New York City's Conflicts of Interest Board on Thursday ordered former Mayor Bill de Blasio to pay nearly $475,000 for misuse of his New York Police Department security detail during his failed 2020 Democratic presidential campaign. (snip) "... there is no City purpose in paying for the extra expenses incurred by that NYPD security detail to travel at a distance from the City to accompany the Mayor or his family on trips for his campaign for President of the United States," the board stated in its report. The board also said it advised de Blasio "to this effect prior to his campaign" but he "disregarded" the advice.

A San Francisco teacher has been suspended for singling out and discriminating against her white male students.
Lowell High School teacher Nicole Noel Henares allegedly made the white male students in her English class stand “as a group” and answer whether they “felt like a minority” last fall, according to a letter from the San Francisco Unified School District to the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing, which was obtained by Fox News. (snip)
Students also confirmed that Henares has used inappropriate materials in her class, including the Lil Nas X song “Montero/Call Me By Your Name,” which has “sexually explicit lyrics and themes,” the district’s letter said.

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan on Friday wrote to IRS Commissioner Daniel Werfel asking that he account for a "bizarre" field visit in which an IRS agent alleged(ly) secured entry to an Ohio resident's home using a fake name and under false pretenses. (snip) Haus admitted to using an alias and later filed a complaint against the officer who called him.
The taxpayer subsequently was able to contact Haus's supervisor, who admitted the case had proceeded farther than necessary. The agency later informed the taxpayer that the case had been closed and that she owed no money on either the estate or her own filings.

Florida GOP Rep. Anna Paulina Luna said on Thursday there would be a second attempt to censure California Democrat Rep. Adam Schiff after the first try failed.
The House voted on Wednesday to kill Luna's first bill that would have censured Schiff. The vote was 225 to 196, with seven members voting present. Twenty Republicans voted alongside the Democrats to table the resolution.
Luna says that she has come to an agreement with the 20 Republicans who voted against her bill. The main difference is that the first bill called for fining Schiff up to $16 million, which is not part of the new version of the bill.

Misinformation, disinformation, and propaganda are military tools as old as war. While both sides in the Russia-Ukraine war exaggerate their battlefield gains, American taxpayers expect the United States government to calibrate those claims and report progress honestly for the $116 billion in funds donated to the war effort. (snip) We found that the Times and its propaganda press cousins it leads are so aligned with the Biden and Zelenskyy administrations that daily reporting is horrendously and deliberately inaccurate. Ukrainian gains and Russian losses are vastly exaggerated; Russian gains and Ukrainian losses are heavily minimized, even not reported.

Democratic New York City Mayor Eric Adams backtracked on his vow to house migrants in Gracie Mansion on Thursday, saying that the “symbolism” of his offer spoke volumes.
Adams said earlier in June that he’d welcome migrants into the five-room Gracie Mansion if city lawyers approved it, but backtracked Thursday during a press conference with reporters.

Christian colleges in Minnesota will be allowed to keep offering college credits to high school students — for now. On Wednesday, the Minnesota District Court issued an injunction prohibiting the enforcement of an amendment that greenlights discrimination against religious students.
Under Minnesota’s 1985 Post Secondary Enrollment Options (PSEO) program, capable students can earn free college credits at local institutions of higher education while they are still in high school. (snip)
An amendment passed during the 2023 legislative session, however, removed religious colleges from the program by prohibiting these postsecondary schools from requiring a statement of faith from students.

Democrat presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. said in a recent interview that if elected president of the United States, he would have to “be careful” given the CIA’s alleged involvement in the assassination of his uncle, the late President John F. Kennedy.
When asked by podcast host and comedian Joe Rogan if he was concerned that the CIA could try to take him out too, Kennedy replied, “Well, I gotta be careful. I’m aware of that, you know, I’m aware of that danger. I don’t live in fear of it at all.” He added: “But I’m not stupid about it, and I take precautions.”

It sure seems a reflection of where the nation is spiritually that none of three contestants on a recent episode of “Jeopardy” could name a word from the opening of the Lord’s Prayer.
Host Mayim Bialik said to the contestants, “Matthew 6:9 says, ‘Our Father, which art in heaven,’ this ‘be thy name.”
So the correct response was, “What is hallowed?” but no one got it. Wow!

During an interview with "System Update" host Glenn Greenwald, Democratic Presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy explained how his view of "Russiagate" changed after reading the Durham report. (snip) "The first time that I had any kind of inkling that that narrative may not be completely accurate was when I was having dinner with Oliver Stone, and Oliver Stone lives about a half a mile from where I live (snip) I don't know how it came up, maybe one of us mentioned it, but he scoffed in a way that was very dismissive and had a sort of brief monologue about how there was nothing to that story."

The Department of Defense (DOD) created a Pride-themed coloring book for military kids amid a cross-military service push to celebrate Pride month. (snip) The activity booklet is geared toward younger audiences, according to DOD’s Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute (DEOMI), which is noted on the final page as having published the book, and was promoted to children by other DOD entities, the Daily Caller News Foundation found.
The coloring book, dated in June, appears to be among various training and awareness materials the Pentagon created to aid Pride observances, which are featured on the dedicated DEOMI webpage.
