Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg should never have indicted the so-called hush-money case against former president Donald Trump. And now Judge Juan Merchan should throw the case out, or the jury should acquit Trump, for the simple reason that Bragg has failed to prove the charges.
In 2022, the DA rejected the push for an indictment by some of his subordinates. He revived the prosecution in 2023 only after another ambitious Democrat, Attorney General Letitia James, was lauded by New York progressives for bringing a sprawling, victimless civil-fraud case Bragg had declined to charge criminally — and when it was clear that Trump would run for president in 2024.

There are several things you can always count on from the left. Two of those things involve hatred, of Donald Trump and America, but the other is the fact that they will be totally unaware of any hypocrisy, no matter how obvious on their part about any given topic.
The recent flap over Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito and the various flags flying in front of his homes is yet another example of their being complete and utter frauds. In this case, the best part is that the hypocrisy was recently displayed in a true blue city: For those of you who may not be up to speed, my colleague

The first day of jury deliberations in former President Donald Trump's "hush money" trial in New York ended without a verdict as jurors asked to review several portions of testimony and rehear the judge's instructions in the case.
The 12 New Yorkers who will decide Trump's fate met for nearly five hours after listening to the judge's directions about how they should wade through the sea of complex legal issues that the case presents.
Justice Juan Merchan reminded them of their commitment to impartiality, and implored them to set aside their biases to decide the case on the facts and the law.

Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito is “duty-bound” to reject calls to recuse himself from court cases involving former President Donald Trump and January 6, he said in a letter to his Senate detractors on Wednesday. Alito’s statement came in response to a letter drafted last week by Senators Richard Durbin and (D., Ill.) and Sheldon Whitehouse (D., R.I.) that claimed “two incidents involving the flying of flags created an appearance of impropriety.”
“As I have stated publicly, I had nothing whatsoever to do with the flying of that flag. I was not even aware of the upside- down flag until it was called to my attention,”

Amid world outcry against an Israeli airstrike that took out two Hamas terrorist leaders but also reportedly killed dozens of Palestinian civilians, Israel Defense Forces said Tuesday that the “small munitions” used in the attack simply could not have caused the fire that caused such devastation. They think a Hamas ammunition storage facility may be to blame:
The Israel Defense Forces said Tuesday that a hidden store of weapons may have been the actual cause of a deadly blaze in southern Gaza’s Rafah, and that an airstrike that targeted an adjacent area had used small munitions that would not ignite such a fire on their own.
The military suspects that the munitions

Let's face it, CNN's Jake Tapper is high up there on the list of folks who don't like former President Donald Trump.
But on Tuesday, as the closing arguments were being made in the Manhattan trial of the former president and the case was about to go to the jury, even Tapper and other members of a CNN panel that included legal experts didn't think that the prosecution had proven the so-called "hush money" case against Trump. “It‘s not even about that he didn’t know about the reimbursement, it’s that he didn’t know that the bookkeeper used the drop-down menu to say legal fees, that that was not something

Across the dial, the Regime Media’s network evening newscasts showed mixed interest in covering an embarrassing blow to the Biden administration’s efforts in Gaza: the partial collapse of the temporary pier built at President Biden’s behest, in order to expedite the delivery of relief supplies to the civilian population- known derisively as “Port Biden”. The most through reporting comes via NBC’s Raf Sanchez, who filed this dispatch within his Rafah recap: RAF SANCHEZ: Meanwhile, NBC News has learned the U.S. military has been forced to halt aid deliveries into Gaza by sea, after three officials said bad weather damaged its temporary pier. Israel Defense Forces (IDF) tanks reached the center of the town of Rafah on Tuesday. according to multiple media outlets, indicating that Israel intended to fight outwards toward the periphery rather than closing in from the outside.
The Wall Street Journal reported:
Israeli tanks advanced farther into Rafah on Tuesday, according to witnesses, as the Israeli military said it was expanding operations in the southern Gaza city amid growing international condemnation.
The tanks passed near the Al-Awda mosque, a central Rafah landmark, Palestinians in the city told The Wall Street Journal. The Israeli military didn’t comment

There are two times people make really bad mistakes: When they’re over-confident and when they’re desperate. The Biden administration is not over-confident. Desperation is why it dragged out an over-the-hill, minimally coherent, not-very-bright actor to be its spokesman regarding the show trial that Alvin Bragg and Judge Juan Merchan have staged in Manhattan to try to sideline Trump’s increasingly successful candidacy.
The big headline was that Robert De Niro spoke outside the courthouse where the Trump trial was being held. I’ll have more on that in a minute, but the real news should be that it was the Biden administration that organized De Niro’s appearance, along with the

At a quick glance, it would probably be fairly easy for many of us to conclude that Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and American President Joe Biden have quite a bit in common aside from their age. They are both far to the left on most policy issues and they are not fans of free speech or even free movement when such are being exercised by their political opponents or critics. We've already covered many examples of this when it comes to Joe Biden, but you are likely also aware of Trudeau's treatment of the truckers in the Freedom Convoys, not to mention the vaccine mandates and lockdowns

A wave of Republican incumbents were swept out of the Texas House in Tuesday's primary runoffs, including a handful who opposed school vouchers last fall, handing Gov. Greg Abbott a tentative majority in the lower chamber on his signature issue.
With most ballots counted across the state, six of the eight GOP House members who were forced into overtime appeared to lose their runoffs, continuing a surge of anti-establishment energy that had already led to the ouster of nine House Republicans in the March primary.
The runoffs brought mixed results for Texas' hard right: the House gained a pro-voucher majority — for now — and the 15 GOP incumbents ousted
