The Israeli army said today that it had recovered during an operation in Gaza the bodies of two hostages taken by Hamas in its October 7 attack. Following the bodies' positive identification, authorities 'informed the families of Eden Zakaria and Ziv Dado that their bodies had been recovered and returned to Israel,' the army said in a statement. Zakaria, 28, had travelled to the Nova festival with her boyfriend Ofek Kimchi, 23, who was killed in the attack which left more than 260 dead and saw dozens captured.

Joe Biden gave some brief remarks on Wednesday. You knew that reporters were going to be asking him about his son defying a congressional subpoena and the impeachment inquiry that's starting against him. Biden didn't sound well. He seems to be having more of this coughing and more slurring of late. Transgender activist Jennifer Finney Boylan, a man who “transitioned” to a woman in the year 2000, told the New York Times that as an organization PEN America fights for free speech for both conservatives and left-wingers.
