Los Angelenos tired of increased crime and rampant homelessness overwhelmingly voted out soft-on-crime, far-left district attorney George Gascón on Tuesday in favor of Nathan Hochman, a prosecutor with a more moderate approach. Hochman, a former federal prosecutor and a Republican-turned-independent, won the race with 61.5 percent of the vote to Gascón’s 38.5 percent, according to Los Angeles County Registrar vote totals as of Wednesday morning. The Associated Press called the race for Hochman early Wednesday. Gascón’s defeat is the latest in a string of losses for Golden State Democrats

Perhaps Mr. Gascon will now have PLENTY of free time to visit Lyle and Eric Menendez in jail now? PS George Clooney, not to mention Rosie O’Donnell, must be SO bummed out that Mr. Gascon went down in defeat.

The Supreme Court issued a ruling blocking an order from a federal judge that required the Trump administration to pay full Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits for November. The decision from the Supreme Court came after the Trump administration requested that U.S. District Judge John McConnell’s order that the administration dish out full SNAP benefits by Friday be blocked, according to the Associated Press. Per the outlet: A judge had given the Republican administration until Friday to make the payments through the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program. But

There were two interconnected stories concerning Condé Nast publishing this week, and many of the problems with our contemporary media are at the center of it all. It was another case of an outlet facing constriction, and it led to another example of the new class of journalists infecting the industry with activist, near anti-social mindsets in the workplace. To start, if you missed the melodrama, the announcement was made earlier this week that the hyper-leftist source Teen Vogue was being diluted, with much of its editorial team being let go, and any lingering staff and content would be folded into the parent publication. Over the years,

The Trump Administration is unmasking Antifa. While leaders of blue sanctuary states plot to pull the masks off ICE and Border Patrol agents, even as death threats against them have gone up by 8,000%, the Trump Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is imposing new rules on Antifa and other violent protesters. The net effect would rip off Antifa's masks and Teletubby costumes on or near federal property. The violent protesters who have been amassing outside the ICE headquarters in Portland since June were reportedly notified of the nationwide rules that forbid them from hiding their identities while on or near federal facilities like the ICE property.

Well, that was a depressing election day, wasn’t it? The big three (plus two) 2025 elections have all been tabulated, and the Democrats won bigly. New Jersey Governor In New Jersey, the Democrats won a yuge race for governor. Democrat Rep. Mikie Sherrill (NJ-11), despite being a terrible candidate according to normal candidate metrics, beat Republican Jack Ciattarelli 56.3 percent to 43.2 percent. My prediction was totally off here, as I assumed that the Republican nominee would win a narrow majority or plurality. In this race, Democrats broke a historical trend going back to 1961,

Something strange happened in New Jersey on election night, and the numbers just don't add up. Republican Jack Ciattarelli lost the gubernatorial race to Democratic Representative Mikie Sherrill by a stunning 56% to 43% margin, a blowout that left pollsters scratching their heads and conservatives asking hard questions about what really went down in the Garden State. This was supposed to be a competitive race. Trump only lost the state by six points a year prior, and, if you were following this race, you know that Ciattarelli had momentum heading into Election Day, picking up endorsements from local Democrats and labor unions along the way. This was the only gubernatorial contest

Zohran Mamdani, a lunatic-fringe leftist, won election as mayor of New York by addressing the cost of living and making Hugo Chavez-like promises of free goodies for all. The latter will be a disaster, but the fact that the Trump administration officials are now focusing on the cost of living, too, suggests that all may not be a "golden age" as the administration has been promoting. Get a load of J.D. Democrats have had a pretty satisfying week, and for good reason. Republicans lost across the board on Tuesday, and didn't just lose but got thumped. While these losses all took place in blue states -- except some local races in Pennsylvania and Georgia, which are still concerning -- it's the scope of the losses that looks grim for the GOP. My pal Cam Edwards pushed back passionately in our VIP Gold chat yesterday at Republicans offering excuses for losses in Virginia especially, where a dozen state legislative seats flipped to Democrats, and warns that the GOP

What’s happening in New York right now has a lot of Americans on edge, and rightfully so. A massive group of Muslims gathered and publicly claimed the city for Islam. People who watched it unfold aren’t being “bigots” for feeling uneasy. They’re watching their country’s biggest city slip further from the culture that built it, just days after electing a Marxist mayor. As Scott Jennings says, good luck, New York… A mayor who believes criminals are the “real victims” and police are the oppressors. This issue is about assimilation, or the lack of it. Ford is considering scrapping the electric version of its F-150 pickup — once billed as the future of American trucks — after racking up billions in losses and watching demand collapse. Executives are in active talks about axing the money-losing F-150 Lightning altogether, sources told the Wall Street Journal, in what could become the first major casualty of America’s faltering electric vehicle revolution. The Lightning, launched with fanfare in 2021 and hailed by CEO Jim Farley as a ‘smartphone that can tow,’ was supposed to mark a new era for Ford. President Joe Biden even took one for a spin, calling it ‘quick as hell.’ But the hype faded fast.

There it was this morning, plain as day. It was a screenshot of a woman going off about how her food stamps were cut off, the $1,000 per month she and her family supposedly get from the government, juxtaposed against her being called out by someone else for hair extensions, expensive trips to the nail salon, and tattoos. In short, she wastes money on unnecessary things and then demands money from the government to support herself. She's squandering money on luxuries while relying on the taxpayers to fund her groceries for anywhere between four and seven people in her household. And worse, there's no sense of shame among many of these people.

With the federal shutdown into its second month, left-wing corporate media have invested no little energy in bemoaning the effect of the now unprecedentedly long shutdown on more than 670,000 furloughed federal employees, and the more than 730,000 others working without pay. CNN last month reported on struggling federal workers whose emergency funds had evaporated, while the Associated Press reported: “Federal workers endure financial strain and fear layoffs as the government shutdown drags on.” An Oct. 27 commentary on MSNBC blamed President Trump and House Republicans for “abandoning federal workers who have now missed two paychecks.”

Germany's grand “Muslim Miracle” was supposed to save the country’s future. Instead, it broke it into a million pieces. About ten years ago, German leaders sold their citizens on a utopian plan: import millions of young Muslims to flood the workforce, rescue a collapsing pension system, and secure the nation’s prosperity for generations. The theory sounded far-fetched and absurd, but Germans bought into it. However, the reality was a total disaster. Fast-forward to today, and Germany is now raising its retirement age to 70. The German people were lied to. The plan to rebuild the workforce through mass immigration didn’t just fail; it cratered. It didn’t revive the economy

The White House has asked a federal appeals court to issue an emergency block, after a federal judge ruled on Thursday that the administration would have to pay full Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP) payments in full amid the longest government shutdown in United States history. Judge Jack McConnell of the U.S. District Court in Rhode Island rejected the Trump administration’s request to pay only 65 percent of SNAP benefits this month. The U.S. Department of Agriculture has a $5 billion contingency fund for emergencies like the Schumer Shutdown, but that amount falls short of the $8.5 to $9 billion needed to fully fund monthly SNAP payments.
