One person died aboard a Singapore Airlines flight and 30 people were injured, after the aircraft encountered an air pocket and was diverted to Bangkok, the airline said Tuesday.
The jet fell into an air pocket over Thai airspace and requested to land at Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok, an airport spokesperson said at a news conference, according to Reuters. The civil aviation department would launch an investigation, the official added. The flight had left London for Singapore, carrying 211 passengers and 18 crew members. The aircraft “encountered severe turbulence en-route,” according to Singapore Airlines.

Former president Donald Trump’s defense rested on Tuesday morning in his “hush-money” criminal trial, without Trump taking the stand.
Trump’s defense attorney Todd Blanche rested his case after testimony from Robert Costello, a former legal adviser to star witness and disbarred former Trump attorney Michael Cohen.
Closing statements are scheduled to take place next Tuesday and a charging conference will take place this afternoon. On his way out of the courtroom, Trump did not answer questions about his decision not to testify.

It is with a heavy heart that we must report who Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi's real killer is: The United States of America.
At least, that's the implication from Iran, which needed a couple of days to get its story straight and blame "Western sanctions" on the poor quality of its helicopters, which led to Raisi's untimely demise. That talking point is now floating around, thanks to friendly media outlets willing to overlook (if not actually cheer on) Iran being a country run by very bad people.
“One of the culprits behind yesterday’s tragedy is the United States, because of its sanctions that bar Iran from procuring essential aviation parts,”

You will be shocked to learn that almost all the aid the United States is moving into Gaza via that pier we painstakingly and expensively built is getting stolen before it arrives at its intended destination.
I certainly was. I expected that Gaza, which is filled with saints and angels, would be among the most law-abiding and safe places in the world for aid workers.
Sure, Israelis are hunting them, but the aid is being delivered where the Israelis are not, and shockingly it is not the dastardly and genocidal Joos who are stealing the aid as supplements to their diet of Palestinian babies, but rather

Amal Clooney played a key role in arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar.
If her name sounds familiar it is because she is the wife of actor George Clooney. She advised the International Criminal Court (ICC) in favor of issuing the warrants.
The fact that Israel is accused of crimes against humanity when it is fighting for its survival against the internationally recognized terror organization that massacred Israelis and others on October 7, 2023, is unbelievable. Equating Israel and Hamas is unacceptable. How would any reasonable person argue that Israel is the same as Hamas unless that person was an anti-Israel, anti-Jew antisemitic?

Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation Chairman Martin Gruenberg announced Monday that he will resign, after a recent probe found a widespread culture of sexual harassment and discrimination at the independent agency.
"In light of recent events, I am prepared to step down from my responsibilities once a successor is confirmed," Gruenberg said in a statement. "Until that time, I will continue to fulfill my responsibilities as Chairman of the FDIC, including the transformation of the FDIC's workplace culture." Following Gruenberg's announcement, Deputy White House Press Secretary Sam Michel said President Joe Biden would "soon" name his nominee for the position.

A federal judge temporarily blocked the Biden administration from fully enforcing a gun background check rule Sunday night.
Attorney General Merrick Garland announced the rule covering background checks for firearms purchases April 10, claiming it was based on bipartisan legislation passed in the wake of a deadly school shooting in Uvalde, Texas. United States District Judge Matthew J. Kacsmaryk of the Northern District of Texas issued a temporary restraining order blocking the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) from enforcing the rule against the state of Texas and certain gun organizations until June 2.

President Joe Biden forcefully denounced the International Criminal Court’s “outrageous” arrest warrant application against Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu and defense minister Yoav Gallant on Monday.
“Let me be clear: whatever this prosecutor might imply, there is no equivalence — none — between Israel and Hamas,” Biden said in a brief statement. “We will always stand with Israel against threats to its security.”
Earlier Monday, ICC chief prosecutor Karim Khan announced his intention to apply for an arrest warrant for the two Israeli leaders, as well as a separate warrant for three Hamas officials. Khan seeks to hold both sides accountable for their alleged war crimes —

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi is believed to be dead after a helicopter he was on crashed in the Islamic Republic’s East Azerbaijan province. Iranian state media reported Monday morning local time that there was “no sign of life” at the crash site.
Raisi, 63, had been serving as Iran’s president since August 2021 and was widely seen as a successor to Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the supreme leader of Iran. Others on board the helicopter were Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian, East Azerbaijan Governor Malek Rahmati, and Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Ale-Hashem, Khamenei’s representative to East Azerbaijan. Iranian state media reported on Sunday that the rotorcraft

On October 7 Hamas brutally maimed and murdered — not necessarily in that order — Israelis attending the Nova Music Festival in Re’im. Hamas kidnapped the living and the dead to Gaza.
Hamas has sought to Gaza exchange the living hostages and the bodies of the murdered Israelis for a multiple of living Hamas murderers incarcerated in Israel. Hamas seeks freedom for its incarcerated murderers so that they can assist in the project of repeating massacres again and again until Israel is annihilated — as Ghazi Hamid explained on Lebanon TV.
Late last week the IDF undertook an overnight operations to recover the bodies

Senior officials from the Biden administration held indirect talks last week with the Iranian regime in the Gulf state of Oman to avoid “escalation” in the region — even as Iran’s proxies continue to attack Israel and global shipping.
The effort is one of few diplomatic meetings between the U.S. and Iran, and recalls the secret meetings between President Barack Obama’s envoys and the Iranian regime in Oman in 2013 that set the stage for the Iran nuclear deal.
That agreement was widely viewed as favorable to Iran, allowing it to emerge after roughly a decade as a nuclear power. President Donald Trump withdrew from the deal in 2018;

Are you ready for the most ridiculous outcome imaginable regarding the recent offer of intelligence to Israel in exchange for a ceasefire? Here's the update: Joe Biden was not telling the truth about being able to pinpoint the location of Hamas leaders, including top terrorist Yahya Sinwar.
As RedState reported, the Biden administration recently promised that it had intelligence to offer that negated the need to enter Rafah and finish off Hamas. That was coupled with a diplomatic push by Secretary of State Antony Blinken demanding Israel "get out of Gaza."
At the time, it appeared the White House had been holding back valuable information while American hostages
