Alissa Heinerscheid, the Vice President of Marketing for the Bud Light brand, part of the Belgian InBev global brewing empire, is featured in a Twitter video (hat tip: Steven Hayward of Powerline) explaining her approach to convincing enough customers to drink her product. Although the hiring of Dylan Mulvaney as a spokesfigure (is that really a word?) is not mentioned, the move is implicitly part of the strategy she outlines, which is in essence, to forget about the existing customers, who are “fratty and out of touch,” and instead acquire new, younger customers, presumably the products of the indoctrination factories we call public schools and universities.

I am not in beer marketing or sales but I can guaranty more " real men" consume the product than the feminized consumers she seeks to attract with virtue signalling.

We all knew this before we even read the article. These woke fools believe the spoon-fed crap they are fed. It's wrong to celebrate a guy who thinks he is a young girl. Its Wrong. If this is the path Bud thinks it needs to go, we're out. I'm so tired of this.

As an Ldotter noted several years back when JC Penny tried this “ the gay men I know wouldn’t go within a mile of the place and the lesbians I know go to Tractor Supply “. It’s true with Budweiser to.

So instead of their chardonnays and soy lattes, they are going to order a Bud Light.
Good luck with that.

I drank Bud Light. Past tense. Will not touch InBev products again. First, they ruined Michelob - it tastes like soy beer. Since I had to change my diet I went to Michelob Ultra which they also ruined (now with Agave!!). So I went to Bud Light for the last few years. No more.
Now giving Yuengling Flight a try - so far, so good. 95 calories, 2.6 carbs - tastes pretty good for an ultra-light beer. And no fake tranny spokes-creature...

Women (XX) types will not buy Bud because that spokesperson represents the destruction of women's sports. Men won't becasue they will find the XX impersonator a joke.

Her marketing is indeed directed to those who don't currently drink beer. But does she think those of us who do - and have made InBev hugely successful - are about to drop dead any time soon? It is almost not possible to boycott all of InBev's products but she wrote me off and I shall return the favor. Bye bye Bud Light.

I can guarantee some transsexual pretend woman won't bring in millions of new drinkers to Bud Light. It may have been a declining product, but she's just push the decline into overdrive.

Not a marketing executive. However, as I stand in line at grocery stores or convinces stores I have noticed that, with rare exception, the customers buying Bud light are men. Young, middle age and older men. Not women, homosexuals, or trannies. I have noticed, as i have daughters, that rarely do my daughters or their friends drink Bud lite. Usually its some kinda of seltzer product. Using a tranny to attract men and women isn't really reaching any target customer base. But then again, I just observe real people in the real world. I don't have all kinds of fancy marketing data to use in marketing decisions.

Stella Argo is is owned by InBev, same company that owns AB. If you have to drink a Belgian Beer, Kristel Allen is the better beer. Stella is nothing more than Belgian Budweiser-crappy beer.

There are many, many companies that look down on and then ignore their loyal customers. When was the last time your digital service company offered any kind of incentive (other than the "tell a friend" discount) to established customers?

If Bud Light wanted to build the brand's appeal, they should have focused on improving the taste of the product. Once they mastered that, the marketing department's focus should be on attracting real men and women, they do still exist and they vastly outnumber the nutters in this world.

Yeah, I noticed those hands too. She's like that girlfriend Seinfeld had to stop seeing because he was repulsed by her sausage fingers and ham hands. But this one went even further by using George Costanza's brilliant strategy of saying/doing the OPPOSITE of what one should say/do in any given situation.

Alissa Heinerscheid flushed Anheuser-Busch's bottom line down the circular drain. Wharton School and Harvard should be proud of her. Well taught. BTW, she evidently has no idea how to positively influence a product's brand. She just boiled the Bud Light frogs in their own lily pond. RIP froggies. RIP.

Mt. Dylan Mulvaney was the hill the venerated Budweiser chose to die upon. This bubblehead marketing genius led corporate right into the iceberg.
Coors, meanwhile, continues to thank the gods for this manna from Heaven falling into its lap.

I watched Dylan's video in the bathtub with bubble bath and cans of B.L. Really turned off, almost couldn't finish watching.
While B.L. never appealed to me I do like regular Bud. But, if that is what "they" think of me as a customer InBev saw the last $$ I'll ever spend on any of their products, bye, not buy.
