Prosecutors in Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg's office have finally revealed the underlying crime they allege Donald Trump was committing when he allegedly falsified business records. According to Fox News, "New York prosecutor Joshua Steinglass on Tuesday said the other crime was a violation of a New York law called 'conspiracy to promote or prevent election.'" That law, New York Law 17-152, reads: Any two or more persons who conspire to promote or prevent the election of any person to a public office by unlawful means and which conspiracy is acted upon by one or more of the parties thereto, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.

New York laws read like they were written by cartoon characters. Just about everything democrats do during election time is illegal, immoral and dirty, that's the only way they can win because the people suck and their performance in office sucks.

This vague statute could be used to charge just about anyone running for election. Isn't the entire point of running for election to beat your opponent? As long as your actions are legal, you are good. If Bragg really believes this statute were applicable, he needs to immediately charge Hillary, Obama, Biden, and every media outlet in New York with the same thing as Trump. If you want criminal conspiracy to prevent election, it is bragg's fellow Democrats who needs to be in prison.

That's a great point about the " 51 former intelligence officials who lied about the origins of the Hunter Biden laptop story", the whole "Russia ! Russia ! Russia !" scheme, Obama expelling 35 Russian diplomats to kick it all off (just before Trump took office), the FISA court allowing the CIA to use foreign agents to provide evidence for them to spy on Americans, Hillary hiring the law firm for the Steele dossier ... Yeah. Let's talk about a conspiracy to prevent or thwart or an election, or actually overthrow a sitting president.

Politicians and their campaigns always attempt to influence upcoming elections to their future political benefit. The difference is and will be if this Democrat law fare criminal case succeeds, is that while Democrats will be home free, wimpy Republicans will be criminally persecuted by the leftist and progressive Democrat political establishment on into the future.

So....if Trump were guilty of this "crime".....and he is not, it would be a midemeanor, about like jaywalking. $50 fine and get out of here.

Isn't it just funny how they are trying to elevate a "rag" magazine which is found at the checkout counters in supermarkets into some sort of trusted news source? And how many times has the Biden, Clinton or Obama groups contacted the New York Times or Washington Post to "kill" a particular story over the years? I sure hope Trumps attorneys remind the jury that the DA's hired hit man is trying to play them for fools and insulting their intelligence (all you need to do is get 1 to not want to buy into the garbage).

The claim is that this "misdemeanor violation" took place in the NYS "2015/2016 Primary"...in that stories about other primary candidates were "Promoted". Statute of limitations for ALL misdemeanors in NY is 2 years. (It certainly didn't effect Hillary's election outcome in NY she won the state by 2million ballots 59%-36%...as far as the primary, By the time NY rolled around in april only Kasich and Cruz were left in the race..and the week before the Primary Cruz bashed Trump as having "NY Values, not American Values" and NYS support plummeted, cruz received less than 15%, Kascich 24%, Trump nearly 60%) Braggs office has "Bragged" that using their prosecutorial discretion, DA's are banned from prosecuting most misdemeanors, and banned from using "enhancements" as well as banned from "Stacking Charges", even on gang members with multiple arrests while cases are still pending, while under probation/parole, in possession of weapons, and/or multiple thefts if they are under $1000 each. So what is the PENALTY under this law? " 17-166. Penalty. Any person convicted of a misdemeanor under this article shall for a first offense be punished by imprisonment for not more than one year, or by a fine of not less than one hundred dollars nor more than five hundred dollars, or by both such fine and imprisonment" They are spending $MILLIONS to prosecute a "Violation" that the long ago expired under statute of limitations...with a MAX penalty of $500.00. As if ANY article printed or withheld from "The National Enquirer" could/would/Did have ANY effect on ANY NYS election. While ignoring stories fed to and printed by The NYT by the cooperating/colluding/conspiring Hillary campaign, intelligence agencies, and the Obama/Biden justice dept and communications office that BASHED Trump in the same time frame...fake stories bought with Campaign funds...and Taxpayer Dollars.(ALL of Trumps spending was private/personal corporation funds) By the way...NYS Statute of limitations over Criminal Extortion/Blackmail 5 years of the alleged extortion event. Trump/Cohen didn't seek out and suddenly, randomly OFFER payments to Stormy and others...They were DEMANDED by them."Or Else". Timed in such a way as to "Effect an election"

