President Biden swiftly left the East Room of the White House on Wednesday following the Medal of Honor ceremony, ignoring questions about his health. The embattled 81-year-old commander-in-chief has faced mounting pressure to withdraw his bid for reelection following a disastrous debate performance last week. After bestowing the Medal of Honor to two Union soldiers who fought during the Civil War at the ceremony, he quickly headed for the exit while dodging questions.

Would you like to learn the true back story as to why the Democrats picked those two particular Union Soldiers who were executed by the Confederate Army during the US Civil War to receive the Medal of Honor over a hundred and fifty years after they were killed? As since the Civil War there have been many thousands of US military members who have been executed by enemies all the way up to this modern era?

What in the world possesses people to go back 150 years to decide to issue a pair of MoHs??? I don't know anything about these men, but good grief, they are long dead, their sons and daughters are probably also long dead. Why now? Is this just an invented "Joe event" showing how great a guy he is and "supporting the troops".....of 150 year ago? Seems contrived and faked up to me.

The Civil War incident is known as the Great Train robbery which made into a movie starring Buster Keaton and another movie by Disney starring Fess Parker. The leader of the Union raid was James Andrews. I used to drive on Piedmont Avenue in Atlanta on which there is a small historical marker saying on this spot in 1862 James Andrews was hung. Train theft was frowned on.

There are a few things a struggling POTUS can do to boost his poll numbers, and one of them is to hand out military awards, in other words, always keep an award waiting in the wings, and never too far from reach.

A AP headline said that the two Civil War soldiers were awarded the Medal of Honor for having taken part in a “daring mission” with a small raiding unit during the US Civil War, during which they were captured by Confederate soldiers and were executed by hanging. This award yesterday sets a precedent for awarding the Medal of Honor, which before these awards were made in the modern era based upon the individual actions of military members that were beyond the call of duty. No Medals of Honor have been issued in this century for unit actions like raiding actions behind enemy lines. The D-Day invasion in Normandy, France in June 1944 was a “daring mission” by any account, and the Army Rangers who climbed the cliffs on D-Day to silence Nazi artillery guns were not as a unit awarded the Medal of Honor. In such unit actions the units involved have instead been granted Presidential Unit Citations. So since Biden is a outright 101% partisan political career DC liberal Democrat politician you can safely bet your hat that there is a big politically based back story behind Biden awarding those two Medals of Honor to two soldiers for a said to be unit action in the Civil War that took place over one hundred and fifty years ago.

It was definitely a contrived event. Staff members have been pouring over history books to dig up something they could use for such. Anyone but an idiot can see right through it. Someone on TV commented on what poor taste to use a decisive thing like the Civil War.

Larry Sabato, the Trump-hating pollster who is known for his campaign ‘crystal ball,’ said on CNN earlier today that the race between Biden and Trump is no longer close and that the poll numbers he is seeing are ‘bad’ for Biden. This interview happened before the Stephanopoulos interview (which went terribly) and Sabato conceded that one good interview is not going to save Biden or his campaign. The reason these comments should really disturb Democrats is because if there was any kind of silver lining to include here, any single ray of sunshine, Sabato would have pointed it out, but there is no good news for Democrats.

Biden, 81, would repeatedly respond to questions in a raspy, weary voice, often losing track mid-sentence and at times ignoring questions in an attempt to make occasionally outlandish claims about his record. The president at one point told George Stephanopoulos that 'we used to have 40 percent of computer chips. We invented the chip, the little chip, the computer chip. Longtime Democrats are expressing frustration and dissatisfaction with President Joe Biden as he faces mounting pressure to drop out of the 2024 race. After Biden’s not-so-shocking debate performance, some Democrats are surprised to find that the 81-year-old’s cognitive health might not be up as up to par as they thought. A Los Angeles Times report pointed out that even in the “most Biden-loving” parts of the Democrat state, people are concerned that the president doesn’t have what it takes to win the election against former President Donald Trump. Many residents of the liberal city told the outlet that after watching the debate, the country would be in trouble if Biden

While Biden did not make any flubs that would force him out of the race, he still came across as old, feeble and out of touch with the reality of the election, meaning that he is just as weak a candidate as he was yesterday and he is not dropping out. Democrats are stuck with him. After the interview was over, Stephanopoulos went to his fellow ABC News pundits for comment. The looks on their faces said it all. Look at this.
