Two years ago, my colleague Joe Cunningham wrote about the beautiful ad that Chevrolet did for Christmas with a man who is sad at the holidays because his wife has died. The daughter then lovingly has the wife's car -- which is under wraps in the barn, unused for a while -- restored, unbeknownst to the father, to surprise him and bring back those memories of the love of his wife he so misses. “It’s what mom would’ve wanted,” the daughter says.
It was a wonderful ad, at a time during the pandemic when we'd been through so much with lockdowns and a change in society and the White House,

Black Friday shopping has long been a fraught experience with mobs and stampedes willing to do seemingly anything to score a discounted television, but this year a group of pro-Hamas organizations are promising to make things even worse.
The groups, ones that apparently have no issue with the actions of Hamas terrorists on October 7, are calling for anti-Israel goons to "shut it down 4 Palestine" this Friday with a call to "boycott, disrupt, & rally at commercial centers" as Americans look to get some bargains.
Their "reason" for the disruption/shutdown? Well, they say there should be "no business as usual while genocide is taking place,"

You can see it with your own eyes. But Democrats and their left-wing media allies call it a "fantasy." What is it?
Election fraud.
A Lawrence, Massachusetts, voter who had been turned away from the polls on Election Day and told he had already voted found out he was the victim of fraud. He checked the footage on the video camera outside his front door and saw that a woman had removed mail-in ballots from his mailbox. He called the police.
It's happening in many places. On Tuesday, Fight Voter Fraud, Inc., a nonprofit voter rights group, appeared in Connecticut Superior Court

‘Fully prevent drivers from exceeding the speed limit’
Just when you thought there were no parts of your life not already under the thumb of the federal government, a new idea emerges.
This time it comes from the National Transportation Safety Board and it involves outsiders having control of the gas pedal in your car.
While you’re driving, of course.
The proposal from the NTSB is to install “intelligent speed assistance” tech in all cars, a system that uses a car’s GPS location and local speed limit postings “to help ensure safe and legal speeds.”
What the NTSB wants is to require systems that “warn” when a driver is speeding,

A transgender biological male has been arrested for threatening to do a copycat of the Nashville school shooting.
In March, transgender killer Audrey Hale entered the Covenant School in Nashville and killed three nine‑year‑old children and three adults before being killed by responding police officers.
On November 7, Jason Lee Willie, also known as “Alexia” Willie, was charged with 14 counts of Interstate Communication of a Threat to Injure, all felonies, for threatening to kill school children and rape Christian girls, according to an indictment obtained by the Daily Caller.
In one of the threats, which he sent from Illinois to Virginia, stated, “We’re out here walking into your school, shooting your children,

When we say the word “Thanks-giving,” it presumes the giving of thanks.
But to whom is that thanks given?
Since the first Thanksgiving on Plymouth Rock and its subsequent establishment as a day of thanks on Oct. 3, 1789, the recipient of that thanks on behalf of the United States of America has always been God.
But in keeping with the destruction of everything good and virtuous in this nation, this year, God has been removed as the recipient of thanks on Thanksgiving.
On Wednesday, President Biden released his Thanksgiving proclamation for 2023.
For the first time in American history, the proclamation completely omitted any reference to God or faith.

Thanksgiving is upon us, and if you were the one buying the food, you probably weren't happy with the bill. Food costs have skyrocketed under the Biden administration, and this year's holiday season is no different.
Karine Jean-Pierre thinks you are an idiot, though. She put out a social media post on Wednesday linking to a video from one of her recent briefings. In the body of the post is a claim that a series of prices have been lowered. She got absolutely blasted in response. [Tweet]
What you are seeing is a long-standing retail sales scam whereby prices are increased greatly and then decreased slightly

President Joe Biden turned 81 on Monday. This gave the president — or his handlers — a chance to pose him with his birthday cake in the White House and then share the photo on social media.
The cake’s candles produced the effect of a swirling fire and elicited clever, relentless mockery from cynical social media users.
“There’s a portal to hell on a plate in front of him,” conservative radio host Dana Loesch said in a post. [Tweet]
Apparently, whoever handles Biden’s social media accounts, whether the president or an aide, thought it a good idea to attempt jokes about his age.
“Thanks for the birthday well-wishes today, everyone.

Not only will a lawsuit against the state of Georgia regarding its election security measures go forward, but a judge said in her ruling that the “evidence does not suggest that the Plaintiffs are conspiracy theorists of any variety.”
The only way to make that any better would be if this judge were appointed by, say, former President Barack Obama. And lo and behold, she was!
In a 135-page ruling issued Nov. 10, U.S. District Judge Amy Totenberg of the Northern District of Georgia allowed a lawsuit from the Coalition for Good Governance to go forward, noting in her decision that the issue might be better decided outside of courtrooms.

Sometimes it’s not only OK to quit. Sometimes it’s necessary.
That’s what some female athletes in England did when they learned they were going to have to play against a man claiming to be a woman, the U.K.’s Daily Mail reported Monday.
They refused to play.
They weren’t being transphobic. They refused to play because they were afraid.
What caused the fear? A female soccer player suffered a broken knee when blocking a shot from Francesca Needham, a 30-year-old man. They were afraid that if they took the field against Needham, they could be injured too.
Two matches in the Sheffield and Hallamshire Women’s League had to be canceled because of the boycott,

A vehicle exploded at the Rainbow Bridge between Canada and the United States in upstate New York on Wednesday afternoon according to state and federal officials — though additional details remain unknown at this time.
At least one individual, a 27-year-old male, has been hospitalized after being injured in the explosion, according to reports. [Tweet]
A statement from the FBI said that agents from its Buffalo field office are "investigating a vehicle explosion at the Rainbow Bridge, a border crossing between the U.S. and Canada in Niagara Falls." [Tweet]
The FBI added it is "coordinating with our local, state and federal law enforcement partners in this investigation"

It often seems as if The Rolling Stones are going to be around and touring forever. They were already fixtures of rock and roll when I was a kid in the '70s. Lo, these many decades later, the band is still together. Drummer Charlie Watts died in the summer of 2021, but the surviving members are in the mood to hit the road again (something Watts loathed doing).

Ever the savvy businessmen, Mick, Keith, and Ron have found the most age-appropriate tour sponsor ever.
The Wrap:
The Rolling Stones will be hitting the road in the U.S. and Canada this spring
