Hunter Biden Willing to Testify Publicly

Hunter Biden is willing to testify publicly before the Republican-led House Oversight Committee on any day in December, according to his lawyer Abbe Lowell. In a letter sent to Oversight chairman James Comer (R., Ky.), Lowell said the president’s son will testify before the congressional panel rather than show up to a private deposition. The correspondence was written in response to House Republicans subpoenaing Hunter Biden on November 8 for a closed-door deposition as part of the GOP’s impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden.

I'm not a lawyer, but i understand if you plead the 5th, you need to stick with it. But I do remember that other Dem flunkies (Lois Lerner comes to mind) read a prepared statement denying all wrongdoing and then plead the 5th before a congressional committee. A closed door session would possibly get some information. Hunter and Joe's lawyers just want a show. But if the GOP members can get their ducks in a row, present evidence, and let Hunter take #5 over and over and over again, it might be a good show.

Funny. The only reason this is news is because any rational thinker would conclude Hunter would be crazy to talk to any investigative body given the facts already in evidence. So this tells me that the Democrats have achieved a level of bravado in their narrative artistry that leaves them feeling pretty emboldened. No secret there.

This is a setup. Public hearing requires each side given 5 minutes to pontificate or query. Waste of time. Deposition permits questioning until satisfaction on a point of interest. Here's where you get the goods.

One of former president Donald Trump's current attorneys told special counsel Jack Smith's team that, within days of the Justice Department issuing a subpoena last year for all classified documents at Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate, she "very clearly" warned Trump that if he failed to fully comply -- but then swore he did -- "it's going to be a crime," according to sources familiar with the matter. Sources said the lawyer, Jennifer Little, told investigators Trump "absolutely" understood the warning, which came during a pivotal meeting at Mar-a-Lago with Trump and another attorney, Evan Corcoran, who had recently joined Trump's legal team.

Three people were killed and six were wounded, two of them seriously, in a terror shooting attack, later claimed by Hamas, at the entrance to Jerusalem on Thursday morning, police and medics said. The victims were named later as Livia Dickman, 24, Ashdod rabbinical judge Elimelech Wasserman, 73, and Hannah Ifergan, who was in her 60s. According to police, at around 7:40 a.m. two Palestinian gunmen got out of a vehicle on Weizman Boulevard at the main entrance to the capital and opened fire at people at a bus stop. Police said two off-duty soldiers and an armed civilian in the area returned fire, killing the two terrorists.

JERUSALEM — Israel and Hamas on Thursday agreed to extend a temporary truce by another day minutes before it was set to expire, said Qatar, which has been mediating between the two sides. Negotiations on extending it came down to the wire, with last-minute disagreements over the hostages to be freed by Hamas in exchange for another day of a halt in fighting. Word of the extension came just as the truce was to expire at 7 a.m. (0500 GMT) Thursday. The Qatari Foreign Ministry said the truce was being extended under the same terms as in the past, under which Hamas has released 10 Israeli hostages per day in exchange

Republicans pushing for Joe Biden's impeachment publicized an email from a bank investigator who was alarmed by 'unusual' and 'erratic' activity in Hunter Biden's financial transactions with a Chinese company. The money from the flagged transactions then trickled down to Joe Biden in the form of a $40,000 'loan repayment' check from James and Sara Biden in 2017, say Republicans. According to bank records obtained by Republicans, a money trail started with a $5 million payment from Chinese oil giant CEFC, a Hunter venture, through several Biden-connected entities and resulted in the $40,000 deposit into Joe's account. The Bank Secrecy Act manager wrote in a bombshell June 2018 email released Wednesday
