One of the major reasons why Americans are divided and hostile toward each other is that we live in alternate universes. Not literally, but functionally. We have all seen the polls that show Americans have been losing trust in the MSM for a long time. Only 36% of Americans say they have a “great deal” or “fair amount” of trust in the MSM, but this fact hides an important distinction: the majority of Democrats trust the MSM, while Republicans have given up on getting anything remotely close to the truth from the MSM. Republicans have earned their distrust not just because they are often lied about and can’t help but notice this fact,

I disagree that people innocently believe the MSM and that they are not unsmart. They believe what the MSM says because it is comfortable. It lines up with what they already believe. That it is intellectually lazy bothers them not.

Mark Cuban, the billionaire owner of the NBA’s Dallas Mavericks, will reportedly sell a majority stake in the team to billionaire Miriam Adelson, widow of late businessman Sheldon Adelson, according to multiple reports. The Mavericks and Cuban didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment. Adelson said in a Las Vegas Sands filing earlier Tuesday she would sell $2 billion in stock to buy a majority stake in a sports franchise. But no franchise was named in the filing despite it saying there was a "binding purchase agreement." Sportico first reported that Cuban was going to sell to Adelson. The Athletic reported the deal

Alternate headline: Welcome to RICO 101. The Guardian calls this an “exclusive,” and it may well be … as a reportable fact. In terms of expectations, though, we may as well learn that Georgia has a few peach trees and can get a wee bit humid. Prosecutors pushing RICO cases rarely offer an easy way out for the alleged top person in the alleged conspiracy, after all. However, the report may be a surprise as to the number of people Fani Willis considers the top: Fulton county prosecutors do not intend to offer plea deals to Donald Trump and at least two high-level co-defendants charged in connection

Charles Thomas Munger, known by his nickname, “Charlie,” was born on January, 1, 1924, in Omaha, Nebraska. Munger served in the US Army during World War II after leaving the University of Michigan in 1943 at the age of 19.

The influential network associated with billionaire Charles Koch will throw its money and influence behind former South Caroline Gov. Nikki Haley in the Republican presidential primary, the group announced Tuesday. The decision could dramatically reshape the Republican field – roughly seven weeks before the Iowa caucuses – as Americans for Prosperity Action deploys its vast resources and standing army of conservative activists on behalf of the former South Carolina governor. The endorsement marks the latest sign that powerful Republican donors are coalescing behind the candidacy of the former US ambassador to the United Nations. She has seen prominent figures join her campaign in recent weeks, particularly after

Hunter Biden is willing to testify publicly before the Republican-led House Oversight Committee on any day in December, according to his lawyer Abbe Lowell. In a letter sent to Oversight chairman James Comer (R., Ky.), Lowell said the president’s son will testify before the congressional panel rather than show up to a private deposition. The correspondence was written in response to House Republicans subpoenaing Hunter Biden on November 8 for a closed-door deposition as part of the GOP’s impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden.

The first reports about the medical conditions of the hostages released from Hamas captivity are out, and they aren't good. The news comes on the heels of several dozen hostages being released as part of a rolling ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas. The halt in hostilities is expected to last as long as the terrorist government continues to release those they took captive on October 7th as planned. Israel has vowed to resume military action to destroy Hamas once the ceasefire ends. As to the condition of the hostages that have been returned, initial reports show signs of starvation and malnutrition.

