Revolution on Russia’s Border in Georgia

You may have heard of the protests in Tbilisi, Georgia recently. The protests are framed around what the State Dept and CIA call “Russian favored” legislation. The Georgia legislation essentially says that domestic lobbyists, NGO’s, entities, groups and individuals who are funded more than 20% by foreign interests need to register as such. Essentially, the USA law we call the Foreign Agent Registration Act (FARA), is what the country of Georgia is enacting in their own political landscape. However, the USA is not happy about the Georgia law to disclose the source of foreign funding

The whole rumor the Maidan Revolution was a CIA manipulation was in large part responsible for Putin, Lavrov, and Shoigu's belief Ukrainians would greet Russian troops with bread and salt. Does anyone really believe Ukraine would resist with this degree of ferocity for over two years if the Maidan Revolution was not a reflection of public will? Ukraine wants to align economically and culturally with the EU, not the Kremlin.

There’s a ton of buzz about the so-called “hush money” trial unfolding in New York City. (snip)This under-explored aspect of the Stormy saga raises a game-changing question: If Stormy’s tale had already hit the newsstands back in 2011 and splashed across Life & Style Magazine, both in print and online, how on earth could she have been “muzzled” later by supposed campaign finance and shady election meddling conspiracies being peddled by Alvin Bragg?

Justice Sonia Sotomayor used Thursday’s Supreme Court hearing of Donald Trump’s presidential immunity claims to further Democrats’ debunked “fake electors” narrative.(snip) “What is plausible about the president insisting and creating a fraudulent slate of electoral candidates?” Sotomayor asked. “Assuming you accept the facts of the complaint on their face, is that plausible that that would be within his right to do?” “Absolutely, your honor,” Sauer argued, citing President Ulysses S. Grant “sending federal troops to Louisiana and Mississippi in 1876 to make sure that the Republican electors got certified in those two cases, which delivered the election to Rutherford B. Hayes.

U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas has asked former President Donald Trump’s lawyers about whether they challenged special counsel Jack Smith’s authority to bring charges against the president. (snip)Justice Thomas asked John Sauer, the attorney who represented Trump in court, “Did you, in this litigation, challenge the appointment of special counsel?” Mr. Smith was appointed to the case by Attorney General Merrick Garland. Mr. Sauer said that Trump attorneys have not raised such concerns “directly” in the current case at the Supreme Court. However, “it points to a very important issue here, because one of [the prosecution’s] arguments is, of course, that we should have this presumption of regularity,” Sauer stated.

The Associated Press (AP) admitted Friday that this week’s indictment of 18 Arizona Republicans is “part of a campaign” to “deter” Republicans from raising challenges and concerns about the integrity of the 2024 election. Democratic Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes indicted 18 individuals, 11 of whom she claims acted illegally when they convened as alternate electors to certify the Arizona election in favor of Donald Trump while challenges to the tight election’s initial results were ongoing. Under the headline “Charges against Trump’s 2020 ‘fake electors’ are expected to deter a repeat this year,” AP’s Nicholas Riccardi wrote the indictment of 18 people “could help shape the landscape of challenges

A major witness in former President Donald Trump’s so-called “hush-money” trial admitted to inconsistencies in his previous testimony and suggested that a related FBI report “could be wrong.” Former National Enquirer publisher David P*cker, who has testified in the case this week, was questioned by Trump attorney Emil Bove about statements he made to federal prosecutors in 2018 that the defense lawyer said were “inconsistent” with the former publisher’s testimony earlier this week. The Trump team pointed out discrepancy between Mr. P*cker’s testimony this week and 2018 FBI interview. This week, the witness testified President Trump thanked him for handling two stories in a 2017 meeting at the Trump Tower.

Conservative states across the country—Florida, Iowa, Louisiana, Tennessee, Georgia, and Oklahoma—are taking border security matters into their own hands, proposing or passing legislation targeting illegal immigration. The Oklahoma legislature just passed a bill designed to prohibit illegal immigrants from entering or living in the state. Biden’s Department of Justice (DOJ) argued Thursday before the Supreme Court that droning American citizens is permissible because Obama’s DOJ said so, whereas questioning election results isn’t OK because the government also says so. The Supreme Court heard arguments on the scope of presidential immunity after special counsel Jack Smith alleged that former President Donald Trump should be tossed in jail for questioning the administration of the 2020 election.

If you have followed law and politics for any length of time, you have probably heard of “speaking indictments.” That’s where the prosecution will write an indictment or court motion with very granular -yet perhaps not pertinent- details of a case against a suspect that highlights a much bigger picture than a singular perspective against the individual defendant.(snip) In the Special Counsel Jack Smith constructed Lawfare case against Donald Trump, what is generally called “the documents case”, involving the raid on Mar-a-Lago, President Trump’s attorney, Christopher Kise, did something similar to a speaking indictment with an extensive court motion on January 16, 2024.

Elite higher education in America -- long unquestioned as globally preeminent -- is facing a perfect storm. Fewer applicants, higher costs, impoverished students, collapsing standards, and increasingly politicized and mediocre faculty reflect a collapse of the university system. The country is waking up to the reality that a bachelor's degree no longer equates with graduates being broadly educated and analytical. Just as often, they are stereotyped as pampered, largely ignorant, and gratuitously opinionated. No wonder polls show a drastic loss of public respect for higher education and, specifically, a growing lack of confidence in the professoriate.

Israel’s enemies are charging the world’s only Jewish nation with committing genocide. This is a lie. Genocide as a word and internationally accepted concept did not exist before 1944. It was specifically created to describe how the Nazis sought to eliminate the entirety of the Jewish population in Europe.(Snip) This narrow definition under international law consists of two principal prerequisites: intent and a specific group’s physical destruction. Currently, there are politically motivated and rhetorically irresponsible charges of genocide leveled at Israel. These disingenuous accusations are a weapon of war that terrorist groups such as Hamas are using to achieve strategic political victory in the struggle for universal information dominance.