FCC Votes to Reinstate Net Neutrality 6 replies
Posted by Dreadnought 4/25/2024 5:57:45 PM Post Reply
On Thursday, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), by a 3-2 vote, reinstated the Obama-era net neutrality rule. The 3-2 vote along partisan lines is a victory for Democrats, who have pushed for this type of regulation for the last two decades and say it’s necessary for consumer protection, fair competition and national security. The rules, which prevent broadband providers from blocking and throttling consumers’ internet traffic, were repealed in 2017 during the Trump era. The order also reclassifies broadband as a telecom service, as the 2015 rules did, expanding the agency’s authority to regulate internet networks. An earlier version of the rules was struck down by a court in 2014.

The saga of how state-run radio (better known as NPR) continues to fester, despite the best attempts of NPR’s new apparatchick, Katherine Maher, to suggest her previous hostile comments about free speech, her “my trutherism,” and her Democratic partisanship are all “taken out of context.” (Understand that for the contemporary left, “context” is everything, so claiming something anyone says is “taken out of context” is not a denial that they meant what they said. You’re just not choosing the “right” context to understand it properly.) Yesterday the New York Times reported on “Inside the Crisis at NPR,” and it could easily be a premier entry in our currently dormant “Civil War

Washington — The Supreme Court’s conservative majority on Thursday appeared open to recognizing some level of immunity from federal prosecution for former presidents as they weighed a blockbuster dispute that will be critical to the fate of former President Donald Trump’s 2020 election case in Washington, D.C. But the court expressed skepticism toward Trump’s argument that he should be absolutely immune from charges related to conduct that occurred while he was in office. Across nearly three hours of arguments, several members of the court’s six-member conservative bloc signaled that they believed a former president should be shielded from criminal charges for some actions undertaken within the duties

The U.S. fertility rate hit a new record-low last year, continuing a persistent trend that will have significant consequences for American society. The total fertility rate dropped to 1.62 births per woman last year, a 2 percent decline from the year before, according to newly released data from the Centers for Disease Control. The figure is below replacement level, meaning Americans are not having enough children to replace themselves, a development with major implications for the American economy. The total fertility rate recorded by the CDC is the lowest since the U.S. government began tracking it nearly a century ago. It reflects a trend visible across the developed

A giant floating pier is due to be completed in the next two weeks in the eastern Mediterranean from where it will be pushed towards the Gaza shore, but there is growing uncertainty over how useful the US project will be in containing a famine. The New York Court of Appeals on Thursday overturned the sex crimes conviction against Harvey Weinstein, the powerful Hollywood producer whose downfall stood as a symbol of the #MeToo movement. The court, by a 4-3 vote, ordered a new trial. “We conclude that the trial court erroneously admitted testimony of uncharged, alleged prior sexual acts against persons other than the complainants of the underlying crimes because that testimony served no material non-propensity purpose,” the ruling, written by Judge Jenny Rivera, states. “The court compounded that error when it ruled that defendant, who had no criminal history, could be cross examined about those allegations as well as numerous allegations of misconduct

As Jews wake up to the reality that the Democrat party has broken its decades’ long implied promise to protect the Jews from another Holocaust, Joe Biden may be doubling down on an effort to placate the Hamas wing of the Democrat party. According to an Israeli reporter who has highly placed contacts at the Hague, the International Criminal Court (“ICC”) is planning to arrest senior Israeli officials, something it would do only if it had the Biden administration’s permission. Axios has released a new poll showing American attitudes toward illegal immigration and the question of mass deportations. The results are a disaster for Joe Biden and the Democratic Party. The survey, which was done by Harris, found that a full 42 percent of Democrats favor mass deportations as a solution to Biden's self-created border crisis. That is a shocking total. We aren't talking about a polling question regarding reform for asylum rules. On that, you might expect some separation on the left. The day after a county judge dismissed state charges against 140 illegal aliens who caused a riot against National Guard troops, a grand jury indicted the illegal aliens. Essentially, the grand jury overruled the county judge. The illegal aliens are still in jail because they have an ICE retainer against them. That's the federal jurisdiction. A county court-at-law judge found no probable cause on Monday to continue holding 140 illegal aliens at the El Paso County Jail. They were detained on state riot charges.
