Trump urges the Supreme Court to stop

Having lost the White House and being in the minority in both chambers of Congress, Democrats are leveraging their expansive network of left-wing district court judges to sabotage the implementation of President Donald Trump’s agenda. In a single day this week, district court judges issued rulings blocking Trump’s executive order banning transgender individuals from enlisting or serving in the military, determined that dismantling the U.S. Agency for International Development by Elon Musk and the Department of Government Efficiency likely violated the Constitution, demanded the Trump administration provide details about flights transporting alleged Venezuelan gang members to El Salvador on Saturday, and ordered the reinstatement of Department of Education grants

All the devices of the enemies of the US Constitution are being laid bare. Can we call this effort by the Left to use federal judges to usurp the Article II powers of the POTUS for what it is, namely TREASON? In what wild reveries of power would any judge want to keep illegal aliens in the country? To protect those with student visas who foment hate crimes? To advocate for trans-whatevers in manning the vanguard of our military? These apparatchiks need to be whittled down and put in their place. Judges? MY @ss.

Of course, it should happen. The Constitution makes that clear. But, John Roberts? Amy Coney Barrett? Anybody feel confident that the Supreme Court will do the right thing?

Aside from simply acting like 1,000 Lilliputians preventing PDJT Gulliver from governing as the elected CEO of the executive branch, what is going on is becoming more clear: At some point, PDJT will simply tell the juidiciary "NO!" in the same vein as President Andrew Jackson. And at that point, the judiciary will hold him in contempt, and the Democrats in Congress will prepare articles of impeachment which they will hope to execute, but only if they take back control of Congress after the mid-terms. Of course, even if they take the House and control the Senate, they won't be able to convict in the Senate. But we will be back to the status quo ante of 2019, when Democrats spent the final two years of PDJT's first term on repeated impeachment proceedings. The effect was to seize up executive branch operations, which was probably their goal all along. Congress can and should put an end to this non-sense by limiting the purview of District Court judges, and possibly Circuit Court judges, too. When the Supreme Court is overloaded with incoming lawfare that doesn't get a hearing for 2-3 years later, the lawfare might end. Not until. And while I respect Kurt Schlichter, Roberts isn't going to do a damned thing. The left has extortion material on him, and they're reminding him of it every day. The only solution to this problem is to increase the Supreme Court's workload from 50 cases per year to several hundred which they can't possibly hear. Only then will the lawfare stop, because the plaintiffs will have nowhere to be heard.

The way I see this: Donald trump is the top guy in the Executive branch of this country. The Supreme Court is the top of the Judicial branch. If the top Executive is to be countermanded it should take the top of the Judicial to do it. Not some biased clown with a robe on and a hard on for conservatives.

Here's Why Trump Will Win the Tariff Standoff 0 replies

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent made it clear in an interview with CNN that the era of trade imbalances is over, and under President Trump, the U.S. will no longer tolerate unfair treatment. During a discussion with CNN’s Kaitlan Collins, Bessent confidently explained the administration’s position on tariffs and trade policy, signaling that Trump’s economic strategy is deliberate and well thought out. When pressed on how the administration’s policies could impact the auto industry, particularly regarding vehicles made with foreign parts, Bessent was blunt. “If half the cars coming into the United States are foreign-made, that's hard to turn around overnight, as you know,” Collins said.

Brave American soldiers helped win World War II. But they could not have succeeded without a rock-solid auto industry that mass-produced tanks, trucks and jeeps by the millions. Today, this key pillar of America’s once-vaunted “Arsenal of Democracy” has been hollowed out by decades of unfair trade. No longer does America fully manufacture its own automobiles. We largely assemble high-value parts made overseas. To restore our auto industry to strategic dominance, President Donald Trump has imposed 25% tariffs not just on foreign-built autos but also on imported auto parts. These new Trump tariffs will provide powerful incentives for automakers to bring engine, transmission and drivetrain production back to American soil.
Teachers Unions Utilize NewsGuard to Censor Education 1 reply

