Hundreds of professors at the University of North Carolina signed a public letter Tuesday opposing legislation that would require university students to take courses on America's government and founding documents. The 673 UNC Chapel Hill professors revealed the public letter Tuesday, arguing the new courses and another bill in the North Carolina House of Representatives would constitute an infringement on the university's "academic freedom." The first piece of legislation, House Bill 96, would require students to take a 3 credit-hour course covering America's founding and history. Required reading for the course would include the U.S. Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, the Emancipation Proclamation,

This is more evidence of how far our nation's colleges and universities have devolved under ultra-"progressive" "professors." Instead of being institutions of higher learning, where diverse ideas are examined and debated, they have become liberal echo chambers parroting the latest liberal / social justice propaganda without much critical examination. I don't think that many university degrees these days are worth the paper that they're printed on . . .

On September 18, 1787, on the last day of the Constitutional convention, a lady asked Benjamin Franklin whether the convention had agreed upon a republic or a monarchy and the Good Doctor was alleged to have replied, "A republic, if you can keep it.” Welcome to the new era of American monarchy, Biden style.

I tried to absorb the number of "professors" signing on to a petition/letter stating that position. It's mind-boggling there are that many professors even having that position. I still struggle to imagine having that many "professors" in one school, period. That's massive enough to develop its own weather systems and produce artificial realities completely divorced from reason and truth.

I can assure you these same "professors" use their state provided computers, equipment, cell phones, etc... for political purposes, and on school time. I would also think that is the case at most colleges and universities, and those records could be found with FOIA requests to show how much they all misuse funds, and coordinate political activities while they are supposed to be working. Had to take a government class in college as part of graduation in California (not sure it's still required, however as it was over 30 years ago).

These six hundred seventy-three academics don't belong anywhere in American education--hard manual labor would be more appropriate for them--and should move to a place better suited to their political philosophy: China. Higher education, now indoctrination in most places, has devolved into chaos and ideological rodomontade. Major universities, even ones with enormous endowments, are soon going to be unnecessary institutions teaching socialism and intolerance, draining students and staff, before locking their doors for the last time. They did it to themselves. Leftism destroys whatever it touches.

Right now, Joe Biden’s biggest enemy in the 2024 election is Joe Biden. Vice President Kamala Harris may turn out to be the most consequential vice president in modern history in the upcoming 2024 election, as Republicans seek to pair Harris' unpopularity with President Biden's old age in their pitch to voters. Harris is an unpopular vice president. Like her running mate, President Biden, has ridden the low 40s in most approval polls as of late. In fact, across approval rating polls, Harris hasn't gone out of the 40s in her approval rating since her first year in office in 2021. Not only has President Biden refused to refer to her as a grandchild or even include a Christmas stocking with the other children, her father Hunter is fighting to prevent her from using the Biden name. Indeed, the only reason that Hunter is coming to the same state with his daughter is to seek to limit his child support.
