How GOP can beat Kamala Harris

Original Article

It’s the Trump policy agenda, stupid. That’s how to beat Vice President Kamala Harris — with policy arguments, not gratuitous personal attacks. Over 90% of voters have made up their minds. The 2024 presidential election will be determined in a handful of battleground states by a few hundred thousand votes, and Ms. Harris’ best chance of winning will be to consolidate Democratic women, successfully woo independent women and peel off a fraction of Republican women. Republican politicians, TV commentators and radio talk show hosts who play the Willie Brown card ridicule the Harris cackle or demean Ms. Harris as a diversity, equity and inclusion hire, which will only advance her strategy.

I agree. Insults, even tho I enjoy a little well-deserved mockery as much as the next person, are just red meat to the base, and they are already all-in. What do you gain? That cannot be your primary strategy or message. If you want to get others on board, you have to sell your vision of the future, and that message can resonate with normal people who still live under the mistaken impression that the Democrats are the party who cares. They’re not. Obviously. Share that message.

When Nathaniel Hawthorne wrote the classic Scarlet Letter in 1850, the scandal was not that the unwed Hester Prynne bore a child, it was that the prudish townspeople shunned her with the letter "A." If Republicans enjoy acting like Puritans now, we will live with a punishing backlash that will live in history.

We need Steve Bannon back from jail (political imprisonment and election interference by the dirty DOJ). Bannon should tell Trump to just show that Reagan ad we saw last night, it was fantastic. No more personal attacks on Cammy - too easy a target - but focus on the economy.

At this point WHO CARES if the GOP can do ANYTHING?! They have been and continue to be ruled by the Country Club Limp Wristed Lily White Bushie/Clinton/Obama Elites who go out of their way to lose a competition and then hector those of us in the "lower" eschelons about our lack of [financial] support. They let Mitch McConnell soft pedal his way through the power he was given and looked the other way when China made their way into their crowd. Id say what I really think about them right now but I will get banned from Lcom. Suffice it to say, it's Trump or nothing. Apparently Cheney/McConnell and all the other neo-cons who are still trying to coast on their FREE REPUBLIC DAYS want "nothing." Lets Go Brandon to you too!

A chilling letter this week from Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel is a reminder that Americans cannot forget about the importance of the judiciary in upholding free speech and our other constitutional freedoms. On Tuesday – ironically, the day Michiganders went to the primary polls to participate in our constitutional right to vote – Nessel issued a “cease-and-desist letter” against a citizen whom the letter claimed was violating a state law against “misleading or false information” about “polling locations.” The recipient of the letter, Kerry Lynn Elieff, was threatened with “criminal prosecutions” if she did not follow the order. What raises the biggest red flags is that Nessel’s letter doesn’t ever state

In reality, he fled, abandoning his National Guard unit before it deployed to Iraq.

Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH) is quickly finding his footing as a top messenger for former President Donald Trump’s 2024 campaign. Vance received high marks for his solo press conference in Detroit and remarks to reporters as he approached Vice President Kamala Harris’s plane at the airport in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. “Extremely solid extemporaneous political IQ here,” Republican strategist Josh Holmes, a former adviser to Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), wrote on the social media website X. “Vance has barrel of the bat swings going here.”

Surely you’ve noticed the “folksy demeanor” and “folksy manner” and “folksy appeal” and “folksy mannerisms” of this “folksy former soldier?” If you somehow missed it, the “folksy governor of Minnesota” exudes a “folksy … informal vibe” and “folksy relatability.” But don’t forget his “folksy rebukes” and “folksy plain-spoken and sharp-tongued approach,” either. Kamala Harris’ vice presidential pick is a dedicated cultural and economic leftist who happens to inhabit the body of an average middle-aged bowling team drinking buddy.

After a tumultuous and nearly life-ending July, Donald Trump narrowly retains his lead in the polls. Business leaders would be wise to prepare for a second Trump administration. As someone detailed to serve in the White House during my time in the Marine Corps, I know firsthand what national security policy means to President Trump. The 2017 National Security Strategy, Trump’s first-term policies, and his words in and out of office are the best indicators of what a second Trump administration agenda would entail. This amounts to a more expansive view of national security, one that stresses U.S. economic and technological primacy. Great power competition with China would dominate.

Kamala Harris’ slogan in her disastrous 2019 presidential bid was “For the People.” Her rapid, ruthless installation as the Democrats’ presidential nominee shows that slogan no longer captures what she or her party are about. Harris’ Democrats are America’s elite party, pure and simple. And like elites everywhere, they will fight without quarter to maintain the power and privilege they have spent a lifetime to acquire — as President Biden just learned to his detriment.

On Monday, President Biden proposed two reforms to the Supreme Court—term limits for justices and a binding ethics code—along with a constitutional amendment to its recent presidential-immunity decision. Making his case in a Washington Post op-ed, the president claimed broad support and specifically thanked “the bipartisan Presidential Commission on the [SCOTUS] for its insightful analysis, which informed some of these proposals.” But there’s a problem with Biden trying to use the commission to give his proposals legitimacy. Adam White, who served as a member of that commission, tells The Free Press that “nothing in our report actually recommended anything” that the president is now proposing.

The good news for the Trump campaign is that the sure Democratic nominee Kamala Harris is a lifelong California hard leftist at a time when the state is emblematic of progressive nihilism. Her extremist advocacies as a San Francisco county and city attorney, state Attorney General, and senator are on record. And they are consistent with what has virtually destroyed the state. [Snip] However, the bad news for Trump is that there are only roughly 90 days left to expose Harris’s extremist record. And like cognitively challenged Joe Biden in 2020, her handlers will not allow her to speak extemporaneously or to give interviews to real journalists.

This decision raises serious concerns about national security and the integrity of American values, given Walz’s radical policies and extensive ties to Communist China. Senior reporter Paul Sperry from RealClear Investigations recently uncovered a disturbing pattern in Walz’s relationship with China. According to investigative journalist Paul Sperry on X, Walz traveled to China annually from 1996 until at least 2003. His travels were not merely for tourism; he was granted a special work visa by the Chinese government, which raises questions about his loyalties and motivations.
