Former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark Milley’s fretting former president Donald Trump would commandeer the military for political reasons, warning of a “Reichstag moment,” influenced senior Army leaders to delay deploying the National Guard to quell the Jan. 6 riots, a witness told Congress during a hearing Wednesday. (snip) Milley, then the highest-ranking military officer and adviser to the president, apparently feared Trump was inciting domestic unrest as a pretext to invoke the Insurrection Act and bring out the military to restore order, testimony shows.

So who is going to do anything about the dangerous situation at the US Capitol building that Miley and Pelosi purposely allowed to occur? Especially since the wimpy Congressional Republicans look to be ready to turn over control of the House of Representatives to the leftist and progressive Democrats?

Yes, he was so darned worried Donald Trump was a threat to America, he wrote a strongly worded letter, and then decided not to send it so he could bravely "fight" the dangerous" Donald Trump and "white rage" from the inside. He was eager to help Democrats disparage Donald Trump for sins not committed on January 6 or any other time, but stood by while Joe Biden pulled the rug out from under Afghan soldiers who risked their lives to work with Americans. What kind of military "leader" keeps his mouth shut when an American president suffering from dementia abandons American troops and their allies? Why was he not concerned about the billions of dollars in military equipment left behind, knowing full well it would fall into the hands of radicals? Our soldiers and allies were abandoned by a white guy president and his white guy general, neither of whom felt compelled to do the right thing and protect them until everyone got out.

Who did idiot Milley think that Trump was going to use the National Guard to stage a coup against? Trump was already the President! Was he going to overthrow himself? The National Guard was being called to quell unarmed protestors, not overthrow Congress. Milley should lose his military pension, be reduced in rank, and dragged before Congress to explain his treason like actions.

Miley's an un-hung traitor. There were several things that he did that flouted the chain of command and gave aid and comfort to our enemies, as well. Going behind Trump's back to talk with the Chinese, being only one of them. He was also, I understand, trying to keep the Nuclear Football out of Trump's hands as well. A certified Narcissistic Sociopath is what I think he is. I'd love to see what Trump does to him, when he gets back in office.

Milley deserves to be shot by military firing squad for usurping the role of president / Commander-in-Chief. In our system, no JCS Chairman, or any military commander, is ever entitled to overrule orders from the president - any president. Trump, when faced with Milley's treasonous actions, should have at least done as much as Truman did for McAuthur's insubordination and kicked him to the curb, in MIlley's case, minus his pension.