While it is certainly good news that Congress is finally waking up to the dangers posed by the “Censorship Industrial Complex,” last week’s hearing of the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution didn’t sufficiently address one of its most insidious aspects. Sen. Eric Schmitt (R-Mo.), the Subcommittee Chair, did a good job of outlining the threat it presents news outlets that refuse to parrot corporate media propaganda. Unfortunately, neither Sen. Schmitt nor his articulate witnesses devoted anything like enough attention to the capture of our public education system by the censorship regime promoted by the nation’s two largest teachers unions.
Policing as Public Health 2 replies

Twenty-first-century policymakers profess a deep commitment to “public health,” and they now apply the concept to the problem of violent crime in cities. When Joe Biden took office as president in 2021, for example, he promoted the adoption of public-health interventions to address an uptick of murders; last June, U.S. Surgeon General Vivek Murthy declared gun violence a public-health crisis. These initiatives may be well-intentioned, but they ignore a hard truth. Police departments play a critical role in controlling violent crime and should be part of the public-health approach. Advocates of such an approach to crime tend to be reluctant to engage the

I think we can all agree that the Democratic Party is in deep trouble. Whatever poll you look at, the results are the same: approval for the Party is in the mid-to-high 20s, with ordinary voters disgusted by their antics and their bizarre priorities and values. Admittedly, many Democratic Party elected officials are genuinely ideologically captured--cultural or even economic Marxists who believe that the West needs to be destroyed, that children need to be sterilized and mutilated, and that the primary role of government is putting dollars into the pockets of Leftist lunatics. But at least a plurality, and likely a majority of

The White House said Russia and Ukraine have both agreed to "eliminate the use of force" in the Black Sea following talks in Saudi Arabia, a sign of progress toward the war-ending peace deal that U.S. President Donald Trump is seeking to secure. In two separate statements on the outcomes of the talks between the sides, the White House said Moscow and Kyiv had "agreed to ensure safe navigation, eliminate the use of force, and prevent the use of commercial vessels for military purposes in the Black Sea." Moreover, the United States "will help restore Russia's access to the world market for agricultural and fertilizer exports, lower

In February, Vice President J.D. Vance surprised many at the Munich Security Conference by raising concerns about the erosion of democratic values among our allies. He explicitly stated, “In Britain and across Europe, free speech, I fear, is in retreat.” This caused no small amount of consternation on both sides of the Atlantic, but it clearly needed to be said. Even as American voters decisively returned free speech advocates to the Presidency, Senate and House of Representatives — the European Parliament passed and the EU is expeditiously implementing troubling censorship laws such as the Digital Services Act (DSA).

As of March 15, at least 46 federal court decisions involving Donald Trump's agenda or Elon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) have at least temporarily paused some of these initiatives. There's a logjam of cases making their way from lower courts to the Supreme Court, where the fate of most of those initiatives will be decided. Trump knew that federal courts, with few exceptions, would oppose him. Most of the judges were appointed by Joe Biden and Barack Obama, and the cases have been filed in left-friendly districts like Boston, Maryland, Seattle, and Washington, D.C. More than 160 lawsuits have been filed,

If you have had difficulty finding some reason to support the Democratic Party and its increasingly bizarre policy positions, you are not alone. Two national polls released on Sunday reveal that the party’s favorability ratings have plunged to catastrophic lows. According to a new NBC News survey, just 27 percent of registered voters hold a positive view of the Democratic Party — its lowest rating since 1990. Likewise, a new CNN poll indicates that only 29 percent of U.S. adults regard the party favorably — a low not seen since 1992. These polls confirm an equally ominous Quinnipiac survey conducted last month.

A group of Republican senators voted along with Democrats on Wednesday for a resolution to undo President Trump’s 25 percent tariffs on Canadian imports, dealing an embarrassing blow to Trump. The resolution expresses the sense of the Senate and doesn’t have the force of law, but its 51-48 passage is unwelcome news for the president on the very day he announced a host of new tariffs. Four Republicans — Sens. Rand Paul (Ky.), Susan Collins (Maine), Lisa Murkowski (Alaska) and Mitch McConnell (Ky.) — voted for the measure.