The Palestinian terrorist group Hamas is refusing to release an infant Israeli hostage, Kfir Bibas, who was nine months old at the time of his abduction, among the 50-70 hostages it is letting go as part of a four-to-six-day “pause” in the fighting. The Times of Israel reported: The IDF’s Arabic spokesperson Avichay Adraee indicates to Sky News that the Bibas family — father Yarden, mother Shiri, 10-month-old baby Kfir and 4-year-old Ariel — will not be released today from Hamas captivity. Adraee explains that the family was taken hostage by Hamas during the October 7 massacre, and was then transferred

The Walt Disney Co. seems to have admitted "its controversial political and social agenda" has hurt the company and shareholders, according to Jonathan Turley. Turley, a George Washington University law professor and Fox News contributor, used the 300th birthday of famed economist Adam Smith, whose "invisible hand" metaphor explained how people could exercise their choice between particular products, to put a spotlight on Disney's struggles. "Disney appears to acknowledge that Smith’s invisible hand is giving the ‘House of Mouse’ the middle finger. In a new corporate disclosure, Disney acknowledges that its controversial political and social agenda is costing the company and shareholders," Turley wrote in a piece for The Hill.

Israel and Hamas have agreed to extend the ongoing truce for another two days, which will allow the release of 20 additional hostages, Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesman Majid Al Ansary wrote in a post on X Monday. The announcement came on the last day of the agreed upon four-day cease-fire which emerged out of a deal that led to the release of 50 Israeli hostages in exchange for 150 Palestinian security prisoners. So far, Israel has released 117 prisoners and has allowed humanitarian aid to reach Gaza as part of the agreement. Hamas, for its part, has returned 58 hostages in total, with 39 being Israeli citizens. Before the temporary truce,

The number of illegal migrants known crossing into Germany has collapsed in just weeks after the government decided to try something new… border control. Around 300 illegal migrants are detected crossing on average into Germany every day, down considerably from the roughly 700 a day a month ago, analysis of police figures in a German newspaper claims. The sudden change follows a new policy of border control from the nation’s ‘traffic light’ coalition government, dominated by the pro-open borders left-wing Social Democrats and the Green party, with some input from the free-market liberal Free Democrats.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu hosted Elon Musk on Monday to tour the horrors of the Oct. 7 massacre, specifically at Kibbutz Kfar Gaza, an Israeli community that borders Gaza. Musk, who was wearing a dark suit with a bulletproof vest, joined Netanyahu and military officials, who were also wearing protective equipment, for a walk through the desolate community, still reeling from the massacre when 1,200 Israelis were killed in a single day. In the same attack, more than 240 hostages were dragged back into Gaza by the Hamas-led forces. During Monday's visit, Musk met with victims’ families, heard from local community leaders and saw firsthand the destruction of the kibbutz.

That’s the message from New Zealand’s incoming conservative coalition government which has vowed to scrap the nation’s smoking ban to fund tax cuts across the broader community and stem any possibility of starting a black market. The legislation, introduced under the previous left-wing Jacinda Ardern-led government, would have banned cigarette sales next year to anyone born after 2008, as Breitbart News reported. The proposed measures included reducing the number of authorized tobacco retailers by 90 percent and slashing the amount of nicotine allowed in smoking products.

Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) said Monday to CBS News that Israel did not have a right “to kill 12,000 people in six, seven weeks” in response to the October 7 terror attack. Sanders said, “Well, this was how I respond. Look, Israel was attacked in an absolutely horrific way by Hamas, 1,300 innocent people were slaughtered. Israel has a right to defend itself, but what Israel does not have a right to do, in my view, is to kill 12,000 people in six, seven weeks, two-thirds of whom are women and children. That they don’t have right to do, that’s a violation of international law.”

Based on the current polls, we may very well have an immovable object meets an irresistible force scenario, except here it is two aging, past-their-prime retreads who, in any normal time, would have retired to enjoy the remaining sands of the hourglass but have decided to instead run again for president. Both have fatal flaws. Under the old rules, we knew the election outcome without a doubt. Trump can’t possibly win, and Biden is certain to lose. But someone has to win, and it will not be that RFK weirdo. This spectacle is not a done deal. Though he’s far ahead today, Trump can still lose the nomination. I

'A 100-kilometer stretch of wilderness known as one of the most dangerous migrant crossings in the world - people report being subjected to kidnappings and rape in tents set up for that purpose,' Doctors Without Border said last week.
