Bed Bath & Beyond (BBBY) filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on Sunday after a years-long decline in sales doomed the home goods retailer. In a statement on Sunday, the company said its Bed Bath & Beyond and buybuy BABY stores will remain open "as the Company begins its efforts to effectuate the closure of its retail locations." Sixth Street will provide the company with $240 million in debtor-in-possession financing, which will allow the company to continue operations during its wind-down process. They were once a very successful brand, as I used to own their stock. The CEO's fascination with Jeffrey Epstein didn't help, and neither did some of the decisions made lately.

Their Store was always crowded in Fl. Then they decided to "revamp" and turned the store upside down! They also thought it was a good idea to do away with the five Cashiers and instead have a "Cattle Shoot" to push Buyers down towards One or Two Cashiers. Lines were 15 or 20 people long (all with their Shopping cart full). I never went back after that! Don't like being treated like Cattle! So, if the Powers that Be who thought the Change was a good idea are now trying to talk their way out of being fired, Fire them anyway! When you have a good thing going for you, don't change it just because some 20 Something Marketing Person says it's a good idea!! Lesson Learned!

I know nothing of this company’s recent history. Echoing #2, once upon a time it had a strong business model tapping into a real market it understood. It is sad to see such devastation. But it is certainly a natural process. Whether this company committed suicide by woke or something else, it is unfortunate to see value destroyed. The modern Dim understands nothing about value. Just looting, whether on the streets or in the halls of congress and the White House.

I used to shop there frequently until they took MyPillow products out of their stores. It's not that I'm a big fan of MyPillow, it's that I'm adamantly opposed to corporations making their marketing decisions based on politics. It's a truism of business that you need to know your customers. BB&B didn't know me. Budweiser just learned the same hard lesson. I pray the auto companies pushing EVs will learn it as well. Give the customers what they want, not what your woke brain THINKS they should want.

My very first My Pillow (which I still use, along with the other ten, plus all the Giza sheets and towels I bought subsequently) came from BBBY eleven years ago. When management decided to end the store's association with My Pillow, I decided to end my association with BBBY. Later on, I just bought directly from Mike Lindell, whose products are all excellent. BBBY went woke, and now they're broke. I'm sure they're nevertheless pleased with themselves for the virtue signaling they did. They kept their dignity ... NOT! So long, farewell, auf wiedersehen, good night.

Like others here, I used to go to BBY all the time, and always found what I was looking for plus more - towels, sheets, comforters, bedspreads, pillows, cookware, coffee makers, knives, rugs, you name it. I frequently checked out with a full basket. A few years back, the store changed - I couldn't find the things I wanted, and sometimes walked out empty-handed. The final straw came the day I went to the local store at 10 a.m. on a weekday, to look for a standing fan, only to find the store closed until 11. I walked next door to Lowe's, found the fan I wanted, and never went back to BBY.

Very telling that Yahoo News (Leftist news) did not mention the true reason why Bed Bath and Beyond is sailing into the great beyond. Not one mention of conservatives dumping them because they dropped My Pillow. Go woke go broke. Let's continue taking down other leftist idiot companies. The businesses and sports teams and Hollywood should leave politics out of their business plan. They were big jumbles of tired-looking overpriced stuff. The last straw for me was their refusal to honor OXO’s lifetime warranty on its kitchen tools, although as major stockers of OXO they were supposed to do so. “Too much trouble”… We then bought our coffeemaker at Best Buy and were given the 20% discount we’d have gotten at BB&B.

I used to shop at BBBY several times a month. They carried some quality stuff at decent prices. But then they decided they were too woke for "MyPillow" stuff. I lost interest. I have shopped there maybe twice in the last 3 or 4 years -- only because I needed something that day and they were the only ones who had it. I'm guessing I'm not alone in not having much use for them anymore. Make stupid immorally woke business decisions, go bankrupt!!! Don't even feel a tiny bit sad for them!!!

My dentist office relocated near the Bed Bath and Beyond store that My wife and I bought a few items years ago. This is before they went political and dropped MyPillow products. Now that store is going out of business with prices being slashed down to 40%. I still won't waste my money and that section of the shopping center will eventually be further emptied as they still haven't replaced the section that had HH Gregg and Farm Fresh. Not being able to renovate, making changes to your business model and going politically woke will be a killer for brick and mortar stores now. So sad for BB&BY that they didn't get that.

The governor seemed to be swearing that if given the opportunity, he would fill a glaring Senate void and make sure there was at least one Black woman member of America’s most prestigious and powerful legislative body. Some 41 percent of U.S. adults would not buy an electric car, according to an April 12 Gallup poll of a random sample of 1,009 people. This, if extrapolated to the wider population, would represent around 106 million Americans who are against a key plank of Joe Biden's vision of a green economy. While this comprises a sizeable minority, the survey, conducted between March 1-23, found that a majority of 55 percent either currently own or were considering owning an electric vehicle (EV). Those against buying an EV tended to be older, and 71 percent of those who identified as
