A comic in a club started to make a joke about President Joe Biden and was promptly heckled by a woman shouting, “Stop it. I like Joe.”
I watched the YouTube video of it and once again marveled at the very idea that anyone in 2023 could be so ignorant of Biden’s character.
At present, polls show that his approval ratings are the lowest ever for an incumbent president but the very fact that 30% of those polled still believe he’s doing a good job means that idiocracy is now the normal state in America.
All right, perhaps, I’m wrong and the average I.Q. in America hasn’t decreased to -50.

Sadly, they’re out there with their mind numbing opinions… fortunately, I don’t believe there are many of them. I have an octogenarian neighbor (a couple actually, so two octogenarian neighbors) who, despite all their weirdness and quirky behaviors, I was polite and friendly with in our occasional passings by. One day recently, they expressed concern over an anti-Biden sign that went up down the street. I commented that I thought it was funny as heck and chuckled. They looked stone facedly at me and replied, “We like President Biden” and “he’s the best president of my lifetime.”
With a truest bewildered look on my face, I asked, “What?” And then they lanybched into a tirade about Trump… “Trump’s a RACIST/ Trump’s mean/ Trump’s unpresidential/ Trump’s a crook…” blabbering like rabid dogs.
I told them to have a nice day and left. No wonder nobody in the neighborhood likes them.

I do not believe the divide is so much political but os more a moral one. There are all kinds of AmerIcans, all colors, of all religions on both sides but what divides is the absence of a moral compass. The left have no moral authority in their lives. It’s the if it feels good, do it crowd while the right has a strong sense of values instilled in their souls because of a belief in God. This divide is deep and the left is simply not able to live with others who have a different viewpoint. In their eyes, we must submit to their agenda. They will never submit to ours.
I honestly do not see how we can go forward as one cohesive nation. In the past the left was, at least, respectful of another point of view. Now the difference is a jumping off place in which their rage consumes them. How dare anyone defy their beliefs?
Even if Trump is successful, which we all pray he is, this will not end well. Be prepared for the mother of all demonstrations. These people have passed the point of rational thought. We will be subjected to demonstrations in the manner of the ones we have seen in the Israel/Hamas divide but hundreds of times worse. Joe didn’t bring in these third world men for nothing. Nevertheless, we must prevail if our children and grandchildren are to live in peace and prosperity. Biden and the left has set us on a path of chaos and violence. Sanity and reason must prevail or this country and the world will be plunged into darkness like we have never seen before. It is the epic battle of good versus evil and could very well play out in our lifetime.

I will go further (or start a step earlier if you prefer) than Ms. Colon. Genders exclusively belong in a book of English grammar. People are divided into sexes - male and female, generally referred to as men and women. Don't give up the language so easily!.

It’s not a bubble, it’s genetic.
How else can you explain any person with functioning IQ, voting democrat after Jimmy Carter.
And that was 1980

I believe 10% in favor of Joe Biden would be a better estimate. The 30% figure is the number of people who just hate Trump so badly they would cut off their nose to spite their face.

The problem has become that there is no truth. There's "your truth" and "my truth" and "their truth", not The Truth! We all believe what we want to believe. When I mention a story that's been in the news, my NYT reading/NPR listening family members roll their eyes and sarcastically say, "Where did you hear that, FOX NEWS?: I don't have cable TV and actually don't get any news from the television. I read the news from many different sources and it can be a mine field trying to find THE Truth. Sometimes there is outright lying, but most of the time its omitting facts they don't want you to know.If we're honest, even conservative news sometimes gets it wrong.

The point that Alicia is missing is that these bubble people appear to like Joe because they have voted democrat all their lives because their family and friends have voted democrat forever and the actual candidates do not matter. None of the bubble people pay attention to actions, words or results of whatever "D" happens to occupy the office, only that it's a "D." Nobody is born in a bubble, they have to climb in under their own power and once they do, they feel the obligation to stay no matter how illogical it may be. You may notice that Hillary and all of the other despicable D's who have occupied chairs in Congress forever enjoy the same level of "loyalty" that Joe does.

If the Democrats didn't control academia and if the National Foundation for Science weren't completely politicized, we would probably now have a much better academic understanding of the forces at work that make one half of the Country spout nonsense to rationalize their support for the Party of Slavery. I wish Liberty University or the like had a larger sociology/psychology department to capture some of that valuable research.

The power of brainwashing is most evident in today's society. For those of you who are interested in human psychology, a form of brainwashing known as "operant conditioning" explains the left's behaviors. Looking back at world history, Lenin, Stalin, Hitler, and Mao among others all used it for controlling behavior and thought within the masses. In today's world, Kimmie from NORK uses it all the time. Another recent example, the hamas is using this behavioral technique to train people to hate Israel and be pro-hamas.

poster #9, you are absolutely correct. My husband's brother votes for democrats because his daddy, (yes, he refers to his father as daddy and this man is almost 80yrs old) and his grandfather voted for democrats. He even called my husband a traitor for voting for President Trump. They hardly talk to each other anymore.

