During an interview with Bloomberg on Thursday, John Kirby argued that Xi Jinping’s visit to Moscow to meet with Vladimir Putin is “a manifestation of how much China and Russia know that American leadership on the world stage is back” and that there is “a marriage of convenience, certainly not one of affection” between the two.
Kirby said, “I think, first of all, calling this an alliance is a bit of a stretch. I refer to it as a marriage of convenience, certainly not one of affection. President Xi sees in President Putin a useful foil and a counterweight to American influence, particularly in Europe.

Oil companies have come under increasing legal scrutiny and face allegations of defrauding investors, racketeering, and a wave of other lawsuits. But a new paper argues there’s another way to hold big oil accountable for climate damage: trying companies for homicide.
The striking and seemingly radical legal theory is laid out in a paper accepted for publication in the Harvard Environmental Law Review. In it, the authors argue fossil fuel companies “have not simply been lying to the public, they have been killing members of the public at an accelerating rate, and prosecutors should bring that crime to the public’s attention”.

Emergency teams are responding to reports of a package containing a suspicious powder mailed to Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg's office.
The New York Police Department said an envelope addressed to 'Alvin' was delivered by USPS on Friday. The powder was found in the envelope and the note: 'Alvin - I'm gonna kill you,' according to Fox News.
The suspicious mail comes as Bragg is mounting a case to potentially indict former President Trump over hush money payments to Stormy Daniels in 2016.

President Joe Biden is reportedly frustrated at Vice President Kamala Harris for not "rising to the occasion" as his second-in-command, according to a recent report from Reuters.
The bombshell story from Reuters included comments from high-ranking officials in the Biden administration who revealed some of president's candid opinions about Harris.
"If he did not think she was capable, he would not have picked her," one former Biden official told Reuters.
"But it is a question of consistently rising to the occasion," the official said.

Political correctness and woke virtues are like neatly-laid pavers, creating a path that can only lead to tragedy and death; news broke today that a young man named Kyle, who was obviously suffering tremendously from debilitating mental illness, has killed himself.
But Kyle’s heartbreaking story has some rather concerning and extenuating circumstances:
Kyle had abandoned his birth name and instead, was living as Kayleigh Scott…he was “transgender.”
More than that though, Kyle was a poster child for the “trans” movement and corporate “inclusion” policies like DIE. In 2020 United Airlines celebrated “Kayleigh” in a woke public relations campaign video:

Recruitment in our newly woke military is down across every division and the leaders of our armed forces don’t know why or are pretending not to know why.
The reasons are obvious to millions of average of Americans, some who served and even those who did not.
The people who would normally enlist have been demonized by the woke left which the military now celebrates. The COVID vaccine mandates are also playing a role.

The Chevrolet Camaro, for decades the dream car of many teenage American males, is going out of production.
General Motors, which sells the brawny muscle car, said Wednesday it will stop making the current generation early next year.
The future of the car, which is raced on NASCAR and other circuits, is a bit murky. GM says another generation may be in the works.'While we are not announcing an immediate successor today, rest assured, this is not the end of Camaro's story,'

Donald Trump on Friday threatened “death and destruction” if he’s criminally charged in New York — writing the shocking social media warning after posting an image of himself holding a baseball bat next to Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s head. [Snip] Trump shared the image of himself holding a baseball bat — with Bragg’s hands up — on his Truth Social platform Thursday as he devoted his day to attacking the prosecutor for pursuing a case over the “hush money” payout to porn star Stormy Daniels. The bat image was pulled from an article that he shared but was not removed.

Reports have surfaced that President Joe Biden is disappointed with Vice President Kamala Harris’ performance as his second-in-command, with comments from top officials within the Biden administration revealing some of the President’s candid views on Harris.

It appears that Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg will go another week in the legal effort to locate the nation of Kailasa on a map.
Recently, Mayor Ras Baraka and the city of Newark held a formal ceremony signing a partnership with the nation of Kailasa that pledged mutual cultural, social and political development. After all of the fanfare, pomp and circumstance subsided, a small problem emerged. Kailasa does not exist.

Is Mike Pence getting ready to announce a presidential campaign? That’s the word on the street, and reporters are now digging into what that would look like and just how much support the former vice president would enjoy. On that front, The Atlantic tried to get some answers, and in doing so, they stumbled upon an embarrassing revelation. (Tweet) The article is based on a focus group of Republican voters, some Trump supporters and some not. What it found was that not a single participant was supportive of Pence running for president. Further, out of the entire group, only four said they would even consider it.

U.S. House Rep. Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., was criticized by conservatives on social media Thursday after she alleged that the Republican-sponsored Parents Bill of Rights being considered in Congress is "fascist." The bill seeks to strengthen parents' knowledge of and involvement in their children's education. House Speaker Kevin McCarthy described the purpose of the bill as follows: "The Parents Bill of Rights has 5 pillars to ensure parents have the right to have a voice in their kids’ education: Right to know what’s being taught in schools and to see reading material; Right to be heard; Right to see school budget and spending; Right to protect their child’s privacy; [and]
