3M is laying off 1,100 employees from its corporate headquarters in Maplewood, Minnesota. In a WARN notice to the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development, 3M said the permanent job cuts will begin on June 30. The headline figure of 1,100 employees is more than the 600 the company told Bring Me The News it would be laying off at its HQ in a statement on April 25.
