Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) pulled off his audacious primary election plan on Super Tuesday: to boost his Republican rival, Steve Garvey, so both would qualify for the general election, leaving more viable Democratic contenders behind. Under California’s “jungle” primary system, the top two vote recipients in the primary advance to the general election, regardless of party. Schiff might have faced a tougher challenge from one of the female Democrats in the race — Reps. Katie Porter (D-CA) or Barbara Lee (D-CA), for example. But when Garvey, a former baseball player for the Los Angeles Dodgers, entered the race as a Republican, he provided the perfect foil for Schiff to set up

Katie Porter gave up her house seat to run for senate. Porter is from California District 47 that she won by 3 percent in 2022. This district is an obvious opportunity for a GOP gain.

Seriously, why do they still call it "California"? How about some Truth-in-Naming and change it to "North Mexico"? The Reconquista worked. Now they're going for the whole enchilada..."Estados Unidos de Mexico". One more term for Biden and they'll finish the job.

The sfgate take on the primary said we will regret picking Garvey, because much of his support was from Dems infiltrating our side of the "open" primary. In other words, we didn't really pick our candidate, and we might as well have been good commies and vote for the majority party's candidate, Schiffhead. Kalifornia truly is a Communist state now.

Steve Garvey is nothing to write home about. He has crappy character and will just be another McCarthy. If he wins the seat against Schiff, it wont be much different than having Schiff in the seat. However, at least it won't be Schiff.

#10, If Garvey wins the Senate seat, he'll reduce the DemoniKKKrat margin by two. That's reason enough to elect him. And, I wasn't sure about Real President Donald J. Trump before the Nov 16, 2016 election, but I was extremely pleasantly surprised at what he accomplished, especially when he seemed to have the entire Deep State Swamp attacking him daily, If Garvey is only half as good as Trump turned out to be, I'll be happy.

Federal authorities constructed a wall surrounding the U.S. Capitol Building for President Joe Biden’s Thursday State of the Union speech, drawing the ire of Republicans who painted a contrast between Biden’s open border policies and the heavily guarded Capitol complex. The eight-foot black Capitol wall, approved by the Capitol Police Board, could be more heavily guarded on Thursday by law enforcement than the southern border where 1.7 million known “gotaways” escaped into the United States under Biden. The Capitol Police say Biden’s State of the Union address is a designated National Special Security Event, which requires a “robust” security plan

As a generation, the Boomers truly came of age, put the Cold War behind them, lived without crime and discord, and saw the beginnings of the greatest stock market boom in history. Any voter who listened to a stump speech from former South Carolina Gov. "He lost 40% of the primary vote in all of the early states," she said last week at a campaign rally in Minnesota. "You can't win the general election if you can't win that 40% [back]." Haley was exaggerating. For example, in the 15 GOP states that voted on Super Tuesday, she has gotten less than 20%
