Florida has become a solidly red state but the Biden campaign can’t ignore Trump’s massive gains among Latino voters, so this week the Biden campaign did an event to reach out to these voters in Florida. In a move suggesting that they’re not very serious about this, they sent ‘second gentleman’ Doug Emhoff, husband of Vide President Kamala Harris. This choice caused some people to think that Biden has already conceded these voters and the state of Florida. I'm sure that to the geniuses running Turniphead's campaign, the only thing that mattered was how high up the power structure their envoy is. SO...the hubby of Kakamala is embedded near the top, if only by marriage. Makes him more important than any of the Latino types Fabiola lists. And since power is always much more important than race or ethnicity, they actually thought they were scoring a win. LOL Sad trombone indeed.

I am really sick and tired of all these hyphenated Americans or Latinos/Hispanics whatever being catered to because of what country their parents, grandparents, great great grandparents, etc emigrated rom. I am send generation born America hose grandparents came here from Germany. Would either party send a German person to speak to me for my vote? No. either you're an American or you are not. Your heritage - sure be proud of it but if you want to live with one foot in one culture and the other in another - then you need to decide which culture/country. I don't go around over emphasizing a German city or name like too many Hispanics do on news shows including Fox News (hello Rachel Campos-Duffy or Chris Salcedo on his show on Newsmax).

Hundreds of federal, state and local Mexican law enforcement have arrived on the border near El Paso, Texas to prevent a migrant caravan with an estimated 2,000 people from reaching the US. Mexican officials paraded federal immigration agents and other law enforcement officers in front of cameras this week in Juarez, the Mexican city just south of El Paso. The show of force is part of an on-going agreement between President Joe Biden and Mexico's president for Mexico to do its part in securing the border and has been used in January as well.

Cal-Maine Foods, Inc., recognized as the country’s largest producer of fresh eggs, announced on Tuesday that it has temporarily suspended operations at one of its major facilities located in Parmer County, Texas. This drastic measure comes in the wake of a detected outbreak of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI). The outbreak has led to the culling of approximately 1.6 million laying hens and 337,000 pullets. This action represents about 3.6% of Cal-Maine Foods’ total flock as of early March 2024, marking a significant loss for the company and the egg industry as a whole.

Another day, another confused and embarrassing performance from the current White House resident. Greek Independence Day was the occasion on Thursday, with Joe Biden hosting a reception in the East Room. Right on cue, Biden did his faux Forrest Gump routine where he inserts himself into every aspect of every culture. It's fitting that just two days before this speech, the president repeated a tall tale about being raised by the Puerto Rican community.

A bird flu pandemic could be '100 times worse than Covid' and kill up to half of everyone it infects, experts have warned — as the White House says it is 'monitoring' the situation. Speaking at a briefing, virus researchers said the H5N1 strain of bird flu may now be getting 'dangerously close' to triggering a pandemic. Multiple cases of the infection in a variety of mammals, including cows, cats and, more recently, humans, are all raising the risk of the virus mutating to become more transmissible, they said.
