Washington Post associate editor and New York Times columnist freaked out on Friday’s PBS NewsHour at the news that Republicans selected Mike Johnson to be the new Speaker of the House by portraying him as a “far-right” religious extremist out to impose “Christian nationalism” on the country.
Noting Johnson’s relative obscurity, Capehart predicted, “And the more information we find out about him and the more information the American people find out about him, the more I think they're going to be uncomfortable, from his pushing for a national abortion ban, to introducing legislation for a federal so-called Don't Say Gay Bill, his comments on homosexuality and same-sex marriage.”

Further proof that many Knotseez are working at the Washington Post and New York Times. Ready to trample over you in their quest for world domination.

Christian nationalism is a wonderful, excellent thing to promote. And it is especially wonderful that PBS hates it in public, because that just proves how hideously evil, hateful and anti-American PBS is.

I take it Christian Nationalism is an object of condemnation in their book. I am a Christian (Reformed Episcopal) and a Nationalist (I love my country above all others combined and recognize the sovereignty and superiority of the USA). I guess I don’t quite measure up to the standards of PBS.
I’ll try to get over it.

This article shows that some people are so far toward hell that they feel impulsed to talk badly about God or anyhone who knows of God. The people at PBS are there ... and working to keep you away from eternal life...using tax money too.

They didn't have a problem with the "devout Catholic" dem Speaker - but then, she was pro-abortion.

This criticism is just going to grow. Nothing is worse to totalitarians than religion and a national identity.

There's a rabbi in our community who has loudly been decreeing that Christians must be feared at all costs because we want to take over the government and turn it into a theocracy. And just today post 10/07 he authored a piece in the Sunday paper extolling his wonderful friendships with local Muslim leaders and how helpful they've been to him as he seeks to understand their religion. He's even worshipped with them!! How wonderful that was!! (Oddly, no local Muslim has ever worshipped with any Jewish congregation...I wonder why.). I'm afraid this rabbi is getting snookered in a major way since he's clueless concerning who his TRUE friends are. I hope his choice of "friends" doesn't end up biting him in the butt.

Until the 1950s, nearly all Americans were "Christian nationalists." And then the country took a turn for the worst. A liberal Supreme Court banned prayer in schools, the anti-American socialists took over universities and public schools and domestic communists infiltrated our government.

Given the leftists' preferences of Marxist nationalism or Islamic nationalism, Christian nationalism sounds pretty good. And I'm not a Christian.

I think Speaker Johnson is exactly someone who is needed for our times! I also think that a Majority of Republicans have been waiting for someone exactly like him. We desperately need someone to turn this country around. We need someone who is not afraid to use common sense. I think The Speaker is just that Guy! I would love to see him slash and burn his way through this next year. Get rid of all the garbage he can. He already said he is going to take One Bill at a time, not put Two or three and bundle them together, which is Biden wants him to do, and hand out Billions to Ukraine and Israel and God know who else (I'm sure there would be a few Billion going into Biden's pocket). Johnson said no! Not going to work that way! He's off to a good start in my opinion!

This is why I contribute not one dime to my local PBS station, even though I---very selectively--- watch some of the shows. One of the most offensive left-wing shows is the NewsHour, but there is also Amanpour's and many others.

Any one have any doubts that PBS/NYT would consider the founding fathers as nationalist, far-right religious extremists?

Why do they fear Jesus Christ so much?
Jesus suffered brutal punishment, was shunned by His own people, and worse yet, was forsaken by the other two members of the Holy Trinity for 3 hours while God the Father imputed the sins of the entire world in His sinless body for judgement on a Roman Cross of crucifixion. Jesus Himself said to the Samaritan woman in John 4:14;
"but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life.”
Doesn't everyone want a drink of living water of eternal life? So why does Jesus threaten them so?
"Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved."

So maybe Speaker Johnson can start the ball rolling to stop sending tax money to PBS.

Why is there a PBS?
Why do Pubbies continue to fund it - - instead of killing it?
I'll be back in 13 minutes with the correct answers.

The fact that the left is so afraid of the Christian religion tells me that they are far, far away from God. Good luck with that.

I wouldn't use the Compost and the Democrat Times of NY to light a trash barrel fire. I've also not watched PBS since my kids stopped watching cartoons and children shows years ago. All three leftist platforms could disappear tomorrow, and I wouldn't care.
