Watch: Biden FAA Nominee Can't Answer
a Single Question About Aviation from
Republican Senator

When it came to picking his Secretary of Transportation, President Joe Biden picked Pete Buttigieg, a man whose resume included 1) overperforming in a handful of presidential primaries and 2) being the mayor of the 335th-largest city in the United States of America. This, apparently, qualifies one to lead the way when it comes to the nation’s transportation and infrastructure needs. And if that’s the guy heading the DOT, wait until you see who’s getting picked to be his underlings. Phil Washington, once the CEO of Denver International Airport, is President Joe Biden’s choice to lead the Federal Aviation Administration — you know, the agency charged with making sure planes

Comments:

The video of Sen. Ted Budd questioning FAA nominee Phil Washington is amazing. Washington doesn't know anything he needs to know to function in that job. But he checks a box, and that's good enough for FJB.

Of course Phil Washington doesn't know squat about aviation, but he checks one of Joey Baby's identity boxes. That's all that counts - identity, not competency. Welcome to equity in identity boxes.

Is anyone really surprised that a nominee for a high position in the Biteme administration knows absolutely nothing regarding the position. Not one single person appointed by Biteme who is supposedly running a government agency knows anything about that agency's job. Not one.

Anyone who has been paying attention since Biden assumed the Presidency should know by now that it does not matter to Biden, his White House politburo, or the leftist and socialist Democrats if any Biden appointees or nominees are competent to hold any high government office. What really matters to them is that the appointee or nominee fits within the minority group categories of Democrat identity politics and supports the leftist and socialist Democrat political agenda.

A bit of reality, please. He's being considered to run the FAA, not control air traffic. Similarly, I wouldn't expect the CEO of my company to know how to solder a circuit card. That being said, anyone aspiring to such a position should have at least a basic familiarity of what the organization does - he was so clueless and ignorant that he couldn't even skate around a question. I used to think Sam Brinton the baggage thief was Biteme's worst hire (technically not Biteme's choice, but the choice of one of his choices, so it counts). I've changed my mind. Phil Washington is worse. Ted Cruz nailed it when he told Washington that “You are in charge of coffee shops, clothing stores and newsstands,” but not pilots, aircraft mechanics or air traffic controllers."

The FAA's first administrator in 1958, Elwood Quesada, was a very aviation-savvy former Air Force Lieutenant General. The model of the FAA being led by capable aviators and aviation-related administrators held for many years. When I first joined the agency in the late 1990s, my direct superiors were a former Navy Captain F-8 fighter pilot, and a retired Air Force Colonel who had been a B-52 driver, and a retired Navy Rear Admiral. The majority of FAA administrators since 1958, were retired general officers from all branches of our military, as military aviation is a significant part of the National Aerospace System (NAS), regulated by the FAA. Several former FAA administrators had thousands of hours of commercial airliner pilot-in-command flying experience and quickly adapted to the requirements of the administrator position. Bill Clinton broke the mold by selecting Jane Garvey; however she had been the administrator of BOS Logan Airport, so she was not a worthless AA token, as she knew the value of government-industry partnerships versus a punitive, top-down approach to managing the NAS. Count on Biden to submit worthless tokens, along the lines of his VP and his DOT S-1.

In previous administrations throughout the history of the United States, the question didn’t even come up. Harry Truman had a sign on his desk proclaiming “The Buck Stops Here,” and no one doubted that it did. When Secretary of State William Seward wrote to President Abraham Lincoln politely offering to take over the heavy lifting of actually being the commander-in-chief, Lincoln just as politely replied that he would handle things, and he did. Nobody ever wondered if Theodore Roosevelt or Dwight D. Eisenhower were really in charge. But questions have swirled around Old Joe Biden’s cognitive abilities

There is an urgent immediate need for specially crafted county ordinances and state laws to protect American citizens from the totalitarian dictates of the international World Health Organization (WHO). As early as May 2023, due to a voluntary loss of U.S. sovereignty by the Biden administration, the WHO will have authority to dictate medical practice and treatments in America under WHO-declared pandemic situations, which can be manufactured at will by WHO supporters and intermediaries. In other words, WHO "elite" leaders and supporters (who include the Chinese Communist Party) will be able to dictate what American physicians, hospitals, health care workers, etc. can and cannot do during a pandemic.

In 2002, John B. Judis and Ruy Teixeira published a book entitled The Emerging Democratic Majority. Judis and Teixeira posited that historic voting patterns, urbanization, and growing minority populations could lead to Democrat party electoral dominance. However, the Democrats misinterpreted “could” to mean “would” and missed the point of the book. It wasn’t telling them what would happen. It was suggesting what could happen, if they played “big tent” politics. Due to that misinterpretation, their book became the holy grail of the Left -- and a big justification for keeping our borders open. All the Democrats had to do was

Large Hole in Dems ‘Deadly Insurrection’ Story

For over two years, Democrats have portrayed the Jan. 6 Capitol riot as a deadly insurrection staged by supporters of then-President Donald Trump and elevated the threat it posed to our “democracy” to the level of the 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor and the 9/11 terrorist attacks. They did so by cherry-picking the surveillance footage the public was allowed to see and keeping the rest under wraps for “security reasons.” On his Monday night show, Tucker Carlson shared some of the previously unseen footage and it told a remarkably different story than the one that has been force-fed to the American people by the highly partisan and duplicitous House Jan. 6 Committee.
