The vehicle explosion that occurred near a U.S.-Canada border crossing Thursday afternoon is not believed to be the result of terrorism, New York governor Kathy Hochul said early Wednesday evening.
Two passengers are reported dead after a vehicle exploded near the Rainbow Bridge border crossing separating the United States from Canada. A border agent was also reportedly injured in the attack.
Sources told Reuters that it is now likely believed that the blast was the result of reckless driving, contrary to earlier assessments of a terrorist attack initially reported by Fox News.

Because Hochul is a liberal you can't believe anything she says.

Could have been a medical emergency resulting in a crash, or perhaps a suicide. I will wait for more info. I would think that if you wanted to commit terrorism you would have aimed the vehicle at another vehicle or perhaps one of the small huts holding government personnel. Hoping it was an accident but I will not be surprised when things do happen. Lots going on this time of year. This will not be the first time someone in a vehicle decides to mow down people visiting an outdoor Christmas bazaar or other get together. Be aware America, stay safe.

Asserting that it wasn't a terrorist Act practically guarantees that it was.

Yeah, right. A modern day car just blew up due to driver error. The only vehicles that just blow up is an EV. And not a word that it was an EV. If the goobernment or a goobernment official said it, its a lie. Guess there were too many private and aired videos of 9/1 for the goobernment to blame it n pilot error resulting in a building just blowing up.

I tend to believe the guv. There is a video clip of the car flying through the air seeming after being launched. And then there is this snip" '...A car which smashed into the US-Canada border on Wednesday morning was a $300,000 Bentley driven by a New York businessman, it has emerged, as authorities reassured a jittery public that there was no known terrorist connection.
The 56-year-old businessman and his wife died when their Flying Spur plowed into the US checkpoint at high speed, bursting into flames at 11:27am. ...'

Why did I see tonight that Homeland is on heightened alert it they didn't think it was terror?
After seeing hundreds of awful crashes, including multiple highway smash ups, I've never seen one explode as if it were carrying explosives. Only Hollywood does that - for effect.

Yeah, sure.
My mind immediately jumped back several years when, while Seth Rich's body was still warm, the Government declared that Seth's murder was the result of "a robbery gone wrong".
It later came out that in this 'robbery', his wallet, watch, and Iphone were NOT stolen.
As far as I know, no other information has been released, even after several years.
No suspects, no leads, nothing but crickets.
But the GOVERNMENT KNEW FOR CERTAIN that it was a "Robbery Gone Wrong".
I may have been bore in the Night, but it wasn't LAST NIGHT!

The good governor probably defines terrorist activity so narrowly that almost nothing meets the criteria. That's how they can make statements like this with a straight face. Still waiting them to ID the people in the car.

In my small town in southeastern Ohio there have been two severe accidents that were described as “medical emergencies “. Both resulted in deaths and involved vehicles inexplicably driving very fast and headlong into a telephone pole in one case and a building in the other. Snapped the phone pole in half about 6ft off the ground and totaled the brick building. These vehicles didn’t even try to stop and were going well over the speed limit. Stroke? Heart attack? Clot shot anyone? Anyone else see this going on in their town?

They weren't terrorists. They were simply driven crazy by climate change! They were going south to cool off.

I live less than 20 minutes from the bridge. Heard late yesterday afternoon that the occupants of the car had come from the casino. Could well have been alcohol field driving... All extra security measures were quickly dropped so I tend to believe it wasn't terrorism in this case. I still want to know the names though.

Always, before the smoke even clears they declare its not terrorism. It's just a matter of time before they claim Trump is responsible!

Information indicates that the pair, driving a Bentley, were coming from a casino and driving at a high rate of speed. The vehicle contained no explosives. I guess they didn't want to be identified as terrorists by driving a half million-dollar car.

Right. Because flaming, airborne vehicles traveling 100 MPH through border security checkpoints are common, everyday accidents. Happens all the time. Nothing to see here.

Perhaps in their next "presser" some official or even the guv herself, can explain why it was pulled over at the first security checkpoint and directed to a second checkpoint, which is where the car crashed and exploded.
Just trying to tie up some loose ends here.
