Despotism created the remand stretch in prison while waiting for trial. A de facto presumption of guilt, this was French law until the Napoleonic Criminal Code, which outlawed such practices. Peter Navarro has been remanded to prison pending appeal. President Biden’s appointee, Judge Amit Priyavadan Mehta, denied Navarro’s request to stay out of prison during appeal.
Navarro was ordered to report to a Miami federal prison by 2 pm Tuesday, March 19, 2024. He commented:
“United States v. Peter Navarro is a landmark constitutional case that will eventually determine whether the constitutional separation of powers is preserved, whether executive privilege

President Joe Biden brandished a notecard complete with a pronunciation guide Friday even on a subject dear to his heart – a St. Patrick's Day meeting with the Irish Prime Minister, called the 'Taoiseach'.
Biden, who has taken heat for his use of notecards in the past, didn't hide his cheat sheet during the televised greeting in the Oval Office.
'Taoiseach, welcome back to the Oval office,' Biden said sitting alongside his guest Friday while holding his notecard in front of his unlit fireplace, which was fronted by a bowl of shamrock.

On Thursday afternoon, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg's office requested that the date of the "hush money" trial for former President Donald Trump be delayed--after Trump had already made a request for a delay from the judge: While former President Donald Trump's legal team has been seeking a delay of the trial in the so-called "hush money" case in light of the Supreme Court's taking up of the presidential immunity issue, now it's Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg's office requesting that the March 25, 2024 trial date be pushed back.

Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee on Friday ruled District Attorney Fani Wills can continue her RICO case against Trump and his associates.
In his 23-page decision, Judge McAfee ordered Fani Willis to address the “appearance of impropriety” before the case can move forward. McAfee ruled Willis can stay on the case but must fire her lover Nathan Wade, the top prosecutor she hired to hunt down Trump.
This is even though Nathan Wade and Fani Willis both lied under oath about when their relationship began.
Wade lied to the court in a civil proceeding about his divorce, provided false statements in a brief submitted and signed by Fani Willis

President Joe Biden’s endorsement Friday of a call by Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) for Israel to oust Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and hold new elections marks the worst crisis in the history of U.S.-Israel relations.
Israel is currently fighting to defeat Hamas, which murdered 1,200 people in the October 7 terror attack. It is also under attack from Hezbollah in Lebanon, and has even faced missile attacks launched by Houthi rebels in Yemen. All of these groups are funded and armed by Iran, which views the United States as its enemy. Instead of backing Israel fully, Biden is not only criticizing Israel

Earlier today Judge Scott McAfee ruled that he will allow crooked Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis to remain on her case against President Donald Trump.
But Judge McAfee says orders her to address the “appearance of impropriety” before the case can move forward. McAfee ruled Willis can stay on the case but must fire her lover Nathan Wade, the traffic attorney, from the case. This is despite the fact that Willis and Wade both lied under oath about their affair.
There is no justice in America today.

After many, many weeks of living in denial, basement-rated CNN finally bent to reality Friday and updated its electoral map to show former President Donald Trump winning the 2024 election with 272 electoral votes.
CNN, a far-left propaganda outlet that meddles in elections, spreads conspiracy theories, and encourages political violence, had been ridiculed for refusing to update its map even as months and months of polls showed Trump clearly defeating His Fraudulency Joe Biden nationally and in most of the all-important swing states.

During an interview with Bloomberg on Thursday, White House National Economic Council Deputy Director Daniel Hornung stated that “our progress on inflation does continue,” but “we’ve expected some seasonality in January and February. We didn’t expect the progress to continue on a straight line.”
Hornung said, [relevant remarks begin around 3:30] “I won’t comment on monetary policy and the Federal Reserve. I think what I can say, if you take a step back, our progress on inflation does continue, down from a peak of 9% to the 3% range. Always, I think, we’ve expected some seasonality in January and February. We didn’t expect the progress to continue on a straight line.

Fani Willis' future on the Donald Trump election fraud case in Georgia hangs in the balance with a judge set to decide on Friday if she should be disqualified over her affair with prosecutor Nathan Wade.
Judge Scott McAfee set himself a deadline of this week to announce his ruling after a set of blockbuster hearings where the embattled Fulton County District Attorney was questioned about her dating history and thousands of texts and phone calls.
Trump and his co-defendants in the Georgia racketeering case have called for Willis to be kicked off, claiming Wade and Willis' relationship was improper and broke ethics rules.

Vice President Kamala Harris made history when she became what is believed to be the first president or vice president to visit an abortion clinic on Thursday as the fight over abortion rights has been front and center since the overturning of Roe v Wade.
Harris met with abortion providers and staff at a Planned Parenthood clinic in Minneapolis, Minnesota as part of a nationwide tour she has been on after the landmark decision was struck down in 2022.
The vice president has been a fierce defender of abortion rights within the Biden administration as the issue has proven to be a strong motivator for voters and

The Biden administration's student loan bankruptcy policy is making it easier for borrowers to walk away from their debt, experts say.
It was previously very difficult for Americans to part from their debt in court in a regular bankruptcy proceeding, but new rules are reportedly making this easier.
'We have gotten forgiveness for a number of clients under the new bankruptcy changes,' Malissa Giles, a consumer bankruptcy lawyer in Virginia, told CNBC.'The discharge is life changing for them and their families.'
At the end of 2022, a new process for discharging student debt in the event of bankruptcy was introduced by the Department of Justice and the Department of Education.

Joe Biden on Thursday traveled to Saginaw, Michigan to participate in a campaign event, but the press was frozen out.
He looked lost as usual.
WATCH: (Video) Biden falsely claimed “saved my wife, saved my cat, and saved my Corvette” in a housefire.
“You know what? All kidding aside, my fire department saved my life,” Biden said. “They saved my wife…and my Corvette and cat…” (Video) Biden has told a version of this lie many times.
It turns out the house didn’t burn down.
In 2004 lightning struck Biden’s home, starting a small kitchen fire (who hasn’t had a small kitchen fire?) – Jill reported the small fire and it
