A top evangelical leader in Iowa, Bob Vander Plaats, confirmed Tuesday that his organization received $95,000 from what Reuters originally described as the “DeSantis campaign, a super PAC linked to him and a nonprofit group” before he endorsed the governor’s presidential election.
Fox News’s Bret Baier questioned Vander Plaats on the report, which asserts that Gov. Ron DeSantis’s (R-FL) campaign and groups associated with him gave a total of $95,000 to the nonprofit, the Family Leader Foundation, which Vander Plaats heads up. At the time, Reuters pointed to campaign finance reports “and a document prepared by an Iowa state lawmaker who was helping the Vander Plaats organization raise money

Nice. Vander Plaats outs himself as just another phony celebrity evangelical. Preachers like this are a blight on true Christianity.

It’s called selling your soul. Power-hungry men, both. Birds of a feather. Mr DeSantis, go back to Florida, and get back to your day job. You’re as good as the company you keep. And right now you could use some real friends.

From the article: "Fox News’s Bret Baier questioned Vander Plaats on the report, which asserts that Gov. Ron DeSantis’s (R-FL) campaign and groups associated with him gave a total of $95,000 to the nonprofit, the Family Leader Foundation, which Vander Plaats heads up."
This is very disappointing and my opinion is along the lines of #1. It does not reflect well on Christianity. There is one other word that disturbs me in that paragraph. Nonprofit. These foundations are becoming questionable to me and they seem to rack in a lot of money.
I don't know who I am more disappointed in - Ron DeSantis or Bob Vander Plaats. It is not sitting well with me.

The prostitute sold himself too cheaply, unless he only got what he is worth, but then the majority of those who claim to speak for God are frauds who are in it solely for the money, the Bentleys and the women, unless they prefer little boys.

Not really sure why anyone who is a Christian and can read the Bible needs to listen to a minister or whatever tell him/her what the Bible says. As for non-profits, they are anything but. The exceptions maybe your local animal rescue group, but the big ones like the Sierra Club, etc are rolling in millions of dollars and I would say even many of the small local non-profits are doing pretty good what with all these "foundations" throwning money around at, especially, lefty groups.

Simple question, why would the "Desantis campaign" donate $95,000 to anyone or anything unless it was to promote endorsements or receive votes--hence buying votes? Not a good look. This typically goes the other way--Vander Plaats donating money to Desantis to give him support.

DeSantis should drop out NOW and throw his full support to Trump, get his butt back to Florida and finish his job there, then he will be the perfect Republican candidate in 2028.

Didn't Gov. Ron just buy off the Gov. of Iowa for her endorsement? Think this is the MO for Mr. Sanctimonious!

Forget about 2028. He is now so over...
Shoddy business.
I recall when he trumpeted that Iowa and the Evangelicals would bring him a win. So this was part of The Plan all along...
