We seem to be staggering towards the abyss. As in a Roger Corman horror movie, ghostly voices can be heard prophesying that the end is near: we must tumble in. The signs of doom are everywhere, but since punishment for our sins is the point of the exercise, we’ll have to take our medicine and endure a whole lot of tribulations before the final fall.
Donald Trump is the beast of this particular apocalypse. His evil number isn’t 666 but 270 in the Electoral College. Although he’s been virtually tied with President Biden in the opinion polls, those who hate him most feel certain he will regain

Joe Biden got bulldozed by Donald Trump in the first debate. We all saw it happen in real-time. And the polling after this spectacle will be brutal for the Biden camp. As we start the new week, 72 percent think Biden doesn’t have the mental capability to serve as president; 86 percent thought he was too old to run for a second term last winter. Even reporters wonder how one can imagine securing another term when three-fourths of the country thinks you’re too brain-fried to run the country.

Constitutional scholar Jonathan Turley opined at the Hill saying that Friday’s Supreme Court decision holding that the most severe law cited in January 6 prosecutions does not apply to riots or protests effectively means that the oft-repeated accusations of “insurrection” have been downgraded to mere trespassing.
As Breitbart News reported this past Friday, the Supreme Court decided in Fischer vs. U.S. that the “Department of Justice had taken too broad a view of [18 U.S.C.] 1512(c)(2), a law that prohibits destruction of evidence but was not intended for protests.”

Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) recently shared a video that shows CNN’s Dana Bash giving hand signals during the Trump-Biden debate.
In a post on X, Gaetz shared the video and wrote, “Dana Bash, what are you doing?”
In the video, Bash, who moderated the debate, can be seen pointing to her right in the direction of Joe Biden.
Many users on X, speculated that Bash’s move was to alert Biden that it was his turn to speak.
WATCH: (X's Video's) Before the debate, many conservatives believed CNN would be lopsided during the debate, but Fox News’ Sean Hannity gave credit to Dana Bash and Jake Tapper for being “fair.”

Projection is blaming someone else for your own bad behavior.
We saw a classic case of projection in Thursday’s presidential debate, when President Biden — who is overseeing annual budget deficits of $2 trillion — asserted that his predecessor, Donald Trump, added more to the federal debt than anyone else.
It’s part of the latest leftist argument: that if Trump wins the election, he will run deficits twice as large as Biden would.
Debate moderator Jake Tapper joined the chorus of federal finance falsehoods when he claimed Trump had “approved $8.4 trillion in new debt,” while Biden’s actions will increase the debt by (merely) $4.3 trillion over a decade.

We will undoubtedly ask, in years to come, how the issue of defence played no part in the 2024 General Election.
There was just a momentary spat when the Conservatives boasted that they would increase defence spending from its current level of 2.3 per cent to 2.5 per cent of GDP ‘by 2030’, while Labour said they would reach 2.5 per cent ‘when conditions allow’.
The latter is a meaningless statement, but the Conservatives’ claim is hardly a triumph of resolve.
And it is extraordinary that the greatly increased likelihood of Donald Trump being (re)elected President, following the cruelly public exposure of Joe Biden’s incapacity in their so-called debate last week,

Joe Biden’s family is encouraging him to stay in the presidential race, according to The New York Times.
Hunter Biden was the strongest voice encouraging Joe Biden to resist pressure to drop out.
On Saturday NBC News reported Joe Biden humiliated and devoid of confidence after Thursday night’s debate.
It was reported that Joe Biden would be discussing the future of his campaign with his family at Camp David on Sunday amid calls for him to drop out of the 2024 race.

Joe Biden’s Thursday night debate performance was unspinnable. The only way to cope is to pretend it didn’t happen. The debate was on CNN, which was friendly territory for Democrats, with debate rules the Biden team thought would benefit them. Instead, it blew up in their faces, with Joe Biden being kicked in his dentures for 90 minutes in a national political slaughter where Trump didn’t need to do much heavy lifting. That’s one of the most damning aspects—all Trump had to do was not bully Biden and deliver his lines without entering a brain fog. The former president did that, but Biden failed miserably.

Democrats are jailing the most important MAGA voice in America.
On Monday, Steve Bannon is being forced to report to prison for four months only to be released in November, days before the election.
Bannon’s crime was refusing to testify before the illegitimate Pelosi Jan. 6 Committee. This is the same crime that Eric Holder committed and numerous Democrats since then.
The Attorney General committed a similar crime when he refused to turn over Joe Biden’s video deposition in his son Hunter’s criminal case.

Several U.S. military bases in European countries such as Germany and Italy were placed on an increased security alert over the weekend.

After Joe Biden's horrendous debate performance, current and former aides are saying the quiet part out loud and revealing what the President is like behind the scenes.
The White House and campaign blame a 'cold' for Biden's low and, at times, hard-to-understand speaking voice. Others say this is what the President is like on a day-to-day basis now.
Former White House deputy director of photography Chandler West wrote in an Instagram story: 'It's time for Joe to go.' I know many of these people and how the White House operates,' West added. 'They will say he has a 'cold' or just experienced a 'bad night,' but for weeks and months, in private,

Democratic Party leaders desperately pleaded with rank and file committee members to not abandon President Joe Biden despite his train wreck debate performance.
During a secret call after the CNN debate in Atlanta on Thursday, DNC Chairman Jaime Harrison and Biden's campaign manager Julie Chavez Rodriguez tried to quell concerns over the President's viability as their 2024 candidate.
But those on the call claim leaders are gaslighting them and asking them to ignore obvious signs of mental decline. They believe that Biden, 81, might not be the best one for the job anymore.
