuse in the federal government.
