When historians review the decline of American judiciary in the 21st century, they may have difficulty evaluating the role of one of its most important figures, Chief Justice John Roberts. His responses to a multitude of challenges have been inconsistent, and at times baffling. In his 2010 State of the Union Address, President Barack Obama broke the event’s longstanding rules of decorum by hectoring the Supreme Court, six members of which were sitting right in front of him. Obama was peeved by the Court’s recent Citizens United decision, which he alleged would “open the floodgates for special interests -- including foreign corporations -- to spend without limit in our elections."

A huge 93 percent of stock market wealth in the US is held by the richest 10 percent of the population - a new record.
While Americans on the whole have been investing in the stock market at a higher rate, the amount of wealth held is still skewed toward the richest households.
According to Federal Reserve data, 92.5 percent of equities are held by the richest 10 percent of Americans - meaning it is largely the already-wealthy who are benefiting from last year's stock market boom.
President Joe Biden announced on Friday that federal student loans will be wiped out for borrowers who received less than $12,000 and have been in repayment for the past decade.
Starting in February federal loan borrowers 'who took out less than $12,000 in loans and have been in repayment for 10 years will get their remaining student debt cancelled immediately,' Biden said in a statement.

Noah Bookbinder, president and CEO of Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW), visited the White House twice in 2023, visitor logs from January to September 2023 indicate. He first visited on Jan. 6, 2023, the two-year anniversary of the 2021 Capitol riot, to watch Biden award the Presidential Citizens Medal to law enforcement officers who responded to the unrest, a CREW spokesperson told the Caller. The visitor logs appear to confirm Bookbinder’s attendance at the event.

US and UK military forces have 'successfully' completed targeted strikes in Yemen used by Houthi to attack ships in waters near the Arabian Peninsula.

Additionally, all seven women are under age 40, and six of the seven are women of color.
Anika Bowie, Saura Jost, Hwa Jeong Kim and Cheniqua Johnson became the Council's newest members. Rebecca Noecker, Mitra Jalali and Nelsie Yang all won reelection in their districts. All seven members are Democrats but ran on a nonpartisan ballot.

New woke policies, the vaccine mandates and the embrace of DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) policies mean white recruits are looked over for advancement in the US Military today.
