Bosses said the stores - two are in California and one in Maryland - were not making enough money. They came after the shuttering two more in California and one in Ohio. Walmart is the latest to announce store closures this year. Dollar Tree is shuttering 1,000, Macy's 150 - a third of its total - and drug store Rite Aid 77. I bet a paycheck that all three stores had high "inventory shrinkage," also known as "shoplifting."

Didn't know they were in the UK... good reporting Daily Mail. Were they closing due to London acid attacks by non-Angle subjects? Or maybe no-go neighborhoods? Have heard that is staring in parts over various Blue - anti-2A states....

#1, you lose. In my area WM closed a store for remodeling and the 'clientele' moved to my neighborhood WM. They like it so well they never returned home. Now we have to put up with pajama-wearing shoppers with mop hairdos.

I've started going to other stores for my groceries. Prices are not that much higher and selection is better. Clientele is a little more civilized too, and they have registers open.

Look at the states where the stores are closing and they all go easy on crime. The losers are the people who need to buy at Walmart because they can afford it.

Wow, snotty responses here. I love Walmart. If I won the billion dollar lottery, the first place I'd go is Walmart. But then I've never had a bad experience there. Always nice people and what I've noticed here are the children - very respectful of this old lady. So if you like paying more for stuff because folks like me are beneath you, fine with me. The worst I was ever treated was a Publix in Gainsville, FL and it's not cheap by any means.

An insidious institutional rot has long afflicted the Republican Party and the broader conservative movement. Historically, this has presented a vexing problem for grassroots activists desperate to change the status quo. Now, after Herculean efforts by players big and small, it appears that the rabble-rousing of the MAGA faithful is finally paying off. New Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Michael Whatley and Vice Chairwoman Lara Trump have brought immediate change to the institution, working with senior Trump campaign advisor Chris LaCivita to streamline this leviathan. Whereas former RNC Chairwoman Ronna Romney-McDaniel did not make the systemic changes needed to support a modern campaign infrastructure, the new team has wasted no time

Over the next year the researchers found hundreds of thousands of records in their state’s voter rolls with irregular data for which they couldn’t identify consistent explanations, no matter who they asked.
