MSNBC host Al Sharpton said Friday on “The ReidOut” that former President Donald Trump doing an advertisement for the “God Bless the USA Bible” was “insulting” to those who believe. [Snip] Sharpton said, “I have never heard him even discuss religion, ... for him to use that as a marketing tool, where the money goes to Donald Trump, not to a cause, not to help the poor, not even to his campaign. To him. Which means he’s really doing this to pay off lawyers, to get out of the porn star situation, defrauding bank situation.”

President Biden has sparked outrage by declaring Easter Sunday will also officially become Transgender Day of Visibility.
The White House doubled up backlash as it also banned religious imagery in submissions from children of military families taking part in the traditional Easter Egg Roll event, as critics branded the moves an 'attack on Christianity.' [snip] As he declared Easter Sunday would also be 'Transgender Day of Visibility', Biden also delivered a scathing attack on Republicans while stressing that 'transgender Americans are part of the fabric of our nation'

HOUSTON, Texas -- AccuWeather released its 2024 hurricane outlook forecast, showing this could be an explosive year. What could be lurking in the Gulf of Mexico this summer has AccuWeather meteorologists raising the alarm. "AccuWeather hurricane experts have serious and growing concerns about what can become a supercharged hurricane season this year," AccuWeather Chief Meteorologist Jonathan Porter said. AccuWeather's hurricane forecast shows there could be as many as 25 named storms, upwards of 12 hurricanes, and as many as seven strong hurricanes. It also predicts that upwards of six hurricanes could directly hit the United States. All of those numbers are

On the Christian calendar, this Sunday is Easter, a revered Holy Day for Christians celebrating the resurrection of their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ when his tomb was found empty, three days after his execution by crucifixion commanded by the Roman Empire. Even in secular society, the day is celebrated with colored eggs and baskets filled with strange plastic grass and bunny-shaped chocolate confections, and the iconic, American candy gems known as jellybeans. Easter Sunday is not only an extremely significant Christian holiday, it is also a family-oriented tradition.

White House spokesperson Karine Jean-Pierre has doubled down after President Joe Biden declared Easter Sunday “Transgender Day of Visibility.”
Jean-Pierre’s statement on X Saturday followed overwhelming backlash to Biden’s animated affirmation of the controversial holiday as the same day as the holiest Christian holiday.
“On Transgender Day of Visibility, the Biden-Harris Administration honors the extraordinary courage and contributions of transgender Americans and reaffirms our Nation’s commitment to forming a more perfect union where all people are treated equally,” Jean-Pierre posted.

BALTIMORE — After a bridge collapse in Baltimore killed six people and shut down an international port, Maryland Gov. Wes Moore has stepped into the national spotlight this week, leading the response to the catastrophe. Moore, a political newcomer before he launched his 2022 campaign for governor, has already been identified as a rising star in the Democratic Party, joining a deep bench of Democratic governors whose names have been floated as potential 2028 presidential contenders. Moore’s allies say the qualities and experience that led him to run for governor are the same ones that could help guide him through

New York Attorney General Letitia James is facing mounting pressure to prosecute comedian Jon Stewart after it was revealed that he overvalued his Manhattan home — the same so-called “offense” for which James is prosecuting former President Donald Trump.
Rep. Mike Collins (R-GA), radio host Andrew Wilkow, and Trump attorney Alina Habba are among those calling for “Tish” to show that no one is above the law.
Jon Stewart was recently found to have overvalued his Tribeca duplex by more than 800 percent when he was selling it back in 2014.

The White House has responded to the backlash from Christians over the “Transgender Day of Visibility” proclamation issued by Joe Biden.
Biden declared March 31 to be a holiday honoring transgender people — but this March 31, of course, is Easter.
“NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOSEPH R. BIDEN JR., President of the United States of America, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim March 31, 2024, as Transgender Day of Visibility,” the White House proclamation declared. “I call upon all Americans to join us in lifting up the lives and voices of transgender people throughout our Nation and

Protesters calling for a ceasefire in Gaza flooded into New York City's most iconic cathedral, breaking up a Saturday-night Easter Mass and throwing the tranquil scene into disarray.
On the evening of March 30, candles illuminated the inside of St. Patrick's Cathedral as observers gathered for the customary Easter Vigil Mass led by Cardinal Timothy Dolan, archbishop of New York.
But the peace quickly devolved into chaos as demonstrators with Extinction Rebellion NYC's Palestinian Solidarity group swarmed into the church.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, U.S. Senator Alex Padilla (D-Calif.), Chair of the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Immigration, Citizenship, and Border Safety, and U.S. Senate Majority Whip Dick Durbin (D-Ill.), Chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee, led 17 Senate Democrats in requesting administrative relief for undocumented immigrants.
As the Biden Administration considers executive actions on the border, the letter outlines recommendations for executive actions to streamline immigration relief for the undocumented population and DACA holders in the United States.
“We urge your Administration to take all available actions to streamline pathways to lawful status for undocumented immigrants, providing certainty to the American businesses, communities, and families who rely on them,” wrote the Senators.

There are few more joyous places for a Christian at Easter than northern Europe's tallest and largest Gothic cathedral in the city of Cologne.[SNIP] Perhaps we should not be surprised. In Britain, Windsor Castle hosted its first Iftar last week, with permission from King Charles, the Supreme Governor of the Church of England. Guests feasted on coconut milk and dates in the grounds before a private tour of the State apartments. Westminster Abbey, meanwhile – a Christian site for over 1,000 years – flew the national flag of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, with the Muslim crescent and star, to mark 'Pakistan Day'.
