The International Criminal Court (ICC) on Friday issued an arrest warrant for Russian President Vladimir Putin and another Russian official involving allegations of war crimes around the unlawful deportation of children from Ukraine to Russia.
The arrest warrant is thought to mark one of the first charges against Putin for war crimes in Ukraine, part of a global effort to hold the Russian president and the Russian Federation accountable for atrocities beginning with the full-scale February 2022 invasion.

This is why the ICC (and most other "international" bodies) is a joke.
My guess is that Putin was rolling on the floor laughing when he heard about this, the same way he does every time Senile Joe bidet makes an impotent threat against him.
This war is not Russia vs. Ukraine. This is a world war of the western nations against Russia, using Ukraine as a proxy. So every day, more and more of Ukraine's infrastructure is destroyed, Ukrainians and Russian soldiers are killed and maimed, and more and more innocent Ukrainian civilians are killed and maimed and made homeless, all so that this war can go on endlessly!!! All this while the international arms dealers grow richer by the minute, and the real problems in this world are totally ignored and allowed to fester.
While at the same time, we are one errant missile strike in the wrong place, or one downed aircraft, away from this becoming WW-III -- where it will no longer be a proxy war, but our young men (and sadly our young women too) will be sent to kill and die for a war that was never any of our business getting involved with in the first place!!!!!!!
There are no "good guys" in this war. Putin is evil. The leaders of Ukraine are evil. Senile Joe bidet is evil. And the list goes on and on.
God, I miss when we had the actual leader of the free world in Donald Trump -- where this sort of insanity would have never happened!!!!!!!!

How many troops does the ICC have?
I remember when the ICC was the Interstate Commerce Commission. They had no troops, either.

Can the same process be used against Mexican and Central American officials
for the "unlawful" deportation of their citizens?

A warrant may not be enough to scare Putin and one can only hope that it is accompanied by a strongly worded letter from whoever is the head of the ICC. It must contain such currently shocking phrases as: “your disgusting behavior”, “we are outraged”, “we think you may be psychopath or sociopath or a Christian”, “you have made Ukraine feel unsafe for minorities, especially black and Hispanic people and trans people” and “you are guilty of white supremacy.”

I think they are missing a key point. First you win the war and by win, I mean getting an unconditional surrender by the Russians before you start prosecuting their leaders for war crimes.

Let me know when they attempt an arrest. Because I will need copious amounts of popcorn to watch those fireworks.

#3, I’m with you. I really miss having a President who actually believes that the best interests of the country should be his number one priority. At least, we could sleep at night knowing he was on the job. Now, each morning I wake up, and wonder what’s going to happen today.

Putin was planning to attend the upcoming G20 meeting. This warrant is certainly “unusual” timing.

The International Criminal Court should send an aircraft loaded with their Marshals immediately to Moscow and arrest Putin at his office in the Kremlin. Since they know where Putin resides and works they should get cracking!

Just in time...XI will negotiate a peace settlement and take credit for stopping the war...and one of the terms will be ...no criminal indictments to secure the deal...that's why he's visiting Ukraine the day after he leaves Moscow...all Ukraine children taken to Russia will be released back home to their families...and ole Joe will have an ice cream cone to celebrate XI's success....
