Elder Abuse Is a Crime. We're All Watching

In 1892, Lord Alfred Bruce Douglas, Oscar Wilde's lover, wrote a poem called "Two Loves" which referred euphemistically to "the love that dare not speak its name." At that time, homosexuals were expected to keep their sexual orientation and relationships secret. In 1986, Norman Podhoretz published a groundbreaking essay in Commentary Magazine called "The Hate That Dare Not Speak Its Name," which put the subject of antisemitism in American journalism on the public radar. Now it's time for America to confront the Abuse That Dare Not Speak Its Name: elder abuse. And the victim is none other than President Joe Biden.

Yes we are. I'm trying to feel sorry for him, just can't get there. But his wife is as bad as Hillary. She loves the status, money and waving to the 'crowds' as she leaves Air Force One. She's also the mother who let her husband shower with her teen age daughter..

Give me a break. I don't feel the slightest bit "sorry for him." Joe Biden has been a vindictive, nasty, semi-literate lying POS his entire political life, and likely long before. A lot of us remember Robert Bork, likely the most qualified Supreme Court nominee ever, and Biden and Kennedy (D: Hell) destroyed that good man with vicious and contemptible lies. Same deal with Clarence Thomas, another good and decent man. Biden's humiliating and public disintegration is great sport to watch. Doctor Dingbat may be even more evil than he is, and they are going down together on the ash heap of history. If the DNC and the International Left take them both down, however it is accomplished, fine. Hell awaits him, and he can't be drop-kicked through those portals quickly enough.

“Elder Abuse,” my left elbow. 1) he’s still just cognizant enough to comprehend he lives in the WH and has power (even if it is minor power). That fact alone precludes “abuse.” 2) Poster #2 is most correct: Slimey Biden has been vindictive, nasty, and semi-literate his entire life. And I had forgotten about Judge Bork. THAT fact absolutely negates abuse. I don’t care if he shows up with bruises and in chains.

There's abuse but it's not elder abuse, it's Joe abusing the nation. To me it looks like he's loving every minute of being president, the power, the financial gain, he's no victim -- we are.

I'm with #1. Having unlimited vacation and beach time, fancy food and accommodations while being suffered by anybody in front of his microphone would be a dream come true for anybody who is coherent and being coddled. Joe just goes along with the script and eats his ice cream. Doctor Jill would miss the presidency and all of its trappings much more than Joe would.

FTA: 'The leader of the free world is now an actual physical representation of the decline of American power and the American Republic.' This, IMHO, explains why he IS still there. A mentally sharp, smooth talking spokes-model could just as well be the compliant puppet of TPTB. But showcasing this despicable, corrupt husk, is an extra layer of satisfaction to them. They despise the USA, and its people, and delight in their degradation.

Federal agents gathered evidence during the 2016 election that Hunter Biden had used access to his father on an official government trip to Beijing aboard Air Force Two to connect prospective Chinese business partners with then-Vice President Joe Biden, according to a massive cache of documents recently turned over to Congress and obtained by Just the News. "They got to meet Dad. All very good. Talk later,” Hunter Biden wrote in a December 2013 email confirming how he connected his Chinese associates with his father in a Beijing hotel after the vice president had met with Chinese President Xi Jinping.

In an overgrown field in the Bronx, a borough that has not voted red in a presidential election since 1924, Orthodox Jews, fraternity brothers, George Santos, Dominican immigrants, off-duty firefighters, and thousands of others are craning their necks for a view of Donald J. Trump. “Thank you, thank you,” Trump mouths to the crowd over the tune of “God Bless the USA.” He strides up to the podium, in a breeze that rattles the American flags behind him but is no match for his frozen blond quiff. Thousands of hands spring into the air, pumping rhythmically to chants of “U! S! A!”

