New Yorkers reveal their fears over being
city’s next random crime victim: ‘Have

Mayor Eric Adams used a new TV interview to downplay a recent poll revealing New Yorkers are still terrified about crime — and blamed the media for the latest numbers. A new Siena College poll revealed that 41% of New York State residents have “never” been as concerned about their personal safety as they are now – while a shocking 87% responded that crime is a very or somewhat serious problem in New York State and New York City.

Yet…….just to demonstrate the definition of insanity, they will continue to take the same action (voting for leftism) and expect a different result. I say this to benchmark that leftism is a mental disorder.

Maybe it is because they are NOT voting. I saw a report on Newsmax recently that Pretty Boy was elected with 246,000 votes. I don't remember the number of citizens in NYC but that is a small percentage of the total. Adams couldn't mayor his way out of a wet paper bag. He's too busy being fitted for his sartorial pleasure.

Of course people are terrified. Why, because this mayor and every other democratic mayor in every democratic run city refuses to address the real problem, the elephant in the room. Every democratic run city has the same freakin problem. Connect the dots, address the elephant in the room, and this country no longer has a crime problem or a gun problem. Get it yet.

Extremely blue, criminal friendly New York has essentially outlawed all armed self defense and, apparently, any unarmed self defense that involves any kind of deadly force which threatens a criminal's life. If a criminal, even in the middle of a felonious act, shuffles off this mortal coil from, say, a defender's rear naked choke, there'll be legal hell to pay. Or is that hell toupée? The natives of the Big Apple need to start voting intelligently if they ever want us out here in the heartland to revisit. We don't want to go to modern day Baghdad or Nineteenth Century Dodge City. If common sensical Americans no longer want to come to New York anymore, how are you going to stop them? (h/t Yogi Berra)

So...the violent crime is not the problem in NYC, the REPORTING of the crime is the problem there. According to Mayor Adams. Logically, then, I see no alternative to arresting the reporters who insist on writing about the violent crime. In the woke city of NYC. Anyone choosing to live in NYC at this point deserves a Darwin Award.

I used to make regular business trips to NYC in the 70s and 80s. I always kept my head on "swivel" since elevator crimes and pick pockets were prevalent and it was important to know who was around me at any given time. One day I was waiting to cross the street at 5th and 34th when I noticed a long shadow coming along side me. Always alert, I looked up and found myself standing at the curb next to Lee Marvin. And those were the good old days in NY; pretty tame compared to today for sure. I used to love those trips...now you couldn't pay me to go there.

50+ years ago as a college student in NYC coming from a semi-rural area I quickly learned to swivel my head and scan constantly. I credit my survival to youth and apparent athleticism. The thugs prey on the weak. I witnessed people being beat up and mugged by predators. I had a part time job in the garment district and was robbed at knife point with beat cops not two blocks away. The boss told me to forget about it.

Ron DeSantis’s allies were eager to regain momentum on the eve of his presidential campaign launch in May. Supporters gleefully predicted the sheer buzz from a splashy announcement — live on Twitter — would rival Donald Trump’s 2015 ride down a golden escalator. Fundraisers were upbeat as they convened at the Four Seasons Miami, some convinced Trump’s daunting lead would shrink as DeSantis finally got in the race.  CORRECTIONS*
Election Interference: Biden DOJ Seeks

Biden’s corrupt Justice Department is seeking a December 11 trial date in Jack Smith’s classified documents case. This is brazen election interference. If Judge Aileen grants the DOJ’s request, the trial date will begin just weeks before the Iowa Republican presidential caucuses. The Iowa Caucuses are starting earlier this election cycle and will take place on January 15, 2024. Judge Cannon set the trial date for August 14 but Trump’s lawyers asked to indefinitely postpone the trial. Justice Department lawyers on Thursday filed a motion pushing back on Trump’s legal team and asked the Judge to proceed with jury selection on December 11, 2023.

House Democrats are on a crusade to destroy the reputation of whistleblowers to save President Joe Biden and to run cover for those in the Justice Department and FBI who obstructed the investigation into the Bidens’ business dealings. But Republicans are starting to fight back. Kash Patel, who served as chief of staff to the acting secretary of defense under President Trump and as the senior counsel for the House Intelligence Committee under then-Rep. Devin Nunes, launched the counteroffensive on Wednesday when his attorney filed an ethics complaint against Rep. Dan Goldman, D-N.Y., and simultaneously sent a referral to the Department of Justice.

Yoon’s office said he traveled to Ukraine with his wife, Kim Keon Hee, following trips to Lithuania for a NATO summit and to Poland. It’s his first visit since Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022. Yoon toured Bucha and Irpin, two small cities near Kyiv where bodies of civilians were found in the streets and mass graves after Russian troops retreated from the capital region last year.

Ron DeSantis said Saturday he would consider Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds as a possible vice president pick. DeSantis was quick to praise Reynolds throughout his two-day Iowa swing, drawing frequent comparisons between her leadership in Iowa and his tenure in Florida. That's not a new strategy for the DeSantis campaign — but it took on new weight this weekend, as frontrunner Donald Trump on Monday attacked Reynolds for her decision to remain neutral in the caucuses.

The House on Friday approved the annual defense policy bill in an unusually partisan vote after it was loaded up with conservative amendments, marking a big win for Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) but raising new questions about how the package — which is dead on arrival in the Senate — will eventually become law. The National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) passed in a largely party-line 219-210 vote, with four Republicans opposing the measure and four Democrats supporting it — an atypical outcome for the annual legislation which routinely enjoys broad bipartisan support.

If, like me, you find the presidential debate format a rather meaningless exercise, you will be astonished at what one-on-one interviews by a skilled interrogator can accomplish. At the Iowa family Leader conference, Tucker Carlson interviewed several leading contenders for president Tim Scott, Asa Hutchinson, Mike Pence, Nikki Haley, Vivek Ramaswamy, and Ron DeSantis. If the participants thought this was going to be another tongue bath, they were certainly surprised. He asked hard questions and some of their answers exposed their muddled thinking. At least two of them – Asa Hutchinson and Mike Pence -- were clear losers
