WASHINGTON — Trump White House official Peter Navarro was convicted Thursday of contempt of Congress charges filed after he was accused of refusing to cooperate with a congressional investigation into the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol.
The verdict came after a short trial for Navarro, who served as a White House trade adviser under President Donald Trump and later promoted the Republican’s baseless claims of mass voter fraud in the 2020 election he lost.
Navarro was the second Trump aide to face contempt of Congress charges after former White House adviser Steve Bannon. Bannon was convicted of two counts and was sentenced to four months behind bars,

So start convicting every Democrat that refuses to appear or testify before the Republican committees! After all, we're a county of laws, no one is above the law, blah, blah, blah!

I agree with #1. But will the wimpy Republicans do anything but talk a lot and write letters?

Excellent book by Navarro, “Taking Back Trump’s America”. If the democrat jury had read it, Navarro probably would have gotten 50 years.

As soon as I see "baseless claims of mass voter fraud" I know it's a biased article. Navarro was one of Trump's most outspoken supporters, so of course he'll be convicted of this or anything else they like.

How can a government entity convict anyone of contempt when they censor free speech via social media and invite illegals to cross our border with impunity? THe citizens of this nation need to hold the government in contempt.

This was contempt against the J6 committee that destroyed all the materials and evidence they gathered?
I do agree with the article when it mentioned much of what they were asking for was already public and he could have provided that information but questioned what was executive privilege.

How could that (so-called) committee-- a catch-as-catch can of fellow travelers convened in defiance of the other party's protests after they rejected that party's nominees--claim the authority to issue any thing more than a greeting card?

So the crack asspress news organization reviewed the many incidents of irregularities in the election and determined that they were all ‘baseless.’

Either send them to prison or break them financially with attorney costs. That's how you intimidate people into not working for the Trump Administration. He has already lost good attorneys because they have been told they will no longer get clients if they continue to work for Trump. Former Gov. Huckabee is probably pretty close to right about the next election being the last on with ballots.

Why should a Republican bother with a trial in DC? Why not just concede, and go on to the appellate court, which the Democrats have also stacked. Maybe Republicans should concede to the Supreme Court, where they have a 50-50 chance.

AssPress fails to realize that contempt of Congress is a widespread condition these days. Might as well throw all of us in jail. BTW, those "baseless claims of mass voter fraud" are seeing a lot of base these days.

FTA: "a White House trade adviser under President Donald Trump and later promoted the Republican’s baseless claims of mass voter fraud in the 2020 election he lost."
Washington Times showing its LIBERAL BIAS once again. I assume only conservatives (?) like Romney, Cheney and the Bush family are treated fairly, all the rest of us are considered scum!
