The strike begun by the United Auto Workers last week expanded to 38 parts-distribution centers across a dozen states as the union demands higher wages as well as “economic and social justice.”
Around 13,000 auto workers had already stopped working at Ford, Stellantis and General Motors plants in Michigan, Missouri, and Ohio before additional GM and Stellantis facilities were added to the strike. No further Ford locations were impacted by the expanded strike as the UAW said it had made progress with company executives.

During a supply line crisis driving inflation i can see how some might want more money, although it will likely lead to an increase in consumer prices and the strike doesn't effect many foreign car imports, helping foreign competitors. But, the UAW is connected to organized crime and they have to fleece for money too.

I wish Trump had not said he was going, it gave Biden a heads up. I doubt Biden would have left the beach except he needs to show up Trump. MAGA

How long will each of them be on a strike location?
How many rank and file people will they meet with?
If they give anything away, will they be using their own money or the taxpayers money?
Will they say anything worthwhile?
Will they say anything to promote EVs?
?????

Who is asking for more money, the robots or the people pushing the buttons? The Owners or the Owned?

Look for more US manufacturing to close and relocate out of country, reversing the Trump era gains.
Is stupidity a requirement for union membership? I have yet to have an intelligent conversation with a pro-union member.

This lunacy makes those of us who drive Toyota, Honda and all other Asian imports look smarter every day. No parts shortages and the vehicles run forever.
Excellent point, #6. Unions exist to prop up the bottom ten percent of the work force but those at the top are not all that bright either or they would figure out that they must work harder to make the deadbeats look good even though they make the same money.
Just guessing here but I'm thinking that Donald Trump will have some real words of wisdom backed up by proven success while the head of cabbage will speak of Climate Change and windmills, preceded by a story or two about war hero, Beau.

Biden sez..."I am going to join the picket line", will he dress like Fetterman, and march for a full shift, carrying a sign?(next to a road totally blocked off from all traffic by SS Service)
Arriving by a flock of jumbo jets, leaving a carbon trail as big as the Maui fire, carrying a FLEET of 20-30 yuuuge engined SUV's, the kind he wants to BAN regular Americans from even owning/driving. Not an EV involved in any way shape or form. Surrounded by a veritable ARMY of concealed carrying "protection", with fully auto assault weapons, with multiple high capacity magazines and spares for each(that he wants to BAN regular americans from even owning Look-a-like versions of).
Trump on the other hand is going to a "Rally" of Union Members from across the trade spectrum, pointing up the fact that around 40% of regional Union Members supported Trump in the prior elections...yet their Union Leaders spent $10's of Millions supporting the Dems exclusively, with monies that could have been used to fill the deficits in the Health/Pension funds...all of which are in the Red because of woke investments, mainly in Green/Tech companies that have seriously under performed.
Biden had a campaign event in Toledo, at the UAW Union Hall, attendees were limited to around 30, had to remain in their cars/trucks, in the parking lot, with "distancing" rules in place so that none were within ten feet of each other. He had a massive stage built, with a massive backdrop, to give a 15 minute speech that attendees had to arrive 3 hours prior for. There were MORE Trump supporting Union Members gathered outside the location, by the street than inside the lot.
I was in the Carpenters Union at the time, our internal members polls had Trump ahead by 2 points of Biden, and Bernie getting around 30%, our pension fund was $14Million in the hole, yet our "Leaders" gave Biden $12Million, even after he threatened to PUNCH one of our members in the face at another event.(The Biden Center takes up an entire floor of a Carp.Union owned Building) The Gas/electric Plant I was working on had 700 union workers onsite, MORE Trump stickers on trucks/lunchpails than Biden by about 3:1. A gas Plant that could not be licensed/built under "New Biden Rules"
Surrounding these plants HOUSES cost less than the cars/trucks built there. Tiny cars and EV's are scarce in the workers lots...they all "want" to drive fullsize trucks and SUV's, just as most americans do...not tiny green things that even with massive subsidy do NOT sell.

I'm guessing the Trump team will also coordinate coffee/donuts/pizza deliveries to the various picket locations...without prior media notifications.

Well since they (UAW) are now going to strike against the parts distribution shops, if you own one of those affected motor vehicle makes, good luck if your motor vehicle breaks down and you need parts to fix it!
