President Joe Biden‘s administration just agreed to a five-year extension to the science and technology sharing agreement with China. Established by President Jimmy Carter, the agreement has attracted increasing scrutiny in recent years because of China’s endemic use of U.S. scientific knowledge to bolster its military and intelligence services.Biden has made a bad decision by extending this agreement. The main problem here is that China views its access to U.S. science and technology through the fixed prism of one key interest:

Cannot "handcuff" any future president. If Trump want to change it, he changes it. It is an "agreement" not a treaty, NOT passed by the Senate. Just another piece of paper to be changed.

Remember that photo from a couple of weeks ago, Trump and the HairSniffer sitting in a couple of chairs in front of a nice fire, both of them smiling? The Sniffer was smiling because he knew that, even as they sat there, his evil minions were working at breakneck speed to do everything in their power to lay as many traps as they could for President Trump, and hamstring him as much as possible. People said that Biden was "as Mean as a Snake". Believe it.

Trump attorneys claim evidence of ‘grave

President-elect Trump’s attorneys have accused a member of the New York jury that convicted him of wrongdoing, seeking to overturn the historic guilty verdict. In a letter to Judge Juan Merchan unsealed Tuesday, Trump attorneys Todd Blanche and Emil Bove claimed the legal team has “evidence of grave juror misconduct during the trial.” “The jury in this case was not anywhere near fair and impartial,” they alleged. But prosecutors with the Manhattan district attorney’s office called the allegations “untested” and “unsworn,” casting the claim as an effort to undermine public confidence in the case.

Tech mogul Elon Musk continued his tirade against the newly unveiled end-of-year funding deal Wednesday, calling for any lawmaker who supports the continuing resolution to be voted out of office. “Any member of the House or Senate who votes for this outrageous spending bill deserves to be voted out in 2 years!” Musk wrote in a post on his social platform X. “Please call your elected representatives right away to tell them how you feel!” he added in a separate post. “They are trying to get this passed today while no one is paying attention.” Musk also called for a moratorium on all legislation until President-elect Trump takes office.

The US central bank has cut interest rates for a third time, despite concerns that the move will deliver a boost to the economy that risks re-igniting price inflation. The decision was expected, setting the Federal Reserve's key lending rate in a target range of 4.25% to 4.5%. That is down a full percentage point since September, when the bank started lowering borrowing costs, citing progress stabilising prices and a desire to head off economic weakening. Reports since then indicate the job market has been more resilient than expected while price rises have continued to bubble.

President-elect Donald Trump’s most striking characteristics today are clarity, confidence, and calm. This is extraordinary in a man renowned for chaos, confusion, and the thin-skinned hurling of demeaning insults. But it is a truth that needs to be acknowledged and accounted for to understand what we are witnessing as Trump prepares to resume the presidency. His press conference at Mar-a-Lago on Dec. 16 revealed a man almost preternaturally at ease with himself, his mission, his domestic support, and his acceptance abroad. His tone was measured, even somewhat humble, despite some bragging. When he dismissed questions, as he justifiably did once or twice, it was not done angrily

The Supreme Court has agreed to consider TikTok’s case against a law that would ban the app in the U.S. unless the platform’s Chinese parent company agrees to sell it. TikTok asked the Supreme Court to step in after a federal appeals court upheld the law earlier this month. The Court agreed to hear oral arguments on January 10, nine days before the Protecting Americans from Foreign Adversary Controlled Applications Act is set to take effect. In the meantime, the Court did not provisionally block the law.

In 2016, a scandal surrounding Hillary Clinton's use of a private email server during her tenure as secretary of state dogged her campaign. The sending and receiving of classified and top-secret information on the server, which didn’t meet government security protocols, left sensitive information vulnerable to being hacked by foreign enemies. Apparently, she wasn’t the only one in the Obama administration trying to get around disclosure requirements. According to a report from Just the News, “New email records released by the National Archives show then-Vice President Joe Biden was briefed about sensitive foreign policy matters by then-advisor Antony Blinken on his private email account

This is one of the most striking facts I have come across in a long time: US companies now account for 65% of the world’s total market capitalization. Via Stephen Moore’s Unleash Prosperity Hotline: No wonder all the traders on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange broke out in a “USA, USA, USA” chant when Trump visited last week. The HOTLINE has frequently reported on the rising global dominance of American stocks. The end of November marked a new milestone: US equities now represent over 65% of global market capitalization. Japan is number two at just 5.5%. China’s companies are about one-twentieth as valuable as U.S. firms.
