America's first black president took aim at black Republican senator Tim Scott for saying his party was 'doing a fabulous job of making progress.'
Scott launched his run for president last month on an optimistic platform and has put his own story of struggle at the center of his campaign, with a philosophy that suggests everyone can succeed if they want to.
But former President Barack Obama said in a podcast released on Thursday that it was time for the Republican Party to get real about how systemic racism shaped the nation's history.

Twenty House Republicans joined with Democrats to table a resolution that would have censured and fined Democratic California Rep. Adam Schiff.
The resolution, introduced by Republican Florida Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, asserts that Schiff “purposely deceived his Committee, Congress, and the American people” during the special counsel investigation into former President Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign. It would have fined him $16 million, half the special counsel investigation’s cost.

In an example of not only putting the cart before the horse but putting it a couple of blocks down the road, ABC host Whoopi Goldberg spent part of Thursday’s edition of The View calling for a constitutional amendment that would bar former President Trump from being president again if he was sent to prison and still won the 2024 election. That was apparently one of the “strange thoughts” she admitted to having lately.
Amid their conversation about Trump’s documents indictment and how it could play out in the elections and beyond, Goldberg shared that she’s been growing increasingly scared of Trump becoming president again

The Department of Defense (DOD) created a Pride-themed coloring book for military kids amid a cross-military service push to celebrate Pride month. (snip) The activity booklet is geared toward younger audiences, according to DOD’s Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute (DEOMI), which is noted on the final page as having published the book, and was promoted to children by other DOD entities, the Daily Caller News Foundation found.
The coloring book, dated in June, appears to be among various training and awareness materials the Pentagon created to aid Pride observances, which are featured on the dedicated DEOMI webpage.

Paul F. Ryan declared on Black Tuesday that the federal indictment of former president Trump makes Trump unelectable in 2024.
I hasten to put this backstabbing comment into context. Last November, Ryan predicted that Mr. Trump would lose the 2024 presidential election. Earlier this year, Ryan announced that if the former president is the Republican candidate in 2024, he will not go to the party's convention, to be held in Milwaukee, this July. Ryan is from Wisconsin.
It should also be noted that in October 2016, Ryan declared that he will not campaign for, nor defend, Mr. Trump, then the GOP presidential candidate.

Ajay Banga, the Biden-appointed president of the World Bank, promised to “push” the financial institution to its limits to combat climate change in an interview with Reuters late Tuesday.
While Banga said he would not take any actions that would threaten the global financier’s “AAA” credit rating, he said that he would leverage the bank’s balance sheet “as hard as you can” to address climate issues, Reuters reported. Members of the Biden administration, notably including Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen and President Joe Biden himself, and climate activists have — at times over the objections of developing nations — called for Banga to shift the bank’s focus from combating poverty to additionally

Melania Trump stepped out of Trump Tower in NYC Wednesday in style ahead of her husband Donald Trump’s birthday bash.
The former First Lady left the skyscraper wearing an off-white Gucci flared shirt dress ($3,200) paired with a matching white Hermès handbag.
She styled her hair down with a soft wave, finishing off the look with a pair of sunglasses.
Melania and the former president’s son, Barron, followed behind her in a blue blazer and white button-down shirt outside the building.

The House of Representatives on Wednesday voted against the idea of censuring and condemning Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., for insisting that former President Donald Trump colluded with Russia to win the 2016 election.
In a 225-196 vote, lawmakers decided to set aside the censure resolution against Schiff, effectively killing it and preventing a vote on passage. The resolution, introduced by Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, R-Fla., was opposed by 20 Republicans as two other GOP lawmakers voted "present" along with five Democrats.
The resolution was known to be on shaky ground with some Republicans. One expected "no" vote, Rep. Tom Massie, R-Ky., said he opposed the idea of a fine against Schiff

Scientists have stunned the world by revealing the creation of synthetic human embryos in a lab without eggs or sperm.
The breakthrough, by Cambridge University and California Institute of Technology experts, could soon provide insights into miscarriages and genetic disorders.
However, synthetic embryos are not covered by laws in the UK or in most countries around the world – and come with serious ethical and legal issues. Scientists who were not involved in the achievement have now shared their concerns about the technology, with one calling it 'chilling'.

On Tuesday before his arraignment by his political rival Joe Biden, President Trump posted on Truth Social this stunning remark:
President Trump: THE GRAND JURY WAS NEVER TOLD ABOUT THE PRESIDENTIAL RECORDS ACT OR THE CLINTON SOCKS CASE, BOTH EXONERATING!(Snip) On Wednesday morning The Gateway Pundit spoke with two attorneys who gave us the same explanation. Jack Smith did not tell the Grand Jury about the Presidential Records Act or the Clinton Socks Case because he didn’t have to.

Conservative radio host Clay Travis called former Vice President Mike Pence "pretty disrespectful" to his old boss in a tense interview Wednesday about whether the Republican presidential candidate would pardon Donald Trump if elected president.
Travis, who along with co-host Buck Sexton has said the federal prosecution of Trump for mishandling classified documents is politicized, challenged Pence to directly answer if he would pardon Trump as a matter of principle.
"These are serious charges," Pence said. "I can't defend what's been alleged, but the president does deserve to make his defense."

Middle schoolers in Massachusetts were accused of “intolerance and homophobia” after they reportedly revolted against a Pride celebration at the school and chanted that their pronouns were “USA.”
Some students at Marshall Simonds Middle School in Burlington were accused of organizing a protest against a school-approved spirit day celebrating Pride Month, which encouraged students to wear rainbow colors, earlier this month. The event was led by the Spectrum Club, an LGBT club for students and “allies.” In response, some students reportedly wore only red, white, and blue colored clothing and chanted, “U.S.A. are my pronouns,” and took down LGBT-themed banners and stickers.