It would be an understatement to say that official New York — that is, Democratic officials in New York — was hostile to former President Donald Trump holding a campaign rally in the Bronx. They hated it. They really hated it. When Gov. Kathy Hochul (D-NY) was asked on CNN about Trump’s effort to appeal to Hispanic and black voters, two critical parts of the Democratic coalition, she replied: “I’ll tell you what won’t make a difference at all … and that’s for Donald Trump to be a ringleader and invite all his clowns to a place like the Bronx.” Hochul called the Trump event a “made-up, fake rally”

While six months is admittedly a lifetime in politics, as the head of a Wall Street macroeconomic research firm, I can say with great confidence that, as far as the November election is concerned, the issue of inflation is settled, and President Biden has lost. There is not enough time to change the fact that over the last three years, the average person’s purchasing power has declined meaningfully. How do I know? Tired of wading through measures of inflation from academics and other expensive “experts” that bear little resemblance to the cost of living for the average person, we created our own measure of the consumer price index

This week, former South Carolina governor and GOP presidential candidate Nikki Haley finally endorsed Donald Trump. And, boy, the news was an unpleasant surprise to a political media that’s convinced themselves Trump is the next Hitler. On outlets like CNN and MSNBC, Haley was disparaged as if she were a traitor to the American republic. The American left, it seems, continues to believe a sizable contingent of Never-Trump Republican voters can sink the former president. It’s all just wishcasting. Most Nikki Haley voters will be Donald Trump voters. And the fact that Haley, highly critical of the former president during the primaries, is supporting Trump is no more shocking than

“It’s natural to wonder if democracy you hear about actually works for you,” Joe Biden told graduates of the historical black college of Morehouse. “What is democracy if black men are being killed in the street? What is democracy if a trail of broken promises still leaves black communities behind? What is democracy if you have to be 10 times better than anyone else to get a fair shot?” These are three of the most pernicious and divisive lies about American life. To begin with, the notion that the only way for a black graduate to succeed in America is to stratospherically overachieve is an obvious myth.

Donald Trump's first election redrew the map of American politics; suddenly Pennsylvania and Michigan were in the Republican column for the first time since the 1980s. But they didn't stay there: The Rust Belt states that made Trump president in 2016 sent Joe Biden to the White House in 2020. That second Trump election also redrew the map, this time forfeiting two Sun Belt states that had been Republican for decades, Arizona and Georgia, to the Democrats. Which map will Trump draw this time?

President Biden may not appear on the ballot in Ohio come Election Day, Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose warned Tuesday. The Ohio Democratic Party has received weeks of warnings from both LaRose's office and the state legislature saying that Biden is on track to miss the state's deadline for filing as a candidate. LaRose, a Republican, says the Democratic Party has yet to offer a solution that fits with existing law. Biden's problems arise from Ohio's requirement that parties certify their presidential candidates at least 90 days before Election Day. The Democratic Party won't certify Biden until its national convention in Wisconsin

In the aftermath of the 2020 election, it was widely believed that the Republicans faced a fork in the road, one path to stay the party of former President Donald Trump, another to turn toward a new leader, perhaps governors like Florida’s Ron DeSantis, Virginia’s Glenn Youngkin or even Maryland's Larry Hogan. Four years later, with another election looming, the GOP is now asking a different question: "Why not both?" Hogan, a popular two-term Republican governor in sapphire blue Maryland and frequent Donald Trump critic, just won his primary and stands a decent chance of flipping the Senate seat, and possibly the upper chamber itself.

The trial of former President Donald Trump is now in its sixth week in Manhattan. Even though it doesn’t meet every day, the court sessions are intense and can wear on all the participants. It is particularly unfortunate when they wear on the judge who is in control of all the proceedings. That is what appears to have happened late Monday, at the end of a very odd day, when Judge Juan Merchan abruptly ordered the courtroom cleared — of everyone, including press, even though the trial is public — when Merchan apparently lost his temper over a witness called by the Trump defense. How might we change the premise of Social Security to make it fully funded, more equitable, and sustainable indefinitely? Social Security is societal insurance, not an individual retirement plan. It’s intended to protect individuals against income loss due to retirement, disability, or death. It supports disabled individuals, survivors, and children and reduces poverty. Social Security protects taxpayers across American society. Without Social Security, millions would face poverty, straining families and state and local governments, increasing inequality, and destabilizing the economy.
