Several weeks ago, I flew to Texas to visit my friend Mollie, who had left California in 2022. Whenever I told someone I was going to Texas, their first question was, “Are you moving out of California?”
How different from when I moved to California in 1977…
“I’m so jealous!” That was the reaction of family and friends when my husband and I announced that, after one year of marriage, we were leaving New York. It was a difficult decision because I was close to my parents, particularly my mother. For us, the primary reason was the weather. We did not enjoy humid summers or frozen winters and wanted to move

Former President Donald Trump is putting American workers first— unlike the incumbent leader in the White House now.
Trump discussed the proposal of eliminating taxes on servers' tips in his pitch for a new policy position that could inch him closer to victory in November. The former president introduced the idea during a rally in Nevada over the weekend where many Americans work at hotels, restaurants, and in the entertainment business and rely on tips to make ends meet.
“This is the first time I've said this and for those hotel workers and people that get tips, you're going to be very happy, because when I get to office,

Joe Biden lost his mind and snapped at a TikTok star and independent journalist during a White House meeting with social media “influencers)”
While the meeting occurred in late April, the Daily Mail brought it to the public’s attention today.
in a video, Jonathan M. Katz, the TikToker in question, starts recording Biden and asked him two questions about the Israel-Hamas War.
Katz first asks whether Biden stood by a statement he had made days earlier, in which he criticized pto-Hamas protests and implied they were anti-semitic. Biden ignored the question.

The U.S. House of Representatives has recently passed an amendment as part of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2025.
The amendment H.R. 8070 will automatically register all draft-age male U.S. residents with the Selective Service System for a possible military draft, based on information from other Federal databases.
This new system of automatic draft registration would replace the existing system, in place since 1980, in which young men have the freedom to decide whether or not to sign up for the draft.
According to People’s World, the automatic draft registration proposal was initiated by the Selective Service System (SSS) as part of its annual budget request to Congress.

The mental acuity of the joke that currently occupies the Bully Pulpit arose in February, when special counsel Robert Hur released his report concerning Joe Biden’s handling of classified documents. Hur’s investigation found that Biden had, on numerous occasions, illegally mishandled classified documents. Furthermore, “during his [Biden’s] interview with Hur, the special counsel wrote that the president was confused about the timeline of events and was unable to ascertain questions about his time as vice president.”
It continued in March, with Brit Hume saying, “I was saying back when it was not at all fashionable to say it, that he [Biden] is senile.

The Democratic Party is doomed after recent polls found that not only are voters losing hope in President Joe Biden, but Vice President Kamala Harris’s popularity is also on the chopping block. A Politico-Morning Consult poll found that Harris has a net disapproval rating of 52-42 percent with the majority doubting that she would even have a chance to win the presidency if she were the Democratic nominee.
Just three in five Democrat voters said they would vote for the vice president, with only 25 percent of independent voters saying they would cast their ballot for her.

Washington— Speaker Mike Johnson said Friday that the House will go to court to enforce the subpoena against Attorney General Merrick Garland for access to President Joe Biden’s special counsel audio interview, hours after the Justice Department refused to prosecute Republicans’ contempt of Congress charge.
“It is sadly predictable that the Biden Administration’s Justice Department will not prosecute Garland for defying congressional subpoenas even though the department aggressively prosecuted Steve Bannon and Peter Navarro for the same thing,” Johnson said in a statement. “This is yet another example of the two-tiered system of justice brought to us by the Biden Administration.”

Former President Donald Trump turned 78 on Friday, and the establishment media are already hyping his age, claiming he is showing signs of aging, like President Joe Biden, who turned 81 in November.
Matthew Foster, a professorial lecturer at American University, told Agence France-Presse (AFP) that Trump has a “drunken uncle vibe.” Foster’s comment comes as several polls have shown that voters are concerned about Biden’s age. “He’s giving off the old, drunken uncle vibe at times when he is giving these speeches, and this might be a sign of age, that you become less able to control all of your impulses,” Foster told the outlet.

The Supreme Court ruled in a 5-4 opinion against three illegal aliens fighting their deportation orders from the United States, claiming they did not receive proper notice of their removal hearings in federal immigration court.
When illegal aliens Esmelis Campos-Chaves, Varinder Singh, and Raul Daniel Mendez-Colín failed to appear before federal immigration judges, they were ordered deported in absentia. In each case, the Department of Justice (DOJ) sent initial Notices to Appear (NTA) in immigration court that did not specify the time and place of the hearings.

It's a day ending in Y, so that means that the pro-Hamas agitators who seemingly never have a job to get to, kids to shuttle to/from school, or any type of time or money obligations are busy harassing Americans who are trying to go about their daily business. On Friday, agitators from "If Not Now" chose to trek to the Capitol office of Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rep. Mike Johnson (R-LA). They didn't get a welcome reception, to say the least.
