Democratic senators are admitting to private worries that President Biden’s age and health could cost their party the White House, but are loath to discuss those fears publicly, insisting there is no alternative to head the Democratic ticket in 2024.
Democratic senators who have spent time with Biden recently say he remains sharp mentally and claim they didn’t notice any diminution of cognitive abilities, contradicting special counsel Robert Hur’s claims that the president couldn’t remember what years he served as vice president.

it's not diapers age that is the problem it's all the previous years of boozing and carousing with ted kennedy and chris dodd with
- the copious amounts of Johnnie Walker Black that he guzzled that evaporated his brain cells plus
- he's not the brightest bulb in the tree to begin with and
- never has been,
- that's why he from one of the smallest states in the Union
- = less work and less influence peddling he has to do
- making him a lazy cuss to add to his intellectual level of a 3 (on a scale of 0-10)

Privately fear? They are quaking in their sandals because Joe has lost so many marbles that he can't even populate the bottom of a goldfish bowl and Kamala stated that she is "ready to lead."

Age shouldn't be the problem. There are lots of people Biden's age who are sharp as tacs and healthy as can be. Biden is not one of them. He shows every minute of his 81 years. His confusion and forgetfulness is on full display with every public appearance. His physical appearance (shuffling when walking, eyes shut, translucent skin) only add to his aging issues. Add Biden"s horrible policies to the doubts about his age/health, and Democrats had better be afraid!

To keep harping on his "age" only points to Donald Trump being four years younger, which is designed to hurt Trump, Age is not Biden's problem! It's his mental acuity, his cognition, his dementia, his physical fitness. Can we please call a spade a spade?

"say he remains sharp mentally" - It sounds like Democrat office holders have taken a blood oath to always speak the party line.

It's not Biden's age, it's the fact that he is an ignorant pervert who has committed treason. His domestic policies are an economic disaster and place all Americans in danger. His foreign policies are horrific Obama redux garbage, benefitting our enemies who have compromised Biden through his bagman drug addict son's illegal activities. It's not age, maybe it's just that actual Americans see through the deceit that is the Biden administration, although that certainly wasn't on display by foolish NY voters yesterday, who voted for more of the same destruction.

Well, privately fearing Dems, you are soon going to be publicly humiliated when the fool finally pulls a stunt, makes a HUGE blunder, not that he hasn''t already, but one you can't spin, then the chickens will come home to not only roost but release droppings all over you. You already look foolish trying to tell us we are blind and do not see his mental decline. You underestimate the voters and their abilility to know lies and spin when they hear it, and it is to your peril, hopefully, and your just comeuppance! MAGA

Stop with the AGE---it is cognitive ability that is the issue. Trump took a cognitive test a few years ago, and will probably take another one in that Biden has refused to take one.
A lot of older people are able to function and have retained cognitive ability. Age alone is not the issue here.

Exactly how private are these fears when they are willing to have their 'fears' put out in the press? Or is it just the Hill dept of making stuff up justifying their jobs?

Both my maternal and fraternal grandmothers lived to be 95 and 92 respectfully and became good friends years ago. Both had the usual aches and pains associated with living long lives but were sharp as tacks. My son's finances' grandparents are both Biden and McConnell's age, and he drives to his part time job as a Walmart greeter. While she still knits Christmas presents, exercises and cooks full course meals. The banter back and forth between them especially about their disdain for Biden is a joy to listen to. They too are sharp as tacks. Biden is nowhere near the level of competency that the four people I listed here are. Which is why Senate democrats in league with destroying PDJT. They know that in a fair election he would get trumped (no pun intended) by #45.

The list of reasons this person should never be in the White House is too long for this space. I won’t say re-elected, because the halt in counting votes and subsequent deluge of Biden votes that got him “elected” still troubles me. Most incompetent, unethical, amoral president ever.

It is not his age...he is mentally incompetent. If you keep saying AGE you are either stupid or just out and out lying. The next thing you know someone will pass a law that says no one over 75 can run for office. He has been a crook from day one and is now more mentally incapable than ever.

Age is not the problem. It is mental deterioration from dementia that is the problem. In Biden’s case it appears to be advanced and getting worse by the day. He should not be allowed to drive a car, much less, be able to launch a nuclear attack as president.

"his age"?
He's always been a stupid jerk and corrupt POS. Still is,...only worse. A national embarrassment and a danger to every single citizen of the USA except to maybe all of the illegals, foreign agents and saboteurs in the country illegally.
He has Alzheimer's Disease. He's mentally gone and has been for a long time.