Miss Alicia hits the nail precisely on the head.
However, I think 'the bubble' is larger than what she described.
And, the technique is rather simple.
There is so much happening in the country, not to mention the world, that there is a river of information constantly flowing, 24/7/365. Just as a person can drink only a very small part of the whole river's flow, each of us can 'consume' only a very small part of the information river that is constantly flowing. A working person hears maybe the 'top-of-the-hour' news on the radio- the same 2 or 3 minutes repeated over and over all day- and there is maybe 10 minutes of 'news' on the evening 30-minute TV 'news' show (the rest being commercials, 'sports' and weather).
A news organization's choosing what few items out of that river of information to report on is the first -and perhaps most important- factor in influencing the opinions of that news organization's customers. I have a neighbor who is smart, decent...... but who gets his news from the 'Lamestreams'. We were talking one day, the discussion wandered off into politics, and we quickly found that we had quite different viewpoints. Now, this guy is no dummy, and I THINK that I'm not a complete idiot myself, and after thinking about this, this confirms to me that where someone gets their 'information' will drive their opinions, as their opinions are based on their understanding of what is going on.
Watch a few minutes of ABC News, NBC News, CBS News, NPR, skim the front page of the NY'Slymes', read a few articles from AP 'American Pravda', online Yahoo News, or the news feed that pops up in the small window on the taskbar of new computers running Windows (I disabled it immediately when I bought my computer, so I don't remember what source they used.) If these are the sources people use, they are 'In the Bubble'...... they never hear about Biden's corruption, but they hear about the charges against Trump in lurid and excruciating detail, and there is NEVER any mention of how crooked these charges are. Just as Trump made the tongue-in-cheek comment about 'being a dictator on day one', these 'news' organizations deliberately misreported this as a serious declaration by Trump..... but they NEVER carry what he declares, over and over again, as to what he WILL DO when he gets back into office. Every item that runs current to The Narrative is ignored or ridiculed. Every 'comment' that supports The Narrative is repeated in dead-serious tones as if it is the Gospel Truth. Not just about Trump, but across the entire flow of the information river.
Remember the Rodney King video, years ago? The Media described King as a 'Motorist' and showed -over and over- the tail end of the video clip where he is on the ground and the cops, one in particular, is beating him. The Media NEVER showed the first part of the video, where King -who was a pretty big guy- was on the ground, then got up and ATTACKED the cops. No, I saw THAT part of the video on Rush Limbaugh's TV show..... and nowhere else. The Media Narrative was these Racist Cops Attacked an innocent BLACK MOTORIST. One-sided reporting -across all the big networks- that deliberately gave a false impression to the viewers.
THAT -deliberately biased selection what news stories to cover, and bias in the way they are covered, I think, is the source of much of the divide here in America.

If I was that comic, I would have looked at the lady and asked, what do you like about Joe?
He took showers with his underage daughter?
Inflation is double digit?
Unemployment is on the rise?
There are wars all over the place?
The people and soldiers that got killed in Afghanistan?
He peddled influence for billions of dollars?
His son that is a crack addict and beat up hookers while smoking crack and snorting cocaine?
When there was no answer I would have told her to sit downm and STHU!

They are addicted to the HOPIUM delivered by the mainstream delivery systems such as news outlets and shows like the View, Real Time, the Sunday morning hybrids, and all of NPR. They all tell you what to be happy about, sad about, and what to fear, virtually all of it false and based upon demonstrably false premises. The freedom from doing analysis themselves, as well as the feeling of belonging when the View audience cheers or the anti-Trumpers boo, produces the serotonin rush that they are addicted to. When a false premise is shown to be false, some experience that moment of clarity, the epiphany, that comes when truth is recognized and the addiction is broken. We call that moment being red pilled, from the movie.

Like dictators everywhere, Biden didn't ask for, or care if his "subjects" (formerly known as American citizens) approved of his invitation to foreign nationals to flood the US illegally, Throughout his term in office, he hasn't seemed particularly worried about winning the next election, almost as though Democrats and the MSM know something the rest of us don't. That's not a comforting thought, given Democrats' relentless efforts to keep Donald Trump out of office despite the damage from his policies that we see all around us.

We The People own the broadcast band. The Media companies bid on their bandwidths with the understanding that they will inform We The People objectively. They do not do anything of the kind.
We The People demand a new Fairness Doctrine: When 99% of the national Media is made up of Agendaganda, the broadcast license holders are not keeping up their end of the bargain, and therefore violate the terms of their respective broadcast licenses.
These current licenses should all be revoked. These media outlets should be banned from participating in the ensuing auctions to fill these bandwidths. They are not serving the general welfare. Any and all of them- including Faux and the entire censored media.

"... but the very fact that 30% of those polled still believe he’s doing a good job ..."
Some of us still have a pretty clear memory of popular Lcom sources citing FJB's job approval at NINETEEN percent in the first half of his term. Every new article citing "lowest ratings ever" that are higher than that, as we have here (from Alicia Colon, no less!!) make me feel less inclined to trust even the conservative press, any more. Everybody is contradicting established facts and even themselves. And I don't have time or energy to back-check EVERYTHING in the news.
So why not just ignore all the news? It wouldn't have as much information; but it wouldn't have as much DISinformation, either.
