The worst security breach in many years occurred earlier this year, as top secret documents apparently taken from a high-level intelligence briefing were posted on a sort of group chat and went viral from there. Scott wrote about it here. There have been international repercussions, as several foreign governments, including Israel’s, have denied the accuracy of some of the claims made in the briefing.
So who was the leaker who had access to this top secret briefing? Apparently it was a 21-year-old Massachusetts Air National Guardsman named Jack Teixeira. So many people–including me–are asking, how in the world did this kid have access to a top-secret intelligence briefing?

Step aside, YouTube; Rumble has just scored exclusive streaming rights for the first Republican 2024 presidential primary debate. Looks like establishment YouTube’s left-wing bias and trigger-happy censorship policies are catching up with the platform in the form of lost market share. “Rumble, the video-sharing platform (NASDAQ: RUM), announced today that it has entered a partnership with the Republican National Committee (RNC) to be the exclusive live stream provider for the first debate of the Republican presidential primaries,” announced the video platform in a Wednesday press release. “The debate will be held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in August 2023, and will be hosted and broadcast on cable television by Fox News

The Republican-controlled Florida legislature passed a bill on Thursday that would ban abortions beyond six weeks of pregnancy.
“We have the opportunity to lead the national debate about the importance of protecting life and giving every child the opportunity to be born and find his or her purpose,” Jenna Persons-Mulicka, a Republican state representative that helped pass the House version of the bill, told the Associated Press.
The bill overhauls Florida’s existing abortion ban beyond 15 weeks of pregnancy; it provides exceptions in cases involving rape, incest, or threat to a mother’s life.

SAN FRANCISCO — Tech mogul Bob Lee was murdered in San Francisco by someone he knew, police and prosecutors said at a news conference Thursday.
Lee, 43, was stabbed to death on April 4 by 38-year-old Nima Momeni, Police Chief Bill Scott told reporters. Momeni was arrested at his home in Emeryville early Thursday morning and booked into jail on one count of murder. Momeni is the owner of Expand IT, a Bay Area technology and security company, according to a LinkedIn profile.
“We can confirm that Mr. Lee and Mr. Momeni knew each other,” Chief Scott said. “Most people who commit homicides know the people who they kill.

The Washington Commanders have an agreement in principle in place for Josh Harris and his group to purchase the franchise for $6 billion, a source confirmed to CBS Sports. The deal will set an NFL record for the most expensive sale in league history.
The previous record of $4.65 billion was set last year by the Walton-Penner group when it purchased the Denver Broncos.
Any sale of the team would have to be approved by three-quarters of NFL ownership. Owners plan to convene in May for a regularly scheduled spring meeting, where a vote on final approval could take place. Harris' previous bid for the Denver Broncos means the league is familiar

Tennessee house Democrat Justin Jones, who was just reinstated to the chamber after being expelled for leading a disruptive gun-control protest on the floor, assaulted a driver and faced serious charges for other misconduct committed while attending racial-justice protests in the summer of 2020.
Footage of rioting outside the state Capitol in 2020 first shared by Scoop Nashville appears to show Jones repeatedly hitting the driver of a car with a traffic cone. The video, which was resurfaced by the Post Millenial, shows Jones and other activists stopping and surrounding the vehicle before the driver escaped.

BOSTON - Jack Teixeira, a member of the Massachusetts Air National Guard, has been identified as the suspect who allegedly leaked classified U.S. intelligence documents online, according to CBS News.
Teixeira is an Airman 1st Class in the Guard's 102nd Intelligence Wing, according to the organization's Facebook page. He was first identified Thursday by the New York Times as the "leader of a small online gaming chat group" named "Thug Shaker Central," that's allegedly responsible for leaking the documents.
According to Associated Press sources, the FBI wants to question him in the leak of the highly classified military documents on the war in Ukraine.

A trove of leaked Pentagon documents were circulating online for months without being discovered by the U.S. government — raising questions about how the administration missed them.
Images of the classified documents that circulated on social media in recent days were posted to a popular messaging website as far back as January. But they appear to have only caught the government’s attention around the time they were first reported in the media in early April. “No one in the U.S. government knew they were out there,” one U.S. official said. As to why they didn’t: “We cannot answer that just yet,”

Sen. Tim Scott of South Carolina launched an exploratory committee for a 2024 presidential campaign on Wednesday, taking a major step toward a Republican primary arena that former President Donald Trump has dominated so far.
"This is personal to me," Scott, 57, said in a video announcing the committee. "I will never back down in defense of the conservative values that makes America exceptional. And that's why I'm announcing my exploratory committee for president of the United States." Scott's move toward a White House run puts him on track to collide with fellow South Carolina Republican Nikki Haley, the former governor and United Nations ambassador who launched

On Wednesday’s broadcast of CNBC’s “Squawk Box,” Berkshire Hathaway Chairman and CEO Warren Buffett responded to a question on the causes of inflation by stating that “It’s fun sending money out to people if you want to stay in office” and when you just give away money, “something’s going to happen. You’re not going to have more goods and services produced immediately that can sop up that money.”
Co-host Joe Kernen asked, “What I was trying to figure out, Warren, is, in your long life, where you’ve seen a lot of different business cycles and you’ve seen hyperinflation and you’ve seen secular disinflation last forever,

We keep seeing Joe Biden deteriorating right in front of us.
He wasn’t a shining light to start with, even years ago, but he just keeps getting worse.
That became readily apparent in Northern Ireland on Wednesday. Confusion and disaster seem to follow him wherever he goes, and it permeates the operations of all his people as well.
Biden is visiting the country to commemorate the Good Friday Agreement — a peace deal that the U.S. was instrumental in helping to broker. Biden brought along his son, Hunter, who has been under investigation for years regarding Biden family foreign business dealings. Is that a vacation and are they reimbursing the government for that?

Elon Musk participated in an interview on Tuesday evening and ended up taking ownership of the BBC by the time it was over. In an epic exchange, the billionaire worked over James Clayton, a reporter from the British network, after he attempted to push claims about “hate speech” and COVID labeling on Twitter.

The clip is about four minutes long, and it’s worth the listen. I’ll transcribe a few of the highlights, but again, you really need to listen to the entire thing to get the full impact. Musk employs a strategy
